How can a killer be 3000 miles away and at your doorstep at the same time?

Ashley Quinton is on the verge of madness after the release of a killer she helped put behind bars nineteen years ago. Upon the exact moment of his discharge, she immediately receives calls from a local payphone from someone who tells her things only the killer would know. And then she begins to see items connected to her past–items that were given to her by this man when she was a child, only for them to disappear in a haze of smoke and mirrors before others can confirm her claims. As much as she points an accusing finger at the killer as the culprit, he’s proven to be three thousand miles away. Yet as far away as he is, he knows everything that’s going on in Ashley’s life because he’s also at her doorstep.

A sad story in some ways, a tragic story with lots of twists and turns but of a man who wants to control everyone, especially his family. Too much sadness in a story which could have been a good read, when you got passed the history of the childhood dramas, there was a two-prong attack on one of the main characters in the book, but gladly, there was a happy ending but it was not a book I enjoyed as I was not expecting it to be quite such a psychological story. There may be people who enjoy this kind of story but it is not for me, I finished it in the hope that there would be a good ending and there was, but I would not read another quite like it.

A great edge of your seat thriller. The book kept me guessing right up to the end. How can a killer be in two places at once? Will Amy go mad before it all ends? Very well written.
