FORSAKEN:
Nora Colburn was perfectly content in life. A junior in high school, she had good friends, a great family, and did well in school. Nothing particularly exciting ever happened where she lived, and everything was stable.

But that all drastically changes when a new student arrives at Nora's school. Wild rumors swirl about his past, and Nora becomes determined to find out the truth.

As she gets to know the mysterious student, he shares with her an ancient secret... one that may yet put both of them in grave danger.

And for the first time in her life, Nora is exposed to a completely unfamiliar world. She is swept away on an exhilarating journey that takes her to a place where romance and great destiny may yet await... and where supernatural powers run wild.

REVELATIONS:Nora has survived the dark caves, and emerged with Hunter by her side. But her escape is quickly tainted as she realizes the biggest danger still lies ahead...

She has been transformed, and powers she has never known begin to manifest themselves within her body. As she struggles to gain control, how long will she be able to restrain herself - and her new bloodlust - from taking over?

As she journeys onward, doubts begin to creep into her mind. Doubts about leaving home, about the decisions she's made. But with the Vassiz still behind her, there is no turning back, now.

And she has questions that need to be answered. Just who are the elders, and why have they taken such a keen interest in her? As she starts the unravel the cloak that shrouds their existence, she begins to suspect that she may have stumbled into something much larger than herself... and starts to understand her destiny for the first time.

RELENTLESS:There is a prophecy that speaks of a time of great turmoil, a time when the rule of power will be overturned by the hammer of fate. That time has come, and one girl stands in the middle of it all...

Nora has been reunited with Hunter, and together they must face the elders. But this time, they have the angels on their side. It is a precious advantage, but only if used properly...

She has learned of the prophecy of her fate, and learned of her destiny. But while others are certain, she is less sure. And as she moves forward, she learns that absolutely nothing can ever be guaranteed.
FORETOLD:In the epic fourth book of The Forsaken Saga, Nora comes face to face with the elders for the first time. With Hunter and the angels at her side, she will try to do that which no one has done: destroy the elders, and break their terrible reign of power.

But it will not be easy. The elders have held on to their posts since the first memories of the Vassiz. Will prophecy be enough to guide Nora against them?

If she succeeds, the world as she knows it will change forever. But if she does not, everyone she knows will suffer a terrible fate. She is determined, but there are hidden secrets that may yet prevent her from reaching her goals...

At first it's pretty decent. I only started reading it because I clicked on it in my library by accident. I liked what I saw so I kept going. The dream world was great, I enjoyed it too. And then Nora suddenly just did everything Hunter told her to without any thought to her family. I let it slide until the end of book one. Her reasoning to convert made sense, but then the solution was right there immediately. Wholly anticlimactic and foreshadowing of books to come.
Book two became more annoying with the inner dialogue. I began to skim after it became easy for a new born vampire to resist human blood after getting a taste for the first time. At this point I didn't care about the folklore of the vampires. It became a big deal that she hadn't fed, but it was not explained why they just wouldn't feed her. Regardless, there was a fight, they split up, though after revealing why I think it was kind of lame for the subterfuge. Nora becomes very annoying in her repetitive questions, whining, and inner dialogue. In a nut shell Nora suddenly is a bad ass martial artist gymnast, that is extremely smart in solving convoluted riddles. When it came to the archive and the creature everything was predictable.
There is a huge gap from the ending of book 2 to book 3. The author leaves out a CRUCIAL encounter with angels and explanations of why the elders must be stopped. I am being forced to rely on what Nora says but I have such a low opinion of her by this time that I don't trust what she thinks. Don't even get me started on the bear. After the third or fourth reference to the angels, me becoming increasingly distracted by ANYTHING going on around me, and wishing this book was over that I threw in the towel.

The 1st book was dragging a bit. The 2nd was better I am on the 3rd and having a hard time to finish it. The main characters lack character. It is a high school girl who meets a boy who so happens to be a vampire and shows her something he wasn't supposed to and now they are after them. I guess they are supposed to be in love but there isn't anything showing it. There isn't any passion between the two or love it is just well I think I love him so I must and same for him. The book has potential but it doesn't grasp my attention. Maybe I will go back and finish it but for right now I can't keep my attention long enough to continue.

