There are aspects of this book that I really like, but I also found bits of the story quite annoying. Westpoint continues to be more like a dating agency than a military academy and far too much of the book was about the bad guys and their various drug deals. I’m happy to know what is happening with the gangsters, but it seemed like more pages were devoted to them than Missy.

Another great installment in the series

You know it's a good book when you don't want it to end. I have really enjoyed this series, so much that I have now reread books 1 through 7 a couple of times each. As such I was eagerly awaiting book 8. I could say that I was not disappointed, but that would be a lie. I was disappointed that it wrapped up so quickly! I'm hoping book 9 comes soon and that it starts off with her and her team-22 friends.

The character development continues apace, a few new friends are added to the cast, and all the main characters get some of the limelight as well. This book is where Tracy the fire which joins into the series.

Missy gets a new power and while there have been complaints by other readers how over powered she is getting, this new power is a variation of an old one and comes with limitations. I would say that PG Allison is looking at feedback.

Do yourself a favour and read this latest installment. Then go back and reread the whole series again.

Perhaps The Best Missy Story Yet

An excellent continuation of the previous 8 novels and the novella Tracy The Fire Witch, which preceded this novel.

The story continues with Missy becoming the Alpha of the New England werewolf pack (mentioned in Tracy The Fire Witch) and then dealing with not only the terrorists she's been involved with stopping, but now the Hong Kong coven is back in New York and Missy must help to shut them down. She eventually completes her 2nd year at West Point, and then travels to Hong Kong to somehow deal with the crime coven there.

Loved all the interplay of the various characters, and the fact that Missy continues to develop her talents.

I highly recommend this novel if you've read the previous novels, and if you haven't , you should get them and read to catch up...

Missy and friends take on a batch of evil witches from Hong Cong

Missy and friends take on a batch of evil witches from HongCong that try to take over the New York Mob that Missy has been involved with sort of through the Rosanne foundation for girls who have been involved or harassed by the mobs. To keep the mobs from going to war Missy and the P group from the government involve the FBI. It gets very complicated and Missy has to get even more friends involved. She learns more talents. Takes over a werewolf coven and has other things happen if you want to find out how read book and find out it will be worth it. Great read. So much going on. Kidnapping, winning, trophies, traveling, West Point, it was hard to keep up but I made it. Loved it. And am ready for more.

FABULOUS!

This new Missy adventure is wonderful! It is very full of action, romance and great Missy and friends fun. It is great to learn how Missy becomes the Alpha of the New England pack. There is so much going on in the book it is hard to stop reading to do anything. Even to sleep. This was the best Missy story yet. The situations and the new powers Missy keeps adding to her arsenal are thrilling and really make me want more Missy and company stories. I really can't wait for the next story. I would recommend this story to any adult reader who enjoys sexy shifter stories with lots of action and fun!

Missy is too much

I have read the entire series now. It’s a nice easy read. The story arc is a good one. The characters are developed, sometimes overly much. The biggest problem I had is that there is no tension in the stories. If Missy encounters a problem, it’s resolved in roughly 3 pages. She is always adding a new power or ability. Everything is always perfect for her; her supernatural powers, school work, sex, and sports. She not only solves her problems but she solves her friend’s problems as well. I blitzed through the first three or four books but I had to slow down to finally finish them. A little of Missy goes a long way.

Another great addition to the series

The story started a little slow this time, but what I’ve always loved about this series still holds true. There is struggle it is not extreme and the good guys win. To me it is about, adventure, learning, growing, maturing, and love of course. I love the stories about Missy and her people fighting the good fight, living their lives, and getting peeks into other lives. I always know that I will feel good at the end of reading one of this authors books which is a huge draw for me. Thanks for another great read and adventure!

Supernatural Superhero Missy McCrea Thumps Thugs.

The title of the book is slightly misleading. Missy does, indeed, to to Hong Kong, but in a style which is a departure from her previous exploits. However, it is a departure which makes complete sense in the context of the story.

