Rate this book
A mysterious medieval cross. A love that transcends time. Can two soulmates find each other again—before fate tears them apart once more?

Lucy Bianchi is a shy art historian with a plan: finish her PhD, land her dream job, and then maybe find time for love. But one chance encounter with a magnetic British rock star sends her carefully curated life spiraling into the extraordinary.

Justin Hamilton, the lead singer of Indigo, has everything—fame, fortune, and women at his feet. But something's always been missing. Then he meets Lucy…and everything clicks. Their connection is instant. Electric. Unexplainable.

And when they see the Varangian Cross in a museum exhibit, memories neither of them should possess come flooding back.

Their bond spans continents—and maybe lifetimes. But fame, scandal, and secrets from the past threaten to tear them apart.

Book 1: Discovering You
When Lucy meets Justin, sparks fly—and something deeper stirs. Their attraction is undeniable, but so is the strange sense they've known each other forever. As memories resurface when they encounter the Varangian Cross, Lucy must decide whether to cling to the safe world she knows or embrace a love that defies logic.

Book 2: Waiting for You
A week apart feels like a lifetime. Justin is desperate for word from Lucy, while she’s hiding out in L.A., consumed with regret. When the Varangian Cross is sold to a private collector in London, Lucy jumps at the chance to deliver it—and maybe reconnect. But a scandal erupts, forcing Justin into hiding, and their reunion is shadowed by returning nightmares that may be more than dreams.
Note: Contains scenes that may be triggering to survivors of sexual violence.

Book 3: Always With You
On the island of Santorini, an enigmatic seer offers answers—but only if she can study the Varangian Cross. The artifact, however, is now locked away in London. As Justin and Lucy chase the truth across borders, they must confront forces—both past and present—that seem determined to keep them apart.
Note: Contains scenes that may be triggering to survivors of sexual violence.

Book 4: Ever After With You
With their past uncovered and their future finally in reach, Justin and Lucy return to L.A. But new challenges arise: Justin's solo career pulls him away, and Lucy’s museum colleagues question her sudden rise and famous boyfriend. Staying together means forging a new path—one built not just on passion, but on trust, purpose, and love that’s finally their own.

Kate McBrien

Kate McBrien writes sexy, witty contemporary romance. She has an MA in art history, specializing in medieval manuscripts—which means she can decode a 14th-century Book of Hours at twenty paces.

Before turning to fiction, she spent years as a dental hygienist, offering gentle coaxing to reluctant flossers.

A friend once dared her to try National Novel Writing Month—and that dare turned into eight love stories (and counting). She meant to write historical fiction, but the romance kept cutting in.

Kate lives near Monterey Bay with her husband and their Labrador, Lola, who runs the house. When she’s not writing, she’s walking the beach, baking carbs, or deep in a Grateful Dead playlist.

True luv

I just finished the entire series. I thought it was a rockstar story, but to be honest it more than a rockstar it’s tali’s about soulmates past and present. Tells the story through songs that relate to the characters emotions. Finally the story is told by collections of art,art history and artifacts that are related to these to characters who found luv. But one question , will they have that family they were told to believe.

This was a nice contemporary romance, but it was a little bit bland until the 3rd book. It was good, but would have liked a little more going on.

I really enjoyed the little bit of paranormal aspect in it though- definitely liked that! All in all, it was a nice romantic comedy that was nice to read, but not really memorable.
