I was very disappointed in this book. I loved the first one, but this one was booooring. The main problem was that the love story doesn't actually start until 70% through the book. Seriously. Before that, there are just casual moments of the characters getting a glimpse of each other and saying Hi on campus. The rest is full of stupid, gag inducing sorority and fraternity scenes and conversations. Like, Who cares?? Basically NOTHING happened for a very long time and that nothingness wasn't even entertaining. This COULD have been a great story. Once they got together, I liked it, but there was not much of that. (If you are reading this because you loved their dad, Tyler or Preston, you'll be disappointed. They make VERY limited cameos.)

Two things I hated in addition to the horrible, childish sorority/ fraternity scenes: 1) the author made the heroine into a girl eager to have sex with a near stranger (which she did with two different guys.) There was not even a date or a real conversation between them first, and the heroine was the aggressor/ temptress in both instances. Ok, fine. But THEN, when Tucker questions if someone else could have fathered her baby, the author and the hero tries to tell us that the heroine is 'not like that'. Well, clearly she is. We just saw her be like that. I mean, the heroine was so busy grabbing Tucker's junk the moment he walked into the library that she didn't even listen to the words he was saying to her which were basically, 'why are you doing this? I barely know you.' Why would any self respecting woman keep seducing a guy when she is getting a vibe that that? We were supposed to be angry at the twins for tricking her, but she was All over them! The moment she sees him at a party, led Trent down a dark hallway in her panties and heels then had sex with him three minutes later; as soon as Tucker walks into the library, she grabs his junk and invites him for sex in a classroom. But she's such and innocent, wholesome girl...?? I think the author ruined a good character as a sacrifice for what she thought was a hot sex scene. Then again, everything about the heroine, Jemma, contradicted what the author and Jemma tried to tell us about her. Supposedly she was 'above' sorority hijinx, a wholesome girl who didnt even want to be in a sorority and yet she let herself be dressed as a whore and marched through campus over and over. She walked through campus and into a fraternity party in high heels and a bra and panties, dressed as a Lingerie model. (Because all wholesome girls do that, right?) THEN she saw girls there in bikinis and said she pitied them that they were willing to show that much skin. WHAT? She is standing there in lingerie as she says it!!!! Ok, I could go on and on, but you get the point.
Secondly, the book is filled with mistakes, where the author calls someone by the wrong name, and/ or completely contradicts something she has just told us about a character. It became very confusing and could have been easily corrected if she had just asked any reader and listened to a true crtitique before having this (obviously rushed) book printed. It's like the author slams something into the story, then immediately forgets what she said, and apparently she never gave anyone a chance to proof it and catch these mistakes before sending it to print!! The mistakes make the story hard to follow and leave a close reader perpetually confused. For instance, she describes two female side characters, giving one the label of 'Alabama beauty queen.' A couple sentences later, she is describing the wrong one as having a history in pageants. In the next chapter, the heroine is looking at Tucker, musing over wanting to talk to Tucker again (by name 'Tucker') and in the next sentence she says she looked over at Trent. At this point, she doesnt even know that a Trent exists, so she can't call him Trent!!! VERY annoying!!!

Spoilers ahead so read at your own risk! ;)

There were parts of this sports romance read that I absolutely adored and parts that I didn't care for. The plot wasn't too hard to figure out within the first few chapters. However, I did NOT see the amazing ending coming!

Jemma with a J transferred to the same university as her big sister attends, due to a breakup with her high school sweetheart. She needed to find herself and escape the small town life she'd always known. Jemma was that typical character who was stunningly beautiful but completely oblivious to the fact that she could turn heads. She catches the attention of Tucker, star ice hockey player and 1/2 of the Kane Twins during a rush activity for the sorority she's pledging. Instant chemistry between these two!

She continues to bump into him on campus, but it isn't always Tucker she's engaging with. One thing leads to another and she finds herself unknowingly wrapped up in the affection of both Kane twins.

When the truth comes out, Jemma has to decide which brother she cares for more or if she should just leave them both behind and move on.

What I loved about this book was Jemma's personality! She was feisty, independent and kindhearted. The Kane brothers each had their own likable qualities and made for a steamy read!

What I didn't care for was the inability for Jemma to tell the twins apart, resulting in her sleeping with both of them. This just gave her the loose and easy vibe unintentionally and humiliated her. Then she discovers she's pregnant and has to use her best guess as to who the father is. And the fact that the likely suspect just rolled with the punches and accepted her and the baby (which turned out to be babies). I felt like this plot twist tarnished the wonderful character Jemma had been built up to be. It made for a good read but left me feeling rather disappointed.

