This was a great book !

Loved the characters + the storytelling !

Short but entertaining
Austin has loved Cheyenne since the started before they started kindergarten. They felt the love more acutely as they grew older. He believs that she is his mate but didn't get the chance to find out for sure because she died in a car accident.
At age fourty he decides that he has pined enough and needs to move on. He signs up to mate.com and is matched. The match is none other that Cheyenne. But how can that be?
Read to find out why she is alive and what happened. This is an entertaining short read. I will be reading about his other brothers too.

A great start to what is going to be another fantastic series on Fate Mountain! I was super excited to find this book. Austin and Cheyenne met when they were 5 years old and were inseparable until tragedy struck when they were 16. Both signed up on Mate.com and we're shocked to see they were a 100% match. They have some obstacles to overcome before they get their happily ever after but fate has a way of working everything out in the end.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Cheyenne Bailey and Austin Wilde. Austin has spent the last 20 years pinning and missing what he believes was his mate. They met as children and fell in love. When she was 16 Austin was told she was killed in a car crash. Though he knows he is the alpha of his family and their little pack he knows he should try and find another mate his heart just doesn't want to. He finally gives in though and signs up for mate.com just so he can tell his brothers he did it. He can't believe his eyes though when he finds his 100% match he mate. Cheyenne is in a boring dead end job but every-time she looks for something else she just finds more of the same. She wants more for her life but doesn't know how to go about doing it. After another disastrous date her best friend tells her to sign up for mate.com. She is sure her family won't be happy but at 40 she should get the chance to live her own life. She knows about mates from her first love Austin she just can't believe he would still be out there available for her. When she is 100% matched with Austin she can't believe it. Will this be the beginning of their HEA or will the lies from the past make sure that a future is impossible?
This is another hit out of the park by this author. In this book we are introduced to all the Wilde boys and all of them are going to take us on a wild ride. This story does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for an other readers. I will say this book will have you on the edge of your seat from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

ELDER WOLF is the first book in the Wilde Brothers Ranch series. Each is expected to be a stand-alone paranormal romance, but I suspect you’ll want to read them in the order of release, because…. sisters-in-law.
Any time I’m in a reading slump, I want a book from Scarlett Grove. Her all-the-feels stories put me back into the romantic mood that I want and crave. Add in that this is the first in a new series set on Fate Mountain and I was a goner from page one.

His life would be called complete if not for having lost his human mate in a car accident, some two decades ago according to her family . Her ne was Cheyenne and he just cannot forget her. His brothers convince him to apply on a dating app where he will find his mate. He does and gets the surprise of his life. The two are about to meet.
The author has created a masterful story about the shifter world and the cruelty of certain humans motivated by hate, amongst them. In this very well written plot, the story grips the reader from the start and the book is very hard to put down. 5 Stars and I highly recommend this book.

Pack alpha, rancher Austin Wilde decides it’s time to move on from his childhood sweetheart’s death 25 years ago and start a family. Corporate exec Cheyenne Bailey was never happier than her youth with Austin, a family tragedy tore them apart. Maybe at nearly 40 she needs to live again. Austin and Cheyenne were in the throes of young love.
Both sad, both lonely, both pining for the romance they had, both living the lives they’d chosen and yet…both paths lead them to the same dating app where Austin and Cheyenne are shocked to see each other listed as their perfect match! The ill-fortune that drove them apart before recklessly tries again determined this mating will fail.
This new to me author gave an adequate by the number modern tale of shifter ranchers in a too pat ending though having near middle-aged lovers was a plus. Unfortunately, the awkwardly stiff leads conflict felt too forced and too easily resolved to encourage reader to cheers for their romance.

Love! Love! Love! I have yet to be disappointed by Ms. Grove. She continually gives us spectacular stories to read, introducing us to numerous and exciting characters, making us wish shifters truly did exist. I love the Wilde Brothers Ranch series so far and am excited to read the stories of each of the brothers. In this, the first of the series, we discover Austin and Cheyenne, best friends throughout their childhoods, only to be ripped apart by hurting and hurtful humans, determined to eliminate all shifters. But Fate has decided to step in and finally right the wrongs that occurred over twenty five years ago.
A beautiful tale of lost and found love, complete with the struggles associated with the hatred of those who've been misguided. Be prepared to be swept away by this very well written story.