Shallow

There is not much depth to this series. Not much character development. Things resolve too easily. Too many details are left out, like you just need to trust it works this way.

Great series!

I absolutely loved this series! And just about all of the extra books that are in there are good as well, some of them I will definitely be reading again.

This is one of those series that I don't regret reading, but I wouldn't recommend. There has to be a balance between young drama, and the story, there must be some kind of structure and design to a series. This one didn't make it in my opinion.

Forsaken:
I'm not sure I liked this book, most of it doesn't make sense and it just gives questions and not answers, it's one of those books that only try to hook you into the series. It feels like not a good copy of Twilight.

Revelations:
This one was a little less Twilight, but still annoying.

I get the book is for young people, but that doesn't mean that it can get away with everything, it lacks structure, some things just don't work for me. But I will keep reading to see what happens.

Relentless
The story has potential, so I keep reading this series, but I insist there's something missing.

On one side everyone treats Nora as if she knows everything, because of the prophecy, even if she is the youngest and most inexperienced of them, on the other, they are always trying to protect her as if she is too weak to do anything, it just don't make a lot of sense.

Foretold
So final book. Not what I was expecting.

In this kind of series, I usually expect at the end for everything to fall into place, to look back and say, that's what that was about! But I didn't get that feeling with this one, there were a lot of things that bothered me with this one.

I tried. I REALLY Tried

There are so many things I could say. The grammatical errors abounded. It seemed, at times, two different people were writing. One was okay, and one just didn't cut it. For example in the book where the angels were liberated, the male angel who was spokesman was named Gabriel. A lot lame, but OK. In the following books SUDDENLY Gabriel become the feminine French name Gabrielle. A woman's name for a male angel formerly known as (no, not Prince) Gabriel, a masculine name.
And the sheer inanity continued. Where previously the hero was sharp, able to understand easily and quickly, in the later books she was a moronic teenager full of angst. There was so much illogical choices & actions, it defied reason. A lot of sentences made NO sense whatsoever. And at the end of four books Nora suddenly becomes Laura. The explanations given were so awful and completely disregarding what was previously mentioned, and flawed reasoning that I cannot even express it. English simply cannot be this woman's first language because of many reasons to include structure. And the ending conveniently ignored statements presented in the PREVIOUS paragraph.
There's so much more, but she turned the teenager into a creepy, weird thing. I don't do spoilers, but since there was NOTHING like this , this demon, anywhere else in any of the books, I can only presume the author had no idea what the meaning of what she 6turned her hero into. An evil creature.
I don't recommend this book to anyone.

Well....um. I will start by saying the first book wasn't all that bad. It was good enough to make me want to know the ending....which is the only reason I stayed till the ending. The last two books I spent more time skimming and skipping pages than actually reading and missing sleep to find out what happens...had to make myself continue so that I could find out what happens. Nora first off...is an idiot for lack of a better word. I don't even think I have to explain why I have that opinion. I picked this book up because I was going through my old Amazon account and couldn't remember reading it, now I remember I didn't bother finishing the second book. Props for creativity it was a refreshing twist on angels and "vampires" and the dream world idea was pretty clever. The writing in the first book was good enough to get everyone interested then it just slowly went down hill until the last book where it was just like "what the heck is going on". I can not recommend others to read this unless they are just looking for a light read.

Interesting story idea, probably deserved less stars

The idea behind the story and story line wee very interesting. I liked the IDEA of the characters, as well. It was good in theory, but the execution was lacking.
The character development was lacking and the story progression was extremely slow. The dialogue and story were repetitive AND inconsistent. You could tell the author had forgotten some major plot points later in each book and in the series and didn't bother to look it up to ensure consistency.
There was a large amount of time and space wasted on detailing minutia. It was, obviously, very important to the author that we "saw" three world she developed EXACTLY as she did, but it came at the cost of sorry flow and progression.

