Emma Tharp is the USA Today Bestselling Author of The Bluff Harbor Series, Keeping It Casual, Drawn to Dark, and the McLoughlin Brother Series. She was raised in upstate New York. Being an only child, she spent a great deal of time alone, dreaming up characters who would keep her company on long family road trips. Putting her writing on the back burner, she went to college and became a chiropractor. After spending twelve years healing patients, Emma decided—with the help of her amazingly supportive husband—to use the creative side of her brain and let her characters come to the page. If she’s not writing, Emma can be found at the gym, one of her kids sporting events, Starbucks, or a live music event. A perfect day for Emma would be spent at her lake house with her husband, two ginger-haired children, and Vizsla, reading a book and drinking a large cup of coffee (or wine) with music playing in the background.
I have been waiting to read this book and it was superb. I love the family connection between Gisselle and her brothers. I love that Gisselle is very given and refuse to give in to the norm. Luckily for her her brothers and Dean are their to lend a helping hand fun, family and fantasy. As for Dean he is the completely opposite of Gisselle and perfectly fit in with her in everywhere.. They bring out the best in each other. Above all this series was an amazing read full of laughter, love and family bonding.

I liked the premise of this book and enjoyed reading it until I was about 80% in, but I was disappointed in the last 20% or so. It's as though the author spent all this time building the story, then realized that it was time to wrap things up.
Spoiler alert:
I found it unrealistic that the hero has been content to be a ski bum for three years of their relationship, then when he realizes that he needs to step it up if he wants to really be with the heroine, who is a successful, driven woman, he starts a business and makes "more money than he had the previous seven months" in about three weeks. It seemed too quick and convenient.
Gisele is a hard working girl. Working as a divorce lawyer, she's seen too many things to fall in love and stay in a relationship. I loved Gisele, she was a determined, strong character. I loved the fact that the story was told in the first point of view, overall just wonderful story from an author who never disappoints. I've been waiting with anticipation for Giselle's story and boy, I was not disappointed. The entire family dynamic is so well written and I enjoyed every page. Emma did a great job wading through all the topics and developing Giselle as a character. I highly recommend this book and series to anyone looking for a good contemporary romance.

I liked the first two books better than I liked this one. Giselle was a workaholic. She was so career focused and did not want to commit to Dean. Dean was very patient with her.
This is a great story about a workaholic woman who can't see herself with a man that loves her. She doesn't know what she's got until he's gone. I read this 3 book series in less than 24 hours. I loved all 3 books.
Their no strings or commitments week is about to take a sharp left when her "worlds collide baby!!!"
I have been waiting for Giselle's story and boy does she have a great one. Several years ago while on a cruise Giselle met the very handsome, athletic, smart, charming and OOOOOH SO SEXY Dean. Boy what a cruise it turned into as these two have enough smoking hot chemistry between them to set the sheets, mattress and house on fire. They spent the week together on the cruise and when it finished they decided to get together again the next summer for one week of no strings, no emotions, no commitments fun and a whole lot of unbridled sex. They alternate between them on the destination, lodging and activities. So they have ended up in Beverly Hills, Orlando, and this year it is Lake George. Giselle is the middle child of the of the Monroe siblings. She has worked hard and has made partner at her NYC law firm. They take a lot of divorce cases so she is not jaded towards it thinking that she is okay with being alone, having some unattached fun every once in a while and working really hard. She does look forward to spending a week of white-hot sex but also "our talks and his caring ways." Dean is a private ski instructor and works snow patrol in Vermont and in the off season he works odd jobs. He is also a outdoors sports enthusiast with biking, skiing, snow shoeing, and other things. He is willing to sacrifice money and a steady income to follow his passion - "I love the rush of the wind past my face, the swishing sound down the slopes, and the feel of snow under my skis." When they see each other again at Lake George their connection is instantaneous once again. Giselle forgets all about the office and becomes free and energetic. Dean forgets about his life and just concentrates on making Giselle happy as her touch turns him inside out. What Giselle does not know is that this year Dean has an added purpose to their week. In the winter he went on a ski trip to Murren, Switzerland with a friend. This trip was one of his dream places to ski and he had saved for five years to do it. But on the fourth day, with several feet of fresh powder, they skied Lauberhorn and made their own fresh tracks. He was loving it until he lost his footing and started to roll, heading right for a tree and possibly his own death. All he could think about was Giselle and he did not want to die without seeing her again. Afterwards he realized that things have changed for him and he wants to have strings, have a commitment and do it with Giselle. After several days together enjoying everything they go to the Saratoga Horse Racetrack for the day. There Giselle's two worlds collide when the senior and founding partner sees them and invites them to spend the day in their private box with a number of other people. Let's just say that things do not quite go as expected and they end up in their first fight afterwards. Once they get home the fight continues and they sleep apart for the first time ever. The next day is tense with neither knowing how to get back to where they were. That night Dean finally tells Giselle that he loves her and she shuts down and like a scared rabbit runs home to NYC. Dean is left alone while Giselle wavers with her emotions and her heart. Meanwhile Dean uses the time alone at the house to plan a new business that will make him money, allow him to travel and incorporate his love of adventure and adrenaline. Thus Snow & Sun Tours is born. Now he will be able to "fit" into Giselle's world more easily as he will be able to support them. Two months later and the law firm flies to Scottsdale for a week of team building. The entire week is planned and led by Snow & Sun Tours which Giselle does not know but is about to find out when they land. It is going to be an interesting week as Giselle gets to see a different side of Dean, along with his sexy and courteous side. But will it be enough for this single minded lady to open her heart and soul completely to him? Well it does have a great HEA so it seems she is about to learn how to live a more balanced life with the help of Dean. The Epilogue is wonderful as it is four years later and finds everyone, Garrett and Camille, Donovan and Liza, and Giselle and Dean with their children all at Monroe Cay. It is the perfect little wrap up for this series.
What a sensational conclusion to the Monroe family trilogy. I loved each book and loved seeing each couple living their own happily ever after. Gisselle is a divorce lawyer and as many clients as she has represented, it has made her cynical towards love. Dean is a free spirit who loves the outdoors and adventure. The moment Dean and Gisselle meet the chemistry and attraction between these two seemingly polar opposites is off the charts explosive. Yet what happens when feelings get involved and one of them wants more than just a week long fling once a year? Between Us is a captivating must read filled with passion, a no strings attached fling, witty banter, strong family bonds, friendship, a near death experience, and love. Readers familiar with the Monroe family will fall in love all over again with them in this new book from Emma Tharp.

