So, I went home hoping to figure out who that girl was at the train station. Of course, nothing is ever easy and as the war builds, I become a chess piece in a game I want no part of.
A new world opens up and a prophecy becomes reality, but the humans won't get away unscathed this time. But will the most important person to me be lost forever?
Some things don't change. Crow is still Crow. The jerk.
Jen Pretty is a well- known and prolific writer of smart urban fantasies. Her novels are character driven, witty, often violent, and with a liberal sprinkling of coarse language. Some of her books genre-hop into mythology, pulling characters and situations from a variety of sources. When not writing, Jen can be found in the barn with her horses, or knee-deep in the vegetable garden at her home in rural Ontario, Canada, which she shares with her husband, three children, and a white husky dog named Salt.
The book is good. A little sad about certain things that happen but gives you hope for the future. Selena keeps learning more about her powers with Crow. A black crow that answers to Crow. Selena left Nick in Arizona to take over his father's reign as King of the Vampires. But something does not feel right. When she gets back to Sanctuary, she realizes that Nick's twin brother had taken Nick's place instead. They rush back to find out where Nick was and it shocked everyone what happened to Nick. Read to see what happens next.
Number three in the series and I'm loving every turn of my Kindle page. It doesn't stop being interesting, exciting, breath taking and a little gory, but that's Vampires for you. The black crow has fought the battle along with the witches, warlords, the vampire King and her new vampire friend, not forgetting Dorothy and her 'brother' Colvin. Just about ready to start book four now .Four for a Birth'.
Like the series. You get caught up in all the fast paced storyline. Relatable and likeable characters. Emotionally charged and attached to the characters.