The ending was redeeming though! Trent gets drafted into the NHL and Jemma finishes college and gets a stable job. They live happily ever after as a sweet little family of 4.

Thank you to the author and Enticing Journey PR for an advanced copy of this read in exchange for an honest review.

If you've read Jillian Quinn, you've met the Kane twins before. Tucker and Trent are hot, hockey players with a notorious play boy attitude. Jemma is the new girl on campus. I feel like I can't give you a whole lot of information here without giving the plot away, but this book doesn't disappoint.

Jillian Quinn once again writes an easy to read, sports romance that sucks you in and leaves you feeling invested in the characters and the outcomes of their lives.

Trent is the gentle twin , nice , smart , thoughtful, and so handsome.
Jemma is sweet , romantic and falling for him fast. They are inseparable, then she realises that maybe the protection they took was not as effective as they thought.
Can their relationship work if it’s three not two of them.
Excellent sports romance

This book honestly pissed me off. I get the whole “insta-lust” shit happening in these types of books, but to literally screw someone when you know literally nothing about them is just so foreign to me. I know one-night stands happen all the time without finding out a lot of details about each other, but come on - how could she not know they are twins?! Seriously?! And HOW COULD Trent just deal with the fact that his brother fucked his girl? I mean, wtf. Wouldn’t that be awkward forever?

I have desperately been waiting for this story to come out since I finished the last book in the series.I was not disappointed with Keeping Kane because it had everything I love within a collage sport romance. There was a lot of emotion throughout the story that I really felt within this book. The author did a fantastic job wiring this story and creating characters that I loved reading.

Jemma was different to the other sorority girls in the book with the way that she didn't care what others thought about her.I really enjoyed the relationship she developed with the twins and the mix up she has when she meets both of them at first.

Trent I really enjoyed reading about and reading about the things that he and his twin got up too. I found him incredible sweet character that really loved his family and friends.

Keeping Kane is the second book in the Face Off Legacy and part of the story takes place during the first book in series.

This was an easy read story that you cannot stop reading once you start. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts creating a hot read. This is a definite must read

This is a bit of a continuation of The Face Off Series. In this series - Face Off Legacy Series, we have the children who are in college now, just about all are living together and going to the same college.

In this book we have Jemma. She is a Junior, but a new transfer student to Strickland University. She is also rushing a sorority - one where her mother was in and her sister, Jordan is also currently in. Jemma needs a change from the small town life she was in. Her family owns a large dairy. They aren't hurting for money at all. But, they don't show off that they are rich or come from money, both girls seem very humble.

Trent Kane, is the son of a hockey legend. His twin brother Tucker and him always switch places. Sometimes even during dates. Many girls on Strick U campus will tell you they weren't sure if it was Tucker or Trent they actually slept with.

Jemma doesn't know they are twin the Kane brothers. She knows she slept with one, but, thought it was the other, but, then when she see's them together, she's not sure which one is which or which one she kissed or slept with.

I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving a honest review.

Jemma is the new girl on campus that transfer her junior year that needed a new start. She met an amazing guy who happened two be actually two guys twins. She didn't know she was talking to two guys.
Trent met Jemma and sparks flew. She was different. He didn't expect that Tucker met her too and was interested as well. Who does she like? Who does she want? Can he get the girl and still play hockey? More importantly who is the dad?

I really liked this book. It was really good. But I wanted more. Once the whole confusion was cleared up the story moved full speed ahead. I wanted more to get to fall in love with the guy Jemma picked. I felt Jemma followed her heart and picked right. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because I didn't feel as connected as I wanted to. The potential was there but it was rushed leaving me less connected. As a reader, I needed more time to feel their connection considering she was accidentally talking to both of the twins. But regardless, I did really enjoy it and can't wait to read about the other twin.

Obviously had to read this as soon as it came out, as much as I like the OG Face Off books, I really do like the main characters in the Legacy books so much more. This one in particular was great, better than the first. The storyline was creative, like of course you’d run from marrying your childhood sweetheart and accidentally sleep with twins and get pregnant! It sounded crazy when I read the bio originally but actually it was believable that it could happen, although I didn’t get why Tucker was chasing Jemma after he found out about Trent and her because he obviously was not that interested in her.
Anyway, this was great. Loved it. Hot hockey players are just the best. Looking forward to the next 4, in particular Jameson’s book.
I know we’ve got Breaking Bex and Playing Parker to come but I will not be happy if they break up Jillian Quinn! Far too invested in the characters lives for a break up!

