I thought the premise sounded fun and decided to give this a try, but it wasn't as funny as I was hoping it'd be.
The female lead is Tian Qi. She disguises herself as a palace eunuch to get revenge for her family, and in the process ends up catching the emperor's attention. I liked her character as she's smart and has the ability to quickly adjust to the situation and can act shamelessly to get herself out of trouble. For some reason, she keeps ending up as the scapegoat in other people's plans even though she's innocent, so it was fun to see how she keeps worming her way out of tricky situations. Plus she's so naive about adult matters that it was amusing, like when she thought it was normal for the emperor to ask his eunuchs (including herself) to jerk him off XP
I didn't particularly care for Ji Heng, the emperor and male lead. He spends a significant part of the book agonizing over the fact that he's becoming a cut sleeve and really struggles over his growing desire for Tian Qi. I understand where the feelings come from, but it got old after a while, especially after he kept repeating over and over that he was becoming a pervert but still wants to walk the path of a pervert even though it's extremely painful for him. He keeps wishing for Tian Qi to be a female and creepily took off her pants while she was sleeping next to him to finally confirm her gender. What a weirdo.
In general, there's not much plotting or political intrigue happening in this book, just a bit in the middle and end as Tian Qi tries to exact her revenge on the people who harmed her family. The story mostly follows the day to day of the FL as she does her eunuch duties, meets her friends for food and drinks, manages the second hand goods shop, etc. The story got boring near the end when we find out the truth behind the FL's past and how it ties into their relationship. I wasn't invested in this part of the story at all and was frustrated by their lack of communication, which of course lead to some stupid misunderstandings.
Translations for the story were split up between multiple groups, and some of them were painful to read because of bad grammar and spelling errors.
Here are two quotes that serve as good examples for what I mentioned above:

Known by his people for having a reputation to hate eunuchs (for a reason you'll read about in the book), Ji Heng is intrigued by Tian Qi. For some reason, this feminine looking eunuch keeps bringing new trouble at his doorstep, yet instead of pushing him away, Ji Heng appoints him to serve in the imperial palace.
Days pass by in this eunuch's company, who seems to have charmed the emperor's young son, his mother - the empress dowager as well as his younger brother. The emperor is no exception, and starts having wet dreams about this beautiful eunuch.
Ji Heng finally makes up his mind to love Tian Qi wholeheartedly, regardless of his shy, little pervert's gender when he discovers a shocking revelation.