I would love to see the Missy the Werecat books made into movies. The visuals would be stunning to say the least. Naturally they would be "R" rated for nudity, sexual situations, violence, depictions of drug use, et cetera, but as adult mythic stories they would make great cinema!

This is my first read in the series so now I really want to go back and read the others! Not because it's needed but because it will be fun. After several tours In Country, Missy is at West Point but is pulled out for special assignments by the DOD. A real high intensity fun read that kept me up waaaay too late. Loved it!
Summer Morton is the narrator extraordinaire who has the range of voices and emotions!

You don’t mess around with Missy!

The Zhu-Gung organization, a group of evil Hong Kong witches are bound and determined to expand into the United States. They’re like a supernatural Mafia, selling drugs, protection rackets and prostitution. Robbery, arson and murder are also on their menu. They have a big problem, though, with achieving their nefarious plans and her name is Missy! Read this book and the rest of this series. You WILL be very glad you did! :)

The Chinese are back to cause trouble in New York

Missy and her ever expanding group of allies have to address several problems including a terrorist attack in Germany, the Chinese coven in New York and the undercover spy in Washington. As her werewolf colleagues return to the U.S., there are issues with the northeast pack and their acceptance. There is a lot going on at West Point as well.

P. G. Allison does it again

I have read all the Missy and Tracy books at least twice. I have been reading for almost 50 years. P. G. Allison compares with other great author's in making a story great.

Please consider giving Missy a chance to lighten your day with a great escape.

I love the Missy series

I love Missy and her compatriots. These books give you hope and joy in a bleak world. The Missy books remind you that despite the evils of the world, there are still good people out there. It also teaches you that people can change. Plus it is a fun read. I admire this author.

Starting to run out of steam...

Missy is great, all powerful, has the libido of a freight train... And that could sum up the previous two books as well. Too much of this book recaps event from Tracy's book. Missy goes to Hong Kong for 5 pages... Book could have had a better title... Yet I still likes it...

hong kong or burst

This is a very good shifter, witch book. It brings to life a werecat/witch female who is a hero! Missy seems to be that girl everyone always wants to be. Plus she is at West Point training to become a female Army Warrior that will put her people and country first. A must read for all were/witch fans!!!!

Like the rest of the Missy books, this is a fun read. Missy is once again fighting for those who can’t fight for themselves and willing to help the downtrodden. She develops new abilities in this book and further strengthens the ones she already has. Even though she is powerful, she goes out of her way to help others at every opportunity.

Feel good factor

The Missy books have a very welcome feel good factor, despite the violence which is a welcome counterpoint. I would like to see a story perhaps, of a big cat rescue, either natural or supernatural (or both) I think Missy needs a sidekick. Thank you for some much enjoyable reading, Keep up the good work

She went. She spoke. She left.

Misssy again takes command and discovers and hones her abilities whilst crossing continents tackling terrorists and threatening Chinese gangsters.
A great story, stopping only for meals I had to keep reading until finished.

Enjoyable

This series continues to be entertaining in a soft, "Let's hear it for Missy and friends" manner. I enjoy it and do recommend this series which does need to be read in order.

Prefect as always! I love how Missy is a confident strong women and always kicks ass. I’m excited that there a more books coming in the future. I wish there was a way Mike couldn’t become a supernatural too and work with her

What's next?

This was as good as always, and I liked the idea of a supernatural Special Forces .... from the little hint, could that be where Missy's heading? Not to mention the fact that her unborn nieces will be witches! Could there be a spin-off or at least story there?

Great book

It is the continuation of a great story of a very brave young woman in a strange new world. The action never ends and the characters keep getting better at what they do. Never back down from a challenge and always do whatever your opponent never expects.

Classic Missy Adventure

Another good book in the werecat series. The only complaint is that while its fun to watch, missy is so OP that there's no suspense to the books any longer.

My name is Missy too

I enjoy reading about Missy as that is my name. However i get confused when she shifts into her mountain lion but screams like a cougar. Over all it is a great book. I like the whole series. I will look forward to the next one...
