I lost Earth, but I gained love… When I left Earth to work with the Wynmerian race, I always expected to return. I’d heard stories of men who’d fallen to the charms of these gorgeous aliens, but I knew that couldn’t happen to me. I was different… right? It doesn’t take long after I meet Andax, Commander of the S.S. Trothor, to start to question everything… and give him everything.
It was quick. It was rushed. The formatting made me want to scream. There were SNIPS of good world building. Little pieces that made me think it would be more than just the bare bones obvious. But it wasnt. The best part of the book was that little bit that was like "any questions?" . Sadly even that was pushing it.
This is actually like 2 or maybe 3 books. I honestly stopped reading during the story with the hooker. I ACTUALLY perked up at the beginning of that story because even though I figured it was an alien omega Pretty Woman it was well written.
Bottom line: 3 stars because even though it was kinda generic and way way WAY too rushed there were tiny peaks of good world building that I wish I had a satisfying story to go with.
Overall it was an okay book, I just feel like it didn't really add much to the "Aliens need humans to reproduce" trope. [Spoilers] I thought it was going to with the crash in the Wilds of the planet, but when I saw how much was left in the book, it was easy to see that this event was just a blip in the story. There were also quite a few throwaway events that honestly did nothing to enhance the overall story, like the girlfriend who was obviously destined to fail. Like you could tell from the beginning that the relationship would end sooner rather than later. All in all, it felt like an hour wasted for me...
This book is short and almost like a .5 versus 1st book. We meet our main characters get and idea of the conflict we'll be seeing. However, some of the verbiage used is a tad cheesy and we never get both POV. I'm hoping the next one being longer will work out some of these kinks and I'm looking forward to reading it.
This book was amazing! Short and a bit of a cliffy, but it was well written and had immense world-building going on. From the reviews, I was expecting something barely put together. The UST was off the charts and smoking hot, for as short as it lasted. I’m in, I’m so in….
I didt know what to make of this book. But was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed it. I wish it had more story or rather background information to it. But it was well edited and written. I enjoyed this a lot. On to book two now