I was so excited for this book, especially with how the first book ended, knowing the predicament the Kane brothers were in. However, I was pretty letdown with what happened. I felt like the beginning dragged. I understood the purpose, showing the readers how exactly the confusion between the twins occurred. But I felt like it went on longer than was needed. I just wanted the romance to really hit off.

Another thing I didn't like was Tucker wanting to fight for Jemma? Why? In his POVs, he never really wanted to pursue anything with her other than just sex. Even after sleeping with her, he was dumbfounded, wondering why Jemma wanted to take things further. Trent's POV was more along the lines of wanting t get to know her and date her. So I thought that fight between them was really unnecessary and the plot wasn't matching the argument. Also when she found out they were twins, it was pretty obvious that Trent was the right choice lol I mean Tucker just didn't do it for me, not even a little lol. So whatever, they fight and then Tuck's all like yeah I'll back off??? I mean why have that kind of drama but then just kill it off quickly.

Another unnecessary drama: when Jemma found out she was pregnant. She told Trent cause by then they were solely and actively dating each other. And she was pissed at his reaction and his line of questioning?!?!? I mean ... he's not wrong. All he did was a) ask if she wanted to keep the baby and b) if it was his. I don't understand why she's pissed from the first question because in this day and age, keeping the baby, adoption, and abortion are all options. He legit just wants to know what you want. If you want the baby, great. If you don't, great. Trent is the kind of guy who would be there for her whichever way she chose. So that was stupid to react that way. NOW. Is the baby his?? If Trent was the only person in the picture, yeah I'd be insulted but Jemma also slept with Tucker. Like the day after soooo that father can actually be either of them. I mean we'll never really know lol sure Trent has a higher chance of being the dad since they had a mishap with the condom but .... people get pregnant with condoms on too. SO TUCKER COULD ALSO HAVE BEEN THE FATHER. WHY ARE YOU PISSED THAT HE ASKED A LEGITIMATE QUESTION!!!!! That did it for me with this book because she had no reason to be angry with Trent but whatever, let's make it dramatic.

Then the epilogues are cute but by then I was already done with this book. But I still liked it overall lol if that makes any sense. I miss Parker though!

I mean…. Wow. Not what I was expecting at all. Keeping Kane is an amazing book. I really enjoyed the story and characters. I also loved that we got a glimpse into the characters from book one as well, but during everything they were going through. I am beyond excited for the next set of characters.
The plot of this book was interesting. What happens when a girl falls for a boy? Happily ever after? Or does she realize that there are two boys? That look exactly the same? How will our main girl handle it? Will she make the right choice or is it destined to burn in flames?
Jemma is such a great character. She is uniquely herself. She has a backbone. She also has real flaws. I liked that she was realistic yet strong. Then you have Tucker and Trent. Each have their personality traits that tell them a part, but they are also similar in some ways. I loved getting to know each of them.
The heat in this book is off the charts. I mean just from the first chance meeting between Jemma and one of the twins we could tell things were going to be hot. Add in the second twin and the confusion that follows actually added to the heat for me. Which one is she responding to? Which one is the one she has chemistry with? Read it to find out.
The writing style of this book was good. It was told from three point of views, which works for this book. The pace of the story is steady. I really liked the minor characters. I am interested to see where the author takes some of them. I really liked this world.
Overall, this is a great book. While there is no cheating, this book does skirt a dangerous line. For me, it was perfect, but I can see how others might not enjoy it. I just urge you to give it a shot.

Keeping Kane is the second book in the Face-Off Legacy series. Jemma is a junior transfer student and she’s pledging to her family’s sorority. In the process, she meets Tucker. Being brand new, she doesn’t know his backstory or who he is on campus, but she’s really attracted to him and is really liking hanging out with him during school and Greek activities. After realizing she’s starting to give him pieces of her heart, her world is rocked when she finds out Tucker is a twin and she spent time with both of them. Which one has her heart and can they survive this drama?

I couldn’t decide if I wanted to smack Jemma, Tucker, and Trent, or if I just wanted to laugh at the madness that surrounded them! Jemma is sweet and slightly naive, but she tries to stay in tune with what she wants and needs, and I love that she takes chances and opens herself up to different opportunities, such as moving away from her ex and joining a sorority that she doesn’t necessarily enjoy. Tucker and Trent are so used to swapping places and being grouped together as one, that when the opportunity for them to be different arises, they don’t really know what to do or how to act. I love that they had their own internal drama with the Jemma situation as well as the outside forces going on with hockey and school. I don’t want to give anything away, but I do love how it all ended and wrapped up, and it set up for the next book pretty well, too. I liked that not everything was predictable and I loved the sense of community and family that Jemma found towards the end, too! If you’re looking for a sports romance that’s light on the sports, heavy on the drama, and with dashes of comedy, passion, and fun, this is the book for you!