Great start to new series with mate.com
I really enjoyed this story. Cheyenne is feeling like life passed her by. Austin is missing his childhood sweetheart, who he is sure was his mate and had died long ago. When he joins mate.com he finds she is still alive! This is a sweet second chance at love story. There is some tension as her family hates all shifters. Seeing them fall back on love was very sweet. The ending seemed to happen a bit too abruptly, but that was my only issue. The pace is fast, the tone is hopeful and the storyline is character oriented with some action and some steamy scenes. The characters are vibrant and endearing. I can't wait to see which brother will be next. There are 6 more to go! Try this if you like shifter romances with great characters, good family values, and a storyline that will encompass all the brothers. Enjoy!

I liked reading this book. Can't wait to read about the other brother's.

What a great second chance romance. Cheyanne and Austin were teen lovers but her father dragged her and her three brothers away from town when their mother was killed in an airport bombing by hyenas. Austin and his brothers are wolf shifters which was reason enough for her father to leave. He told the town that Cheyanne had been killed in a car accident so nobody would query it. Austin has always pined for her and never found anyone else to love. He was persuaded by his brothers to join Mate.com to find someone and Cheyanne in desperation did the same twenty five years later. They matched so she went back to see if they had any chance of being together. This story is a must-read for second chance lovers.

Twenty-five years later Austin decides it's time to move on and joins Mate.com, much to his surprise he has a 100% match with a woman he thought was dead.
Sexy and sweet characters separated by lies, and prejudice meet again to find that time and distance didn't lessen the love they had for one another. Quick, and romantic read with an interesting twist. Fantastic!

Austin Wilde had kept his romantic life on hold unable to move on and yearning for a past that won’t come back. When his younger brother suggested Mate.com it seemed that enough was enough and that push was what he needed. Cheyenne Bailey felt amiss, longing for what she was afraid, she would never have. But, never say never in Fate Rock. The past was going to meet the present. Lovely and entertaining story with perseverance, deep feelings and where hope was not totally lost. Some action, a feud, deceit, suspense, romance and passion. Liked this first book with wolf shifters brothers.

Its a book that one is going to love right from the start, a second change love if you will. But the love didnt die as they thought and it is rekindled when Austin goes on the mate.com website, only to discover that his one and only love was still alive. They have to find out why Austin was told she was dead. And why Cheyanne was told that Austin had mated to another. Together these two start again but its her brothers and her father that are threating their love once more.
A really lovely book that is worthwhile reading. Scarlett really is a great author. 5 stars

A second chance at love. Austin thought his childhood love died when he was young. Turns out her family lied to everyone when they moved out of town after their mother was killed by shifters. Cheyenne and Austin are sweet together. Can they have a happy ever after when her family hates shifters? Nice start to a new series. No cliffhanger and hea.

Austin oldest of the 7 brothers has been grieving since he was 16 for 25 years. Unbelievable someone would take a death to keep love apart. Drama and Discovery in this story. V1, S2

Emotional, funny, interesting
I found this storyline to be funny, emotional, and interesting. I loved hoe the author wrote in the different dynamics between human and shifters families. I found the reason between Austin and Cheyenne losing contact really sad, but happy how they came back together. Really loved how Cheyenne helped to heal her 3 brothers hearts (impressed with this). Recommended for mature readers due to content.

Decent read.
Austin has believed his best friend and fated mate was dead for the last 25 years.
Cheyenne was taken from the only person she ever loved by her grieving, angry father...after the death of her mother by the local hyena pack.
Both joined the shifters dating site and received the shock of finding the other.
I recommend this read for the most part. The ending is a bit too slick for me...

Excellent, Exciting and Absolutely Amazing. I loved this book . It is definitely exciting and full of surprises. The characters are incredibly sexy and definitely deserves more than 5 stars . It's a great start to a new series and I am extremely excited for the next book. I was given this book for a honest review.

3.5 stars for this one. Pretty quick second chance, mature romance. I liked Austin and Cheyenne together. They didn't wait around and there was really no drama in the relationship. Her family were pretty silly and it was quickly proven. Heat level was 🔥🔥. Would recommend for fans of shifters, insta-love.

They never got over each other. Lies kept them apart. Now, they get a second chance at love.
I liked the story of these two people who belonged together but were kept apart by lies from her family. They really did feel right for each other and deserved their happy ending.

Not to thrilling
I really wanted to like Austin and Cheyenne 's story, but it was disjointed for me. There was a disconnect. The brothers were barely included. Austin was the alpha, but unfortunately he appeared weak. Then she came across as being stronger than him. I will read the next story, hoping it will redeem the start of this series.
