The witches want to cure me of being a shifter. The wolves want to kill me for being a witch. I don’t belong in either world. But at least I’m useful.
The Alpha Council sends me on a special mission to infiltrate The Day. But there are two terrible conditions the council sets for me to find my warlock father and fight The Day: 1. I have to go alone, 2. I have to make sure my men don’t follow.
Because my fated mates’ protectiveness and passion might make them follow me right into the chaos, first I need to kiss them goodbye…and poison them behind their backs. The potion they drink will destroy their feelings for me.
I said I’d make any sacrifice for them.
Now I’ve sacrificed their love to save their lives.
This series keeps getting better and better; in my opinion, this is the best one yet! I adore these characters; they each have a draw that pulls you in, wanting to learn more, and keep you turning the pages to discover their secrets.
Maddie has such a fiery, protective, determined personality; she wants to protect and take care of everyone regardless of the personal cost to her (and this time it might be too high!) and she keeps going no matter the odds against her but underneath it all, she has such a soft and gentle nature. The decisions she makes may not be the best and have serious repercussions that end up affecting them all in a huge way, but you have to feel for the girl because she works with what information she has at the time and makes the best decisions she can to protect everyone and end the reign of The Day for good. At the end of the day though, you cannot help but wonder if the choices she made and the course she follows will end with a victory or be an epic failure that shatters the love and trust between her and the guys. Will it be the end of everything she loves or can she, indeed, go home again?
Rafe, Lex, Tyson, Jensen, and Chase have all grown individually and as a team and we get to see more emotional growth for them all as they struggle through an unknown situation that could have horrible consequences and end up breaking their bond. They each have such strong, independent personalities and their protective instincts towards Maddie and each other have forged a strong connection between them all and it is awesome to see them finally all get along and work together as one unit (yet there are still a few hits they take along the way in this book that have you questioning if it will all be okay). When truths are revealed and more secrets exposed, the feeling of betrayal and heartache may be too much for them to overcome. Will they be able to read between the lines and see behind the lies to right their course before it is too late? Or will the emotional toll be too much in the end?
The tension, anxiety, emotions, and drama are higher than ever in this book along with many twists and surprises and hot sexy scenes! Maddie is alone and vulnerable yet more determined than ever to succeed. Along her journey she learns much more about herself and her family and even gets a shock or two along the way. An ally?...or enemy?...shows his face and there is someone else working in the background with their own agenda and she has no idea who to trust.
This book, like the others, is written in multiple POVs with a fast-paced storyline full of suspense, mystery, action, romance, and intensity that pulls you in. This one also takes a slight turn from the solid academy storyline as Maddie ventures off course for her mission. The academy scene is still there with the guys, as they try to puzzle out what is going on, but it focuses more on her and her entwinement with The Day until closer to the end. There is so much in this book you do not want to miss!! I am really looking forward to the final book to see how everything plays out.
This is a series you need to read in order to fully understand the background and plot of the overall story. Each book picks up where the previous ends sharing more information and revealing more secrets along the way.
Not since Book 1, have I been more aggravated and annoyed with Maddie.... ugh!!! I get it, I understand, considering the 'big picture' aspect that she is thinking about, but come on girl! Choices matter. In one swift move, our main female character rips away what has been built over the last few books, leaving her crew - and the reader, reeling, just as she descends into the hell of snakes and vipers that is the Day.
It's crazy, fast paced and a bit confusing at times. Like all May Dawson sagas, things only grow complicated and complex as the series moves on. Certain things are resolved, but so many other things are left up in the air - or set up to explode in Book 5!
Thankfully, we DO get a few answers in this installment, some resolutions and a few things smoothed over. Silas, that lovely if somewhat duplicitous Wizard, is found.... though I won't spoil how THAT goes down. Let's just say, he lives up to his 'Incredible' title, and lands in an even more precarious spot. Then there's Ty.... who is just breaking my heart. Or Rafe! OK, so there is just TOO MUCH in this book to talk about, answers to be found, plots to thicken, questions to ask and dangers to face.