I LOVE the Face-Off Legacy series, and while I LOVED Keeping Kane, I didn't expect quite the direction I was taken in to be honest. Gotta love it when amazing authors like Jillian Quinn keep the surprises coming! Now, in this series, there's a set of trouble maker twins, Tucker & Trent. They share everything, but tend to get themselves in a lot of trouble by keeping up this practice. They have just gotten into another mess, when Trent comes across a girl named Jemma, and he wants her from the moment he sees her. The problem is, as soon as Tucker sees Jemma, he wants her as well. Jemma has just transferred in for a fresh start when she meets Trent, and the sparks are crazy, so she decides to go with it. However, she gets more than she bargained for, when she finds out that Trent has a twin, after she was with them both. Yeah, poor Jemma, the shame she felt radiated out of my kindle, it was so potent so the feels were strong! And I loved that the cast of secondaries that made up her sister & sorority house backed her up, not to mention made me laugh when they wanted to put a hurt on the twins. Then there were the twins teammates, who ended up being a voice of reason for them as well. And just when I was good with Trent, he goes & throws another twist out there, so I was really ready to hurt him. Ms. Quinn really has a gift for keeping me on my toes, and after I finished this story, I knew that Tucker's story should be a doozie! So that's all from me, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

What would you do if you had the attention of not just one hot and sexy guy, but two and IDENTICAL at that!

Jemma was living a comfortable life with her family at the farm and she was with her high school sweetheart, but when he proposed to her, she knew right then and there that she wasn't meant to marry him and she wanted so much more so she transferred colleges and went to the same school her sister went. She was pledging to join the sorority that her sister was a member of.

She wasn't very keen on doing all the silly crap that they had her doing, but she knew she had to do it if she wanted to get in. While pledging one of their silly ideas, she runs into the most gorgeous guy and she was instantly attracted to him. Little did she know that she would not only have Tucker's attention, but Trent's as well. Only problem is that she doesn't know that there are two and apparently she doesn't figure it out right away.

Things are about to get oh so much more complicated with her and the twins!!

This book was a very fun, sweet, flirty read. I loved the twins, they were so different and yet so similar at the same time and that's why it was so hard for Jemma to figure out that there were two of them. To have the attention of hot twins must make Jemma feel special especially when there are so many beautiful girls in school, yet she has the attention of the hot twins.

I loved this book!

The Kane brothers are well known on campus for being players, on the ice and off, they go thru woman like most go through underpants. Their philosophy being: their young, free from the watchful eyes of their parents, so why not have a little fun. But their their fun and games time has hit a little snag, they've just been busted again for pulling a switch-a-roo again, and this time the dean isn't letting them off so easy. They must complete a little campus community service at one of the sororities, which brings them to the doorstep of a certain beautiful redhead. The moment Tucker and Trent's eyes land on Jemma they fall hard for her, but she doesn't seem to receptive to dating a player... but they are both determined to change her mind! Which also means there is a challenge brewing...

The Kissing Game started off with a powerful punch, and with each page that followed the hits just kept coming, wow what a read! This one had a nice mix of sports, drama, romance, and of course steamy times, it was a perfectly blended tale that did not disappoint. These characters had me in their corner as soon as I met them, their road to finding the happily ever after they deserved was riddled with bumps and valleys, but I held on tight, with high hopes that they would find the right path. The Face-Off series is one of my all time favorites, and I to say this new series is definitely giving it's predecessor a run for it's money, it's downright outstanding!! I highly recommend you take a chance on this one, the moment you meet the Kane brother's they will charm their way into your heart!

Keeping Kane by Jillian Quinn
“Which twin is it? 4 stars”

Jemma is from a farming community and decided to transfer to a different college her junior year. She needed a fresh start, and this was her shot. What she didn’t plan was meeting the Kane twins and how they would turn her life upside down. When she finds herself pregnant what will she do?
Trent wanted Jemma from the moment he met her. What he didn’t expect was for his brother to like her as well. Who will get the girl? If he’s the lucky one will he be able to keep her? What about hockey? And most importantly is he the dad?
First off, I feel the need to point out the love triangle in this story is no where near as scandalous as it sounds. But it really did add a twist to the story that was good. I felt like Jemma ended up with the right twin and I’m excited to see what Quinn does for Tucker. Even though it was a solid story I had no problem setting it down and doing what I needed around my home. I didn’t keep drifting to my phone to read instead which lead to a 4 instead of a 5-star rating. Even with that said I hope you enjoy Keeping Kane.