This is a story about vampires that aren't really quite vampires. If that sounds familiar, it should. But instead of being a big family drama like "Twilight," "Forsaken" is more of a road adventure where our heroes stumble into dark secrets and evil villains.
Near the end of the second book, I was enjoying myself ... but then something happened. It turned out the leading man deceived the leading lady for some crazy reason instead of simply trusting her to do the right thing. Just when the story was getting pretty suspenseful, the author had to make her characters act like idiots. I have a feeling this is a typical plot element in YA books of this type, and I really don't care for it. Three stars, because I'm feeling generous.

Not great.

I started reading this series with great hope. It was soon apparent that I was going to be disappointed. while I love the premise it wasn't executed well. I would love to see the author go back and give a little more build up and add more information about how the main character deals with leaving her whole life behind. it went downhill from there. If the author went back and worked on the book, i would give it another chance. but for now i won't be finishing the series.

Confused and Disappointed

To be honest, I had a hard time becoming interested. As I read through the second of the series, I thought it was better. But then the stories were about new characters, and confusion set in. Where were book 3 and end
ings for the other two? The final book really captured my imagination but again, it stopped. Another story about those characters was said to be below. There is nothing there, not even a link to buy the book. Ergo, the confused and oh, so disappointed title.

I made it to book 3 and I don't think I'm gonna finish the series. The main character is a doormat that basically gets dragged through the entire plot of book 1. Also I'm at the beginning of book 3 and still don't know *why* the inciting incident in book 1 happened. The decision-making part hasn't been explained at all. So they did X. BUT WHY did they do X ?!

Bella from twilight is a more active MC and she's been criticized for being passive...

I didn't read the bonus books.

Sophia did an amazing job telling Norah and Hunter's story. I did not see that ending coming at all!!!! Could use a good editor due to some spelling and grammatical errors but they are pretty easy to get past. I didn't read the bonus books that came in the boxes set but the series itself is definitely worth the time and money you invest into it.

Wow

I love to read. I hate giving anything less than 3 stars. Unfortunately with this series, I was unable to get past chapter 19 of book 1. It started out okay, but once Nora and Hunter go on the run it goes down hill from there. The dialogue between the characters are you would except watching a horrible movie. I’m sad to say but I had to give this 1 star.

Excellent and enjoyable to read. Good story line.

Characters are believable with surprising fun and depth. The series will keep readers interested to see what happens next. There are nice twists and turns that can keep you guess ing where the story might go next. Recommended for fantasy readers who enjoy ongoing efforts to the plot.

I like the story's premise but I am having a hard time with final book. There are so many questions about the characters and story in general that I had expected to be answered by this final book, but instead I seem to have even more questions. I'm at the point where I have lost interest but feel obligated to finish reading as I have already invested so much time.

Must read

It's been awhile since I finished this saga, so I'm not going into detail about it. It takes me awhile to finish a book none the less a whole saga. But that tells you how much I enjoyed the story. It was well written and I read it faster than I usually read one book. Decide for yourself when you get it. Please don't wait as long as I did to do your review. Enjoy!!

8 books

Such a pleasant surprise that instead of the forsaken 4 book set there were even more books included and the offer for one more book for free from one of the authors. Great series and extras that were good as well.

I LOVED how this story line had so many twists in it and I would have given it five stars if the ending wouldn't had been so horrible. It felt very rushed at the end and I was not satsified with it but if u have the chance please read it because it IS a good series

Good series

The series is good and kept me interested in reading it, there were some spots that she could have given a better description of but otherwise I would read it again in a heartbeat.

Mad I wasted that much of my time

The books were incredibly poorly written. The storylines we're choppy and undeveloped and the heroine was a complete moron. The only redeeming quality to this book is that I didn't have to pay for it

Not bad, if you enjoy a slow story. I've listen to this off and on over a month. It's kept me interested but just not eager to hurry up and finish.