In other words, it's a May Dawson book.... and things are getting dicey.
*I received an ARC of this book and am Thrilled to share my honest opinion*
Pros: ~ Dynamic writing that weaves and flows, twisting up the characters and the readers. I don't quite know what is going on, but I'm not complaining about it. ~ Rafe!! He may be my favorite... stubborn fool. ~ The moment when the Title makes sense. Ugh. ~ The Headmaster, surprisingly enough.
Cons: ~ There is almost TOO much going on. ~ For the first time, Maddie really DOES
Perspective ~ First Person, Multiple POV
Ending Type ~ Cliffhanger
Rating ~ R to mature
Romantic Dynamic ~ MMMMMMF (??)
Character Age Range ~ 18+
My Final Verdict on Unforgivable
Maddie's story is weaving, wrapping around the characters while somehow in a permanent state of flux. Questions are asked, a few answers are given and the plot, already complicated and dense, somehow gets even more complex... leading up to what promises to be an explosive Book 5!
OMG this storey just keeps getting better and better!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its like an addiction and with only 1 book left in the series to come i am both excited to see how everything finished but also devastated as i dont want this storey to end. SPOLIER ALERT! Maddie does the hardest thing imaginable and walks away from her men whilst cursing them into not loving her any more trying to break the bond so that she doesnt hurt them but it takes better on some and not others and its to be fair horrible that the curse takes so well. On the other hand she finds Silas or should i say his next persona as he is also undercover in the Coven. Full of action, heart break, passion, moments of laughter and also moments of sheer fraustration because as some questions are answered others are formed. Once again this author takes you in directions you didnt see coming and there are plenty of twists and truns in this book which you would expect from May Dawson. A wonderfully addictive read that you wont be able to put down.
Unforgivable is a great addition to the series, but not my favorite.
I do not want to tell you what to like and not like about a book. I always let the reader find out for them selves and form their own opinion.
I felt the pace was spot on, which flows true for the series so far. The characters are great as usual. What made this one not a favorite is Maddie. I know May has a plan for the series and the characters always have their strengths and weakness, but ugh. She was getting me. I will not say no more on that, because honestly it does not take away from the story itself.
Things are fast paced, confusing at times, complicated and complex on some things. We get answers and then we get more questions. Which I have found is usual with this author. You just never know what to expect and you are always on your toes.
So well done May, and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
I love this series. With each book it just gets better and better. It’s fast paced and highly addictive, snarky and dangerous, intense and dramatic and has a fantastic storyline! There were times I cried, times I laughed and times I found myself gasping as I joined Maddie on her rollercoaster of a journey and once again I was on the edge of my seat till the very end.
What an awesome story. Maddie walks away from her men, to save them. Not an easy choice. I couldn’t stop reading. Ready for the last one. Love the characters.
Another awesome book in Their Shifter Academy Series. This book had all the feels in in. Love loss and more. It also had some great one liners and quips!
I absolutely adore this series, I have from the first story. Maddie and her men are back, well apart from Silas he's still missing and Maddie has no idea if he is dead or alive, no matter what spell she performs she just can't find him. Tensions at the Academy are high, some know of Maddie's magic and plan to make her useful, but could her next mission destroy what she has with her men?
I absolutely adore Maddie, she's so feisty and doesn't take any c**p and she's so protective of those she loves that she's determined to protect them no matter the cost to herself, even if it means losing the love of her men. As the book progresses she finds herself without her men, but also drawn to one of her captors. But even alone she's still fierce and strong and up to the challenge. There were some parts where honestly I thought she would break, but she dug deep within herself and overcame everything that was thrown at her.
As usual in this series Rafe frustrated me, you can see how much he cares about Maddie and how much he fights his feelings for her and I've spent the three previous books in the series so far wanting his walls to finally drop and it looked like in this book it might actually happen.
