However, his plan starts to backfire once he’s in her presence again. The longer he’s around her, the more the icebox he calls a heart begins to thaw.

Hi, my name is Siren Allen. I’m a writer and lover of all things erotic and romantic. I reside in southern Mississippi where I write steamy romances that are guaranteed to make you blush. When I’m not listening to the characters in my head and jotting down their adventures, I am busy working as a Clinical Laboratory Technician.

I love to travel, preferably with my husband, so he can do all of the driving. I enjoy time with my family, who are just as silly as I am. I have no children…yet, wish me luck! My hobbies are reading, writing and shopping, though I hate trying on clothing. If I wasn’t a writer or a Laboratory Professional, I would probably be a Secret Agent. But that’s the beauty of being a writer; you can create your own world and be whoever you want to be. In my imaginary world, I am Queen and my siblings are my minions.

Passionate, Whimsical, Heartwarming

I'm not one for novellas as I find that the length often leaves room for character development and story. Not this time! The characters are wonderful and fully fleshed out and the story has a delightful flow and is full of wonderful friendships and a great romance. Kang is a heartbroken mess but still holds out hope that his kitten might share his deep love. Oh and there's a little magic woven in that sets the tone just right. My second book by this author and I can say Siren has a new fan. If you're looking for a quick read that has heart, friendship, love and a dash of spice with a sprinkle of magic - get this book.

Have you ever had a best friend of the opposite sex who you fell for, but kept it secret because you didn’t want to ruin the friendship? Well, that’s what happened to Willow. She allowed her parents’ bad relationship to warp her thinking and keep her from the man she loved.

Kang loved Willow too, only he had no hangups about relationships. He professed his feelings to her in hopes it would take their friendship to another level. WRONG! Willow rejected him and he reacted to his pain with anger, causing the friendship to be ruined. All of that took place before the story even began. Wow!

It had been years since they had seen each other, but now Kang was back from Korea. Willow and her two bffs, who are also her roommates, work for Kang’s mother’s cosmetic company in the marketing dept. Kang is the VP of the company, but acts as the GM of their division when their current GM is fired because of a scandal. That’s where the drama ensues.

That’s all I will tell you of the storyline. From there things get wild. We have a crazy cast of characters who entertain! There’s a feral cat who understands humans and I am not so sure he’s just a cat. We also have Kang’s 3 best friends who keep you in stitches. Not to mention Willow’s friends who are intrusive, but well meaning party girls. A jealous and evil co-worker makes her mark, as well as an office slut. The best guest appearance comes at the hands of Mr. Cat when he leads the girls to a spiritual advisor’s storefront.

She provides Willow with a special “stone massager” that opens her mind and clears the cobwebs so to speak. This helps her see things clearly and be able to trust herself enough to act on what’s in her heart.

I enjoyed this story of friends to enemies to lovers. The characters were well developed and the story was fun. I was however left still wondering about this cat and his superpowers. The author hinted that we could possibly find out in future releases, but I am spoiled. I hate waiting. Also, I was disappointed that the office tramp didn’t get dealt with. I was looking forward to seeing how she was dismissed. 4.5 stars

I loved this frienemies story

Even though Willow Nicole Thompson broke his heart years ago, he never stopped loving her. Kang was supposed to fire her when he came back to town after the GM resigned from Royal Cosmetics, but he had a visceral reaction when he saw her smile. He had to know why Willow rejected him. Their interaction in the stairwell just spurred things on.

Even though Willow was afraid to lose Kang based on her mother's heartache from losing her father to another woman, she finally got the courage to get tell Kang why. They both realized they'd wasted too many years being enemies.

Siren wrote a sweet friends to enemies to lovers story. I loved the supportive relationship that both Kang and Willow had with their close friends. I loved their light-hearted comic relief that made the story wonderful and refreshing to read, especially her roommates referring to Kang as "He Who Will Not Be Named."

I absolutely loved Willow and how she wasn’t entertaining Kang’s ego. Then the chemistry between the two is unreal you can feel it as you are reading. I started out not liking Kang but he definitely grew on me just like with Willow. This is an absolute must read. Siren Allen has done it again 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Loved it

I really loved this Kitty Chronicles installment. Lee, Shao, Nahm and Kang are great friends, just like Dezzah, Kizzy and Willow. These groups of friends against everyone else made for a great story. My only problem is that too many parts of the story line are unfinished.
