The finale. The last ride. Part two of this roller coaster left everyone on the edge of their seats. Everyone wants to know what Huncho will do. Will he go back home to get Askiya and bring her to Slim, to save his little sister's life? In a situation like this, who do you choose? Most will automatically say that you choose your flesh and blood. The thing is, his own flesh and blood hasn’t been in the picture for the past few years. What Huncho and Askiya share is real. Two people who are deeply in love, so we can only hope that whatever move Huncho makes is his best move.
Then, there’s the beautiful, black, married couple, Major and Antoinette. The world is rooting for them to get it right. Is it too late? Will Antoinette survive the car crash? Before the crash happened, they both said some that they can’t take back, so hopefully, they are given a second chance to finally get their marriage right. The finale will take you on a high speed, emotional roller coaster. This book will make you laugh, cry, scream, jump up and down, and most of all, have you glued to the edge of your seat.
Loved Huncho and Sky. He didn’t give not one fcks about her pass and dealt with anyone who had something to say about it. Bird is a trashass mother. Brielle needs a spin-off. Sky being the one to take Slim out was well deserved. Nette and Major was too cute.
Not sure if I liked the ending. Imma need one of Diamond Johnson's patented family Christmas books in order to to wrap up a few loose ends. Still worth the cost.
I wished it could of ended better for the siblings in the story. I love that the have great friends around them but at least brielle could have came around. But slim could of stay in vegas living la Vidal loca. I love how diamond let askyia put the paws of Marley and jiadore. As usual a great ending to great story.
I had this book in my queue several times and returned it several times. I read the first chapter once and was like, hell naw. Can't do, not my type. But it just kept calling me like I was Pookie from New Jack City. After months of dodging and the publishing debacle that this and other authors are going thru, I finally decided to put it back in my queue. I'm trying to clean my TBR list y'all. That sucker is 200 hundred plus long. Anyway, the first book was good but the second and third book? DID ME IN!!! Very rarely do I leave reviews. I only leave them if the book is beyond ridiculous and the author should find something else to do, for ARCS OR if the book touches me. This book touches real emotions in me. I had ALL the feels. I cried y'all. Real tears, cried. All I wanted was for Sky to catch a break. Outside of the prostitution, I related too much to this book. The thing is, this is really someone's story. This is a story of redemption and restoration. I really didn't want it to end. Honcho was an absolute dream. Cortez and Winter, Major and Nette, support system out of this world. True friendships! I could read these characters over and over. Definitely going on my faves list. There were minimal grammatical issues and definitely not enough to take away from the purpose. This is a young author and I can honestly say, I am proud! Keep up the great work!
This book was a little bit of a struggle... I liked the storyline But all the other things was a major distraction and really pulled away from this book... Some of the things that I had problems with is the constant mix up of characters names... Then there was the always describing what everyone was wearing to the point that it was a bit excessive... Not sure if it was for fluffing... But to me it was just way to much because it was in almost every single scene... Also there was a lot of over detailing about different things like if someone is taking their pants off... instead of just saying they took their pants off it says they took the left leg out of the pants and then the right leg... Agai just way to much...Definitely pulled away from the storyline for me...Then the age of the characters was off... Especially with Byrd and the age of her daughters... how is Byrd 38, she got pregnant with Sky when she was 20... And now Sky is 26... Soooo that would mean that Byrd had her at the age 12 which is not true... So yes the age is way off Because if Sky is 26 and her mother is 20 years older then her then Byrd should be 46 not 38... As I said just a lot of distractions and unnecessary information in this book... I haven't read many books by this author...This was my first series by her... I can tell this author has some skills so I will check out some other books by her... At least Sky was able to gain some strength and find her happiness... I mean she did have to keep putting up with these jealous messy women and her shady sister and her crazy ex pimp... But she proved how strong she was in the end... She had an amazing man... Huncho was so good to and for Sky and Skyler... I mean he came in and changed their whole world around for the better... Sky never had to second guess or worry about him cheating... Major and his wife had to deal with this crazy fan that almost killed Antoinette not once but twice... Then traumatized the kids and put their life in danger as well... This marriage had a few bumps in the road as many marriages do... But as always because they both loved eachother and were willing to fight together to keep their family together... They came put on top... I could not believe the way these women were going out of their way to try and hurt Sky just to try and get Huncho's attention... but no matter what they did this man stood by his womans side and then got to the bottom of it all... I mean why be so desperate for a man that doesn't want you or even look at you like that...Then in the end you look dumb... And Slim... It was so crazy how desperate he was to be with Sky... I am like see if you would have treated her better than maybe she would have stayed around... Then for him to do this to try and get back at her... Now look at what has happened... He succeeded and failed at the same time... Besides Slim and his no good preying self... I absolutely loved that these men in this book were real men and absolutely loved their women and they were not out here cheating and bringing any drama to their door steps... Now that is a true man... I also love that they were making legal money and not just selling drugs... The author actually made them a little hood but also men with a good head on their shoulders and I appreciate that...
