I love fantasy, adventure, and magic. More than that, I adore my readers.

My books are written to entertain -- fantasy adventures filled with compelling characters, spectacular magic, thrilling action, constant intrigue, and a sense of discovery. I equate them to the "Marvel Movie" version of fiction, intended to be a fun escape.

I would love to have you join me and my quirky characters for one outrageous adventure after another. With over a million published words, my author journey has just begun.

Best wishes,
Jeff

Things are coming together nicely now.

I am invested in the characters and I am hoping they continue to develop over the remaining two books of this series.

Straight on to read book 5.

With Objects of Power we reach the midpoint of The Fate of Wizardoms tale.
Additional players enter the game, the stakes rise and numerous truths shall be exposed.

The Seers' prophecy foretold the Dark Lord's rise and sent our motley group of heroes on a desperate quest for magical relics.
Led by cryptic passages from a dark prophecy, they set off on two separate quests.

One expedition leads to the Enchanter's Isle, rumored to hide a mysterious object known as the Band of Amalgamation. The other involves the Arc of Radiance, a sacred object protected by a lost race of elves.

But the clock is ticking. With two wizard lords dead, a shift in the balance of magic occurred and dark creatures of legends now walk the land. And that is not all. In The Fractured Lands, the darkspawn invasion has already began, as The Dark Lord seeks to choke all light from the world.

Caught at the fulcrum point of destiny, every single one of our heroes has to wonder for what purpose their group has been brought together and what exactly destiny has planned for them. Bizarre events occur wherever they go, while wizard lords seem to drop like flies around them. And all the while, they have no clue where the future leads, or what exactly they're supposed to do in the long run.

The characters keep on growing. And if you haven't already fallen in love with them by now, you will in this installment.

Princess Narine has grown so much. With each passing day she seems more confident, growing into a leader others respect.

Jace, from the arrogant thief he has once been, has turned into a rock for the others, standing strong and risking his life to save them.

Rawk, though seemingly afraid of everything around him, rises against danger, especially when it threatens his best friend Rhoa.

Adyn is downright awesome, just as Rhoa, while Brogan and Blythe are slowly becoming my favorite couple here.

And don't let me forget Priella. She is one player I did not see coming.
I am stronger than the wind, stronger than a hurricane. I am the storm to end all storms.
I wonder where her hunger for power will lead?

Told in the same wonderful prose and just as fast-paced as it's predecessors, Objects of Power is even more gripping and engaging. I said it in my last review and will say it again: This series gets better and better with each book!

While Temple of the Oracle was a little slower paced at times, this book is non-stop edge-of-the-seat action from cover to cover.

For the first time in many years, the famous Jerrell 'Jace' Landish is worried he might fail. Adyn may have to make an unbelievable sacrifice and Rhoa... well, Rhoa's heart will be burdened by secrets of the past. But it will also soar with the thrill of an experience thousand times more spectacular than performing on the trapeze. She'll whoop and smile so hard her face will hurt. But damn! I would have done the same in her place!

Heartbreaking at times and uplifting at others, this riveting tale has all the marks of a fabulous read. Wonderful wordbuilding, an ingenious magic system, beautifully crafted characters, great mystery and intrigue, witty banter and fun filled adventure, as well as dash of romance.
The Fate of Wizardoms is an engaging epic fantasy series with something for every single reader out there.

There is something about Jeffrey L. Kohanek's writing that makes you forget the world around you, and get lost within the pages of his tale.
You don't believe me?
Go ahead and give his books a try.
I guarantee you won't regret it.

Happy reading Bookdragons!

After I posted a critical review of book 1 in this series, the author asked me to read at least through book 4, which he said was his favorite. I have now done so.

I appreciated books 2 and 4 more than 1 and 3, but I'm still far from enamored of the series. I might still read the last two books eventually just to see the story play out.

I enjoyed this one! A lot happens in this book, and while the fast pace of this series in general is well executed, at times it almost feels like the action happens just a little too quick. I do like the author's willingness to eliminate characters that are seemingly impossible to kill, but I don't think we get given enough time with these characters or enough extended background on them, for their unexpected deaths to really have a more shocking effect.