This series ended with Giselle's story. At the beginning you would think that Giselle was kind of superficial but she just a hardworking woman that doesn't think love and commitment is in the works for her until she meets Dean. Her and Dean have been meeting for once a year (week long tryst) for three years having fun and lots of sex with no commitment. They are totally different people but their attraction is insanely HOT. Dean has decided after a life changing incident to be throw in the deal breaker...love. It was bittersweet how the couple dealt with the new changes in their relationship. Their mutual decision to take a chance on love was wonderful. I really love the author's take on family and relationships. The epilogue was nice giving this book 5 stars!

This is the third book in this series. Giselle and Dean agree to spend one week together every year which has no strings, no commitments, no promises, just a vacation together filled with fun adventures and incredible sex. What happens when one of them wants more than the one week that they have together. These two are so hot together and the chemistry just flows on the pages. I understand the worry of one of them that great sex isn't enough to sustain a lasting relationship. Giselle has a great relationship with her brothers and they ask her several questions and that makes her think about her decision that she made regarding Dean.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Dean and Giselle. She's a partner in a New York law firm and specializes in divorce, which causes her to not wanting relationship. She meets Dean on a cruise ship in the Caribbean the chemistry between two is through the roof. They decide to meet once a year for a week and spend it together. Dean is a ski instructor in Vermont and then during the summer he does odd end jobs. But can their lives that are so different he joined as one? When feelings change from Friends with benefits status to possibly more things get a little crazy. In the end of the great HEA.

Giselle and Dean spend one week together every year - no strings, no commitments, no promises, just a vacation together filled with fun adventures and incredible sex. What happens if one of them wants more than a week? What about a lifetime? Oh my, these two are so hot together. I understand the worry of one of them that great sex isn't enough to sustain a lasting relationship. Giselle has terrific relationships with her brothers, who pose questions and make her think about her decisions. The books in this series just keep getting hotter.

That was a very steamy read, full of hot scenes but also filled with full range of emotions. Amazing how two such a different people, at least from the outside, found such a great connection and stayed in an arrangement for years. But sometimes we just want more. More of the connection, to feel more, to be with the loved person longer and in different way. I loved this story. It captured my heart. Their connection was so strong that almost palpable outside the pages. I even cried a little when my heart broke for the stubborn heroine and her one track mind. But I'm happy she finally gave up and opened her heart to new possibilities and gave love a chance.
This is book three in the Monroe series. The agreement is one week a year. They meet, they vacation for one week as a couple and then go their separate ways. This has gone on for three years now. Is it time to change the agreement or cancel it all together? I enjoyed reading Giselle's story and how she fits into the family with her brothers. Enjoy!

4* Giselle & Dean meet the same time & have done for the last 4 years. The chemistry is hot she has a demanding job as a lawyer, hes a ski instructor. When their worlds collide she had to make a decision about them. I enjoyed reading this book and thought it could be true to life facing the same decisions
I have really enjoyed this series and although I did enjoy this book it wasn’t my favourite, I didn’t like Gisele as much as I thought I would, I thought she was a bit self centred, I did however love Dean, I liked the beginning and the ending but not so much the middle, good ending to the series though 😁

I this is a ARC for my honest opinion.I have read a few books of Emma's and they were good. It was a ok read.It was not for me. I would have finished one of her books in one day. I had to make myself finish. You might like it. Read it for yourself, you might like it
I loved Giselle and Dean and that they had a one week a year arrangement that is now leading to so much more. I thought they had great chemistry and I really liked their story.

I don't normally like it when the story starts with them knowing each other but I did enjoy this story. Girl has commitment issues/guy wants a relationship. Didn't know how it was gonna turn out.