I love the multiple POVs in this series as it gives you the perspective of all the different characters and not just a one-sided opinion. Because of this, you can really see how the characters have grown throughout the series and they just keep getting better and better. The cliffhanger ending leaves you wanting more and I can't wait for the fifth book in this series to see where it takes Maddie and her men after what happened in this book.
Ugh!! This book had me really all the way through!!!
So book 5 picks up pretty much where book 4 ends and there is a great smooth-over for the transition. As Maddie and the boys try to go on with life as normal, trouble is brewing ursine the fates of the academy. Maddie is tasked with a mission that will either save the packs or destroy them and she doesn’t want, and can’t let, her boys to be dragged into it. Doing the unthinkable (not going to say) she runs off and seeks out her father and in turn the Day.
This book has so many plot twists and turns it’ll have you holding on for dear life! The character progression-all main characters- has continued and leaves us with a host of fantastic people. Certain people you thought you’d hate actually have shown some redeeming characteristics and you start to respect them. Others start to frustrate you even more and you just want to shake them from all your anger. And we get answers to the Silas issue!
Don’t get too used to having questions answered though in this book though. As soon as you get some answers there are even more questions that come up! This is setting up book 5 brilliantly and promises to be an amazing ending. As bittersweet as it is I am looking forward to it with baited breath!
The author does a fantastic job at painting a whole new world for us to escape in. The details are excellent and the dynamics of the main characters are brilliant-and hot! Definitely worth a read!!
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "UNFORGIVABLE" This us one excellent series that keeps getting better with each book so much happens in this story keeping you turning page after page to see what happens next. Maddie is a fiery protector to everyone but herself at what cost will she go to her fates mates safe the witches want to cure her of being a shifter and the wolves want her dead cause she's a witch. The Apha Council sends her on a mission to infiltrate the Day she has to fight them and find her warlock father and she can't take her mates. Maddie sets out into more dagger and chaos meeting new friends she learns alot about her past and what it'll cost her and her fated mates, This is absolutely a must have book you don't want to miss getting I definitely recommend to read the entire series May Dawson did an awesome with this series its a must have for sure so well written with terrific engaging characters.
5 stars for Unforgivable by May Dawson. This is book 4 in Their Shifter Academy Series. Ok so I waited to start this book till the rest of the series was finished. My nerves could not handle waiting. Maddie is going to do something that her guys may not forgive her for. “I surrender the love between us. I break the bond. Where there was tenderness, let there be nothing. Where there was desire, let there be nothing.” I have to say this was the most emotional book for me up to this point. I had tears running down my face like I was involved. Maddie goes through a lot emotionally and physically in this book. I know we have seen she is strong in other books, but in this book, I think we truly see she isn’t just physically strong but mentally strong also. She is also facing the witches of The Day in this book. I liked getting to see that part also. I can not wait to see everything is to come for this group.
This might be my favorite book in the series so far. I was so engrossed in the story I could not put it down. Worth the wait and worth the read! Lots of angst and feels in this one!
*Spoilers* All the stress and anguish Maddie and Ty feel about their relationship really got me. I was silently begging for them to get this figured out and to get back together the whole time...only for it to not happen! However there were delicious parts with Echo. I thought I loved Silas before well I love him even more now! And lex broke my dang heart with his love and *squeal* they can now be together!!!!! Also if I do not get a sexy Rafe scene soon I might just combust! Can’t wait to see them save the shifters! And hopefully Maddie's wolf as well??? Please! I am looking forward to the Fae world and seeing what happens next!

