Discover the filmmaking secrets that brought the Order of the Phoenix and the Dark forces of the Wizarding World to life on-screen.
From Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody to Sirius Black and Nymphadora Tonks, members of the Order of the Phoenix play a central role in the Harry Potter films. This volume gives an in-depth look at the secret society and also covers the Death Eaters and other Dark forces that oppose it.
Harry Potter: Film Vault compiles the filmmaking secrets and visionary artistry behind the Harry Potter films into a series of twelve deluxe collectible volumes. Intricately designed and packed with gorgeous concept art and unit photography from the Warner Bros. archive, each volume in the series gives fans striking insights about bringing the Wizarding World to the big screen.
Included in each book is a collectible art print, making this series a must-have for all Harry Potter fans and collectors everywhere.
Terrible. Not only is this series a blatant cash grab, reusing the same info and visuals over again which can be found in better books, the absence of key characters cannot be forgiven. This is a film based book so I have only included characters who were predominant in the movies.
The Order of the Phoenix is missing: *Albus Dumbledore (mentioned in the blurb but does not get his own spread. That's okay, he was only the group's founder after all) *Remus Lupin! (again, only mentioned) *SEVERUS SNAPE! (come now this is getting ridiculous) *Minerva McGonagall *Rubeus Hagrid *Peter Pettigrew *Alastor Moody
None of these key characters get their own spread. Pettigrew thankfully gets one in the Death Eater section, but considering the first part has been separated into both old and new Order members, you'd think they would be featured.
Death Eaters missing: *Wait for it.... SEVERUS SNAPE! *Barty Crouch Jr. *Fenrir Greyback *Draco Malfoy
The book is visually stunning but the lack of effort is abhorrent.
The Order of the Phoenix is a secretsociety formed by Albus Dumbledore to oppose Lord Voldemort and his followers. Packed with stunning concept art and behind-the-scenes photography, and featuring insights from the filmmakers, this volume gives an in-depth look at the opposing forces, as seen in the Harry Potter films.
A nice addition to a Harry Potter library, this book focuses on many of the second-tier characters as seen in the films. There are great images and good biographical information on members of the Order and Death Eaters.
I think I definitely need to take my little break from reading.
Coming back to reading and finishing this book up was very relaxing. Also loves finally getting to read about some of my lesser favorite characters and how they came about design wise.