The drama continued for real. Everyone definitely need a vacation after everything they went through. Sky got that glow up that I was rooting for. She always had it in her but she needed to get out of that situation to see it. Huncho definitely that nigha for real. He was definitely a real one in all aspects of the word. He knew Sky and everything about her and didn't let nothing take his live away from her. Marley and J'Doire got what they deserved for real. Slim really took the cake in this one by changing that appearance but I am glad my girl bossed up. Love Major and Nette for real and how they handle everything once stuff hit the fan. I just shake my head at Brielle because she do stuff to Sky and play the victim for real. I can see how Sky maybe forced going to college on her but instead of just saying that she had to go a different way and blame Sky for her own mishaps. Byrds was a bird for real. Overall really good series and I am glad to see Diamond back on Amazon!!!
Now although it was good and all, two things annoyed me in this finale: 1) the fact that Major didn't take this stalker as serious as he should be with him being this popular, extreme popular guy where he could have taken more measure to ensure that what happened to Antoinette and Mohamed, didn't happened and not one had to say "would have, could have, should have"... And 2) man Huncho you dropped the ball there because not once but twice not only Slim showed you what he is capable of, but others told you that you needed to handle this before it got out of hands and then boom, your little princess is gone and for what? You are as wealthy as Major yet as stupid because come on, you really think that Sim was going down like that? I thought this was good and final though because everyone got what they deserved, Slim, Arielle, Allen and Byrd and man I can't wait for karma to visit Brielle, because baby, this child right here is just messed up. Skylar is so cute and Mohammed is bae..... Very good job!
The title of the book didn’t really fit due to it being various storylines. I was Teri f to follow the main characters story which was good but I was distracted but the irrelevant chapters involving the best friend who had a crazy stalker. That had nothing at all to do with what the book was about. She could have wrote a whole separate book about those people. The characters ages didn’t match up for example the mom said she had Sky at 20 and in present day states that she was 38 and Sky was 25. At times the author would mix up the names of the characters. Overall it was an pretty good book but the author could have wrote 2 more books just from the irrelevant characters that she put in this book. I did like that one of the main characters wasn’t the typical drug dealer and had a legit business.
Great ending to this series. Huncho and Sky went through some things to have their happiness, but he made sure they were happy. Sky prayed daily to be able to kill Slim and she eventually got her wish. Although it cost her tragedy, she didn't have to live her life on edge worrying about him again. Major and Nette went through a tough time with their family after they had to kill their stalker, but it was worth it because she would have killed his wife. I would definitely like to read more on Brielle's ungrateful behind to see if she ever gets her life together. Job well done!
Wowwwwwwwww what a ending. Diamond is a beast with her writing skills and I loved every minute of it. I would say I was really hurt by Sky losing one of the babies but like everyone said she had to look on the bright side she didn't lose all of them. I swear I wish Huncho could have gotten Slim sooner before he did what he did. Huncho was all man and I loved that about him because he didn't let Sky pass determined how he loved her, that's what you called a REAL MAN. Little Miss Skylar was something else and I loved her. Can't wait to see what else Diamond has up her sleeves for us
I had stopped writing reviews because the new authors screenshot your personal opinions and call you a hater but this review has no hate involved .. I am a fan of most of this authors work but this book ummm back no I found myself skipping pages and because the book was 400 pgs it seemed endless so I just stopped reading it all together it not only repeated stuff from book 1 & 2 but from chapter to chapter was filled with repetitive dialog then the main characters became shallow boring and unlikable I hope the next series start and end Strong because this book just did nothing for the series
This love story was one for the books. Sky & Huncho mase through everything thrown their way and still came out on top. The star of the book was Skylar. She was the most precious thing in this series. That evil ass Slim got what he deserved. As for Brielle she’s the type of sister you don’t need. Every step of the way she was hating from the sidelines. I was waiting for her to finally make her move on Huncho. And was lowkey hoping Sky whooped her ass for it. I’m glad Nette and Major made it through the storm. Mohammed was my second star of the book next to Skylar.
Excellent writing which I’m not surprised. Ms. Johnson is a fabulous writer and I always enjoy her books. I enjoyed this series, one of the best I’ve read. Being quarantine for the Coronavirus, I was looking for a good read and I found it. I enjoyed how Huncho was judged by his appearance by an so called upscale black woman but he was nothing like he looked and how when he wasn’t ready to settle down he respected the lady for not putting up with him and knowing her worth. Not to mention how his friends didn’t cheat on their wives and encourage him to do the same. EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT and again EXCELLENT
Honeyyyyyy lol this was a story. First and foremost Big Huncho is the G.O.A.T. I’m so happy that he was able to not only save Sky but love her so purely. They relationship made my heart smile. Askiya what a beautiful soul. That girl had literally been through hell and I’m so happy that her soul got the peace it truly deserved. Slim was beyond triflin and just a all around psycho, who got what he deserved. Brielle was just stupid and young and wasn’t looking to be a better person or sister smh. This was my first time reading from this author so very well done Diamond!