*Spoiler Alert* Book 4 in this series and not only has the action gone up a level so has the tension too. This was my favourite book in the series so far. Maddie (FMC) is given a dangerous mission that could not only threaten her but could ruin her relationship with her guys- Lex, Rafe, Jensen, Penn, Chase and Ty. Things also become strained between Maddie and Ty. I understand the reason why but Ty just frustrated the hell out of me. Im hoping the both sort it out in the next book? Oh and a new guy Echo rocks up but hes not only an enigma but he swings from helping her cope to his own form of torture. A strange guy but a good addition to this book. Keeps you on your toes. Im totally loving this series though. Its just getting better with every book. A damn fine read
I've rather enjoyed this series. I think Rafe is by far my favorite out of all Maddie men. I'd really love some more to happen with that relationship🙄 I was slightly annoyed with Maggie in this book for some of the choices that she decided to make, but I'm assuming that will all be resolved in the next book. I'm liking Silas a bit more this book. He always seemed so aloof and unreadable throughout the other books. He's starting to became a favorite of mine. I was surprised by how things transpired with Ty, but I'm hopeful things will work out in the end. I'm looking forward to see what happens in the next book and to see how things play out. Especially with Rafe!
I somewhat powered through these books. I liked the story and I wanted to know what would happen tk the characters but I found one flaw that just kept repeating itself.
They called Maddie a brat ALL THE TIME. And sorry but I didn't get it. I did not feel like she was one. They undermined her all the time. She did something or nothing at all for that matter, she just was in a conversation with one of the boys and the boy would call her a brat and insufferable and so on. Okay so the thing is, you can think that about her, even though I think it is not true, but you love her even though you don't like who she is??! WTF. I just don't get it. It was as if they had it tattooed in their mainds and it were their go to insult for her if she did something they didn't like. I JUST don't get it!
Angst, drama, betrayal, magic, everything you could possibly want in the second to last book of a series. Oh! Let’s not forget love and sexy times!
Maddie stays true to form, making reckless choices for herself and others. Doing the wrong or painful things for what she feels is the right reason. I spent an inordinate amount of time wanting to smack sense into dumbass youngsters. Been awhile since my Mom side was seriously provoked by a book. Not sure if that’s good or bad, but it’s fact.
Definitely need to read the next book to see how it all ends. I’m also saying a prayer to the writing gods that Ms Dawson has learned to write a better multiples steamy scene... cause not gonna lie, hers kinda suck.
Book 4 picks up immediately after Undone. The previous books in the series should be read first and in order (1. Unwanted, 2. Unclaimed, 3. Undone) in order to get the most enjoyment and know what's going on. You'll need the backstory for Silas, Rafe, Lex, Chase, Jensen, Penn, Tyson, Clearborn, and others. Now, Silas barely escapes several tense confrontations before returning to our Earth. Maddie gets a top-secret assignment that puts her into danger with her father, Winter, the witches, and introduces Echo and his cat; Alice; and the Everly sisters. Maddie must be accepted by the witches and by her father or be killed. There is almost non-stop action or sex, often one leading into the other. Violence peaks at the end, for a cliffhanger to Book 5 (which I'm going to start right now…)
I want to throttle May Dawson for getting me addicted to this series but I want to hug her for the same reason! The world building is amazing and I love Maddie and her men but I’m not so fond of the big bad meanies but then again, that is the point. Right? Maddie is out into the most awful impossible position with a heinous decision to make… no, I will not give spoilers but dang it, this book will cause you pain, necessary but very painful. I have to confess that with the amount of errors and name foul ups I really had to take a star, there was just no way I could keep giving 5 when the errors were so much worse, yes, I caved but seriously they are simple fixes and should have been caught.