I have been impatiently waiting for this book for a while now and I can say it did not disappoint! I love the face off series and re-read tge books once in a while and I am so happy that the stories are continuing with this new spin-off series! My least favorite part of a book is when it ends, however I have to say that the last few chapters of this book definitely put a nice bow on everything! I would have liked for there to be a little bit more relationship development between Trent and Jemma. I felt like things were rushed at times. Also I would have liked if Jemma had made Trent work for her forgiveness a little more after he screws up when she shares her news with him. I feel like it was too quick of a resolution of conflict. All in all this was a great read, one I will probably read again once or twice or a dozen other times over the years! I can't wait to see what happens next and as the rest of the series develops I hope we get to learn more about what happens with Trent and Jemma post Keeping Kane epilogue!

Wow what another great book by Jillian Quinn. She really turned the heat up on this one. It was 🔥🔥🔥🔥,sexy as hell, there was drama, alpha males strutting their stuff, sorority chicks doing the same, and a poor little farm girl, Jemma, new to college life, trying to find herself where she fit in. Along comes Trent and Tucker the twins, and Jemma found herself feeling good about herself , until she found out she didn’t know which twin she had been with and had feelings for. The brothers were not happy with each other and were no longer talking to each other, because each thought they were moving in on their girl. But they were known to have been done this before, switching places with each other. So Jemma was totally confused and refused to talk to either one, until they had a contest and she had bid on Trent, since no one else did, like a pity bid. That’s all I can say for now but you have to read her book. It was awesome and another great book of hers. If you like her books, this one you don’t want to miss. ❤️❤️❤️

Jemma has recently transferred to the college that her sister was attending as she wanted more than the life that was being offered to her from the farming community where she was raised. She has decided to pledge to the same sorority as her sister which is how she met the Kane twins even though she thought they were one person.

Trent and Tucker are the Kane twins. They play on the hockey team, enjoy switching places with each other which gets them into trouble on occasion and have a way with women. When Trent met Jemma, they were instantly drawn to each other, but a case of mistaken identity would have Tucker and Jemma develop feelings for each other as well.

Only one of them will be able to win Jemma’s heart and one of them will be left with a broken heart but when all is said and done will all their relationships survive the outcome?

In the end I believe that Jemma chose the right man for her but now I need the other twin to find his happy ever after as well. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Had some issues

It bothers me that the author didn’t keep track of her characters. She should have kept notes on them. Numerous times she confused Jemmas friends Zoe and Riley and it got really annoying. Also confused the twins. She wrote Tuckers POV but wrote a sentence or two as if she was writing Trents POV. It was already hard to keep track with both twins.

Editing issues. Details that were overlooked and sentences that didn’t make sense. Added words that don’t need to be there. A few sentences that had repeated words and more than just one repeated word. Needs another look. Takes away from the story because it’s so frustrating.

As for the story itself, I liked it. It was a good read and I fell in love with Trent from the beginning. He’s a much better guy than his brother. The story had some bumps but it was still enjoyable. A good concept and an interesting twist for a story but could have been executed better had the Author took more time on it. Felt a little sloppy.

When I read the blurb for Keeping Kane I knew I needed this book in my life. It had so many things I love: sports romance, hockey, hot twins, and a surprise baby. Add to that Jillian Quinn’s great writing that blends romance, sports, and plenty of steam in just he right measure, and I was one happy little bookworm!

I loved the twins. Tucker and Trent are cocky with just he right amount of sweet to keep any girl swooning for days and charm her socks off. And swooning is exactly what they had Jemma doing even if she was reluctant at first. I really enjoyed getting to see these characters fight for their happiness and navigate their way through all the bumps on the way there. I just wish I could have had a bit more time with them, but I guess it’s because I’m just greedy and loved them so much I didn’t want to let go.

Jemma & Trent

I managed to do what I swore I’d never do, and jumped into a series without starting at the beginning. After reading the first two books in Jillian Quinn’s series Face-Off, I felt the deep need to see how the child of characters I fell in love with were doing in their adult life. While I’m extremely happy with how Trent developed and how his relationship formed, I just felt like the story was missing something. The story is a HEA, but it felt almost too easy for them to get to that point. While I’m glad Trent turned out to be an awesome person like his father (Kane Face-off Series) , I just felt like Jemma needed a little bit more to her. I rated it 4/5 stars, simply because it was a good read that I finished in one sitting, but I was left wanting just a little bit more of something.