The protagonists are split into two groups in this one. Early on there's a pretty important (although not that surprising given the previous books) 'revelation' about a protagonist that leads to an even bigger mystery. For the most part, we see the attempts of the protagonists to obtain two 'objects of power', but they are completely unsure what they are, what their purpose is or what they even look like. They are just following some vague prophecies told by an oracle.

The characters continue to be very likeable. They may not be overly complex or unique, but they all get progressively built up nicely over the series and I grew to like them.

I've read a fair few warnings about self published novels/series on kindle unlimited but I have to say for the first self published series I've ever read, Fate of Wizardoms really holds its own pretty well. It's not perfect (and I don't think it aims to be, it feels like it aims to just be a fun ride for the reader), but for a fast paced fun read these are really nice books.

Again, looking forward to seeing where the story goes in the last 2 novels.

My favorite book of the series! It's finally coming together and things are making sense and I absolutely LOVE where it's going. Why do I have to wait for the next one 😭 It's driving by me crazy! But at the same time I never want to leave this world 😆 It's the impossible cycle.

This series just keeps getting better and better. Our heroes and heroines search for new objects of power. The action packed opening of this book makes for quite a Rollercoaster ride. I love how this author uses humor in his stories. I highly recommend this book and series!

Objects of Power by Jeffrey L. Kohanek is Book 4 in the Fate of Wizardoms series. Our heroes get split up into two groups. Jace finds himself in a heap of trouble. Has his luck finally run out? Meanwhile, Roah, Blythe, and Adyn get to shine in their darkest moments. I love it when the dragon makes an appearance. There's also a jaw-dropping reveal that might leave you with more questions than answers.

This series has classic fantasy elements, but the adventures and intrigue keep it unpredictable. The pacing is good throughout. I can't wait to find out what happens next!

I listened to the audiobook. Travis Baldree does an excellent job narrating the voices of all the different characters. I received an Audible code from the author. This is my honest and voluntary review.

The main characters are set on a quest to find objects that are magic that could save the world. Those objects change the characters who wield them too. Each book in the series is better than the last.

Excellent!!

Although details and description are often light, the story is thrilling and action packed. If you like terry goodkind, this one probably is not for you , but if you’re a bit of an old school Piers Anthony then this is pretty darn awesome ;)

Damn this series just gets better and better and more hilarious as it goes on. The worldbuilding, plot and setting is excellent, the magic weilding used by the Wizardlords is all down to the devotion and prayers of the people they rule and the more devotion they receive, the more powerful they become. But while the Wizardlords are playing God's and vying to out do one another, the Darklord and his darkspawn are reeking havoc across the wizardoms. After our band of misfits were told by the seers that they hold the key to defeating the darklord, they split up and set out to find the magical devices that can help them, but running into dangers and their enemies they've being running from. I absolutely love this series, it has it all, Dragons, Elves, Dwarfs, giant scorpions and the action and fighting is just epic. Travis Baldree's narration is excellent, highly recommend....😁🐲🦂💥

The quest continues, this time with our heroes split into two teams, each with their own targets - or Objects of Power - to acquire. The journey is all according to the prophecies; the seers' words gradually turn to the truth as the tale unfolds. And let me tell you, it is done most expertly, weaving an intricate web of political as well as magical revolutions!

In this instalment, you get to see how the world is changing before your very eyes, and how our cast of misfits attempt to survive and adapt accordingly. With the additions of their own Objects of Power, they are obligated to learn (often the hard way) how to wield forces normally beyond their control. This is an exciting, fast-paced, action-packed, and downright awesome part of the series, setting up even more tension for the ending as (I believe) it will start unfolding from the next book onwards. There is an epic showdown on the horizon - I can taste it!!

So, what else is good in this book? Well, let me tell you - everything! The characters keep their previously established level of hilarity, banter, depth, spirit, and warmth. Every single one has a place in this story, and I thoroughly enjoy following along on their individual journeys.

I won't pretend like the romance part didn't help get me more invested. I'm a romantic at heart, so yes, it does sway me perhaps a little more than it should. But regardless, the characters are all well-developed and fleshed-out, no Mary Sues/Stues in sight, and they are distinct, likeable (loveable, even) and relatable! Everything I want in characters!

As to the story? The twists! The turns! One, in particular, I did not see coming, and I'm intrigued to see where this is going.

Trust me when I say: the Fate of Wizardoms is at hand, and I will most definitely come along for the ride and see this to the very end!