This series just keeps getting better and better with each book. Sadly only one left in series and there’s a lot of loose ends to tie up. Maddie is once again engulfed in drama and mayhem and with her life in danger. With new friends and foes she learns more of her past but at great cost to her plus to her men. I am absolutely not disappointed with Mays ability to engross me in Maddies world. So extremely well written and the plot isn’t foreseeable, which I absolutely love and need in a book. The relationship she has with her men, feels real and not forced. You must read this continuation of Maddies series!!! You will not be disappointed
Maddie, a pack princess that embraces magic, is given a choice to accept a dangerous mission in this fourth book. As the story progresses an even tougher decision is made, the danger comes from more sources than initially thought, and surviving to live another day could break everything she has built. May Dawson’s Unforgivable is a stunning reverse harem academy read that would be unforgivable to miss. She has thrown so much at Maddie and her men, that I am not sure how she is still standing.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Just when you think Maddie can do nothing to surprise you this book happens. She is sent in to infiltrate the Day under the guise of seeking her father. She chooses some questionable methods to keep the guys out it, gets a blast from the past, and ends things with a doozy of a mess. I cannot wait to see how they are planning to fix all of this before the series ends. I am completely hooked on Maddie's adventures by now but I love the growth in all the characters by this point. A fabulous addition to an amazing series. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
Well that was a clusterfuck! Tyson’s still in my least favorite spot for the men! And Rafe is still right next to him at the bottom even if they both sort of mad up with her. I think Alice never really was with them as friends, she was just there to keep an eye on them. I don’t think she’s actually dead either, she was the one who pushed Maddie the crown and then Bennett told her to use it, so they were all in on it. And I’m not sure about Winter being gone either. I’m also not sure if Winter was even her father for real, she’s got strong magic, or did. We’ll see if that’s gone for good or not as well as her wolf.
Omg Maddie's story just keeps gets better and better. Unforgivable is full of surprises love, Anger, action, twists and turns.
We get to see the witch part of Maddie in this book as she infiltrates The Day meets her father and an unexpected old friend.
We also learn more about Raf and lex's past before they came to the Academy which helps us to understand why Raf is so obsessed with following rules and How Lex for his scars ,😞
This has been a fantastic series and although I cannot wait for the next book to finish Maddie s story I will be sad to see it come to an end.
Omg I just have to say this author is amazing. Every time I think her books can’t get any better they just do. I think if I was Maddie I would beat Rafe. What the heck!! All I know is it’s going to be explosive when he finally lets loose. No pun intended. And can I just pause for a second and say um... Echo?!? HOT!! I’m so glad the entire gang is back together and now Lex is free to be with Maddie too. Yay!! I. So excited to see what is in store for Maddie and her guys when she goes to fix the mess they’re now in. I need the next book now!
I don’t even know what to think at the moment. The book was such an emotional roller coaster. The story was fast paced and it was so action packed. Maddie is a great character but this time she made some bad choices. I get that it’s part of the story but... I won’t get into the details as I don’t want to give anything away. Just know that it was a fantastic story and I stayed up way past my bedtime on several nights because I didn’t want to put it down. It was worth it.
I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.
Now that we know Clearborn isn't a bad guy, you can really appreciate his dry sense of humor and sarcasm. I freaking love him.
Maddie is sent on a secret mission that no one, not even her men, can know about. She decides to find a way that will prevent them from chasing after her, which results in some pretty hurt feelings and anger from the guys.
By the end of the book, things are still a bit tense, but they're all together again, and they've got their first big team mission where the stakes are high!
Maddie's journey continues and once again she makes some frustratingly annoying choices - BUT this is what I love about this Authors stories, they evoke so much emotion out of me. Reading this series is like a roller coaster ride, anticipation, suspense, excitement, fear & most of all the feeling of wanting to do it all over again. I am so invested in these characters and can't wait for the next book.
This is actually my least favorite installment. Our heroine is in the hands of the witches. We learn some interesting things about Silas' world that will be a fun development later on, but the interactions with Winter seemed anticlimactic.
I did appreciate the chapters from other character's Point of View, but I wished there had been more during the discord. It seemed like their heartbreak was skimmed over.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Maddie spells her pack not to care for her before seeing off on an undercover mission only to find her missing pack mate also undercover. She gives up her wolf, embraces magic and an epic battle takes place. But will her pack ever forgive what she's done? This one ran a little dry for me. Maybe it was because so many of the characters were missing for a large segment of it, maybe because Silas' alter ego was too dark for my tastes. Probably more of a 2.5 stars.
This almost could’ve been the last book, it things just had to go wrong in the big battle scene and now there’s one last big mission to do. I feel like the spell Maddie did was glossed over so it wasn’t actually clear what it really did and it seemed far too easy for the guys to break. I’m looking forward to the last book and I’m hoping this last mission resolves things for Ty so they can all have their HEA.