This final book was so good!! I never thought Slim would have it in him to stoop so low, but why not her own sister did. Brielle is the poster child for looking for love in all the wrong places. Sometimes you gotta just let them go, family included because there was nothing else she could do for Brielle and nothing else he could do for his sister. This clearly shows how you can love someone if they let you. Good story and even better ending.
Really enjoyed this series👏👏 It showed how damaged a person can be and get into without the love and presence of their mom. Sky was a jewel and I am glad she was freed by Honcho. He was definitely bae😍😘 . I applaud any man who.can see through all Sky's faults and past to see and provide what she needed. Byrd was trash😡 . she really messed those girls up all over a man. All I can saw is poor Brielle. She is sooo misguided. Nette and her hubby were #couplegoals. I loved the big families. All boys though😂😘😡😢 . Great series!!!!🔥📝🙌
Sky been through it all taken a chance to escape from Slim lord I was so happy. but finally receiving the love and safety from Huncho along with finally having her baby girl. Now let me say this Bri I was hoping you would just push through and be a good little sister. But no child u just like the mother and her mindset all crewed up. Anyway happy how it all turn out had me laughing at some moments.
Great read. Sky had a rough 7 years with Slim until Honcho came into her life. Sky was trying her hardest to make life better for her sister but Brielle was ungrateful..She desires a hard life since she was jealous of Sky. Brielle was a user that why she went back to high school friend even thought she didn’t like her . She deserved everything she got....Good read...
Yess a great ending to a great series! I so loved this storyline from beginning to end. It just shows that you can’t let your past define you and shows that you gotta let people go no matter who they are. I really hoped Brielle was gone get her act together. Huncho was def bae and I loved him and askiya together. I really hope we get an update story later on down the line about them.
OMG, this series was 💣! I really liked Sky's character..her strength, and determination just priceless. Huncho is the man he was loving, understanding & her rider. I felt his love jumping off the pages. I Slim was the devil...period..and I'm glad he finally got his karma. I still couldn't stand Brielle, I would love a book with her( hint) This was such a great series!!! I loved it!!!
Omg these series was so damn good. I couldn’t get a nothing of it. I’m so so so Happy SLIM got what was coming to him. I’m surprised about Allen smh. I couldn’t get enough of Skylar. I loved Sky & Huncho 😍😍😍 The way he loved her was something women dream about these days. I ain’t surprised about her little sister at all. Overall this was a 5 star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Series
There was way too much recapping throughout the story just dragged out a slow moving read. Too many characters that I didn’t care about that I was forced to read about and their comeuppance took too long to come. Such characters were more stupid than villianous. The author reflected lazy plot development. It was illogical that a streetwise millionaire who is overprotective flaunts every event in his life when he left an enemy behind.
As much as they tried to break Askiya I’m glad that she never folded. Brielle she was definitely hateful as much as her sister had her back. Antoinette whew sh went through it but it was good to know that Major had her back all the way.Huncho what can you say about a man that loved his Woman like no other. It was so good to hear from Cortez and winter!!!
Slim got what he deserved I’m glad Sky took his pink self out I was tired of him putting fear into Sky it’s sad that he was so jealous he made her miscarry one of her babies he was a lame and to hold a daycare hostage to get Sky back. Byrd is a lost cause like Bri it’s too bad that they can’t see they are hurting theirselves and not Sky I agree with Sky approach it’s better to love people from a distance
I really really loved this story. Omg did it start soooo damn crazy but crazy with purpose.Sky was a very strong and brave woman I admire her strength. I'm so in love with Huncho and so much bcz he's such the definition of what a Man should be. Thank you for such a beautiful story I'm on the hunt for more, hopefully I will find these guys in another book. Happy reading
This was really good. I have read several of your books and you never fail to disappoint me. You a beast wit a 🖊 pen my dear. I would love to see a book out about Slim because it's something about him that I really enjoyed his character. He's a villain and they sometimes have a great story to tell as well. Eventho, you mentioned things about his upbringing I would like to know more.
Whewwww chile!!!...This book had me on the edge of my seat and teats falling out my eyes!!!...I was sooooo glad Sky was able to finally get her happy ending even with the loss of one her babies!!!...Brielle is a lost soul and I hope she finds her some peace because she is definitely on the road to some mess!!!...Nett and Major definitely got back on that road for a growing marriage and I loved their dynamic!!!...
Huncho was definitely a real one and he looked out for everyone. He saved Askia and turned her life around. Thus book was a great read about love, family, great friends and loyalty. As always Diamond reads are great and always includes the realness in Miami but this book hit different because prostitution is real and most people doesn’t realize that some of these girls are forced into it or manipulated by someone they trust.
Great end to a great series. This author does not disappoint!! Sky went through sooooo much. It was nice to see Sky happy after 7 years of hell. Brielle and Byrd were something else. I couldn’t stand Brielle, but I can’t lie a spin-off featuring her would be a page turner. I was sad to see the series end. I would definitely recommend it 🔥