This series just keeps improving. Jace is still my favorite character! The war is about to start all hell will be unleashed and I am here for all of it!

Priella was not the villain I was expecting, but I love her ruthlessness. These poor wizard lords are dropping like flies. Bring on book 5

This series keeps getting more and more intricate, its plots are full of twists and turns and battles are fought through sword and sorcery. Our band of heroes leave the place of the seers to venture on the quests set out before them and in order to do this they had to split up into two groups, thus we have the group of Rhoa, Rawk, Algoron, Brogan and Blythe and the other of Jace, Narine, Adyn and Hadnoddon both in search of more objects of power to help them stop the dark lord from taking over their world. A world which was now facing an imbalance of magic, seeing the return of creatures of legend and the darkspawn stalking the eight wizardoms which the seer said was all due to Urvadan, the dark lord setting their entire world at risk. However wherever our bands of heroes ventured trouble was sure to follow, the biggest one being the deaths of the high wizards who were falling like flies. Taking advantage of their deaths we see Lord Thurvin taking over the devotions of other wizardoms and having them directed to his own, thus becoming a very strong threat to those High Wizards remaining. His ambition knew no bounds, he had sent out his minions now calling themselves the Fists of Farrow under the leadership of Despaldi, Jace’s thorn in the side, now stronger then ever as he had imbued them with strong magical powers to bring down those high wizards who would not succumb to him. Obviously their paths crossed and chaos ensued. Also Priella getting stronger through her people’s prayers being now directed to her through the tower of devotion sets out to confront Thurvin. Two new objects of power are claimed, thus our bands of heroes have fulfilled their quests whilst the golden forest Silvaurum of the cultivator elves is left to die and they move back to their old home close to the seers, and 5 high wizards have fallen. Can our band of heroes defeat the dark lord? Hopefully we will find out in our next thrilling book in this fast paced, full of action, humor, romance and courage series which I personally cannot get enough of.

This volume of the Fate of Wizardoms series made me laugh so much! Jace gets himself into the most hilarious situations. I really enjoyed how this author manages to make an impossible gladiatorial combat sequence funny. That really takes skills.

The main squad from the previous volumes has been split into two groups for this volume, which made things very interesting and kept the storyline moving forward really well. The interludes with other perspectives worked much better for me in this volume, and I'm really enjoying how everything is coming together now. The complexities of the plot are really adding a lot to the story.

I'm loving how this author manages to blend the vibes of Lies of Locke Lamora, A Song of Ice and Fire and the more epic, classic good vs evil of Lord of the Rings. This author definitely pulls off the combination and it's turning into a compelling adventure.

Wizardoms: Objects of Power (Fate of Wizardoms Book 4). my tenth read from author Jeffrey L. Kohanek. Picks up seamlessly from the end of Temple of the Oracle (Fate of Wizardoms, #3). The tension & suspense continue to ratchet up throughout the book’s length. 10-hrs 6-minutes/357-pages but reads even longer with the attention to detail written into the story. Kohanek’s fantasy worlds have become one of my favorite fantasy reads. AS always I was impressed and enjoyed the vocal variety & inflections of narrator Travis Baldree. I look forward to reading Wizardoms: Rise of a Wizard Queen (Fate of Wizardoms Book 5) just as soon as I get it. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title within the series set box.

As the title implies, our intrepid band of misfits have been given the mission of saving the world from the dark lord, and to achieve this task, they need to find a couple more sacred objects.

They have split up, and therefore, we are entertained by two different journeys, both of which have their life-threatening aspects. As always, there are the other issues of the claim for power for those wizards that want to be a God.

This series starts off with a bang, and by the time you get to this book it’s going strong. You can’t help but fall a little bit in love with the characters and the world. Everything keeps getting better. You are in the middle of all the action and in some cases in their heads. Grab a drink and a snack and get ready for a real adventure of the mind.

Mr Kohanek does it again. A perfect blend of action, adventure, fantasy, and humour to weave an amazing tale that hooks you in from the start and keeps you engaged until the very end. Really enjoyed this book , and am looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds in the next book!

Continuing this intriguing series with another fantastic book. The characters are so great and familiar now, and the story moves along at a good pace. I love that the humor is still so prominent in this book (without the whole story being goofy; mostly witty humor). Nothing wrong with a goofy story, but I love when epic fantasy makes me laugh.
