Calamity is my first Nikki Riker book. It won't be my last because I decided to purchase the rest of the books in this MC series. It would've been helpful in terms of the secondary characters and the overall background of what's going on. However, Riker does a good job of helping those of us that didn't read the first three books. By the way, they're available so go get those books!
What can I say about this book? Oh lawd have mercy!! Calamity is a man on a mission: REVENGE! Penny is trying to help girls escape from the circumstances they find themselves. She's not out for revenge, but on a mission herself. What happens when Calamity's mission runs into Penny's mission? That's right...you're going to have to read the book.
I'm going to update my review in the future after I've read the other books. However, this one was absolutely what you want as an MC reader. You expect certain things and really get excited when there are twists along the way. I highly recommend this book!!

Penny and Calamity made a powerhouse of a couple. Seething with hatred for each other with long standing betrayal and murder in their past, this enemy to lovers romance was a wild and graphic ride.
Penny's persona was almost masculine in the tough and independent way she thought and acted. Fiercely independent, strong, and packed with fighting skills, she backed down to no man. She met her match in Calamity as she willingly submits to his authority to release two teenaged girls in her charge.
Violent, raw, graphic and brutal storyline that was also full of emotional content that focused on Calamity and the way Penelope ended up changing and healing him.
Very well written and fast paced with MC drama that enhanced the main love story between the damaged Calamity and the super capable Penny. I am anxious to read more from this author.

This is book four in the Sleepless Spades MC series. This is Calamity and Penny's story. A great story where a peace treaty between two MC clubs is on the verge of being broken which would cause an all out war. There is nothing like revenge to add a little kick in your step but no one ever thinks about the feelings that can come from it either. Calamity and Penny have great chemistry but being from different clubs, is this what breaks or strengthens the existing.treaty between the two clubs? I absolutely loved this book. I have also had the pleasure of reading this series and cannot wait for the next book. I highly recommend this series of you enjoy the biker romance theme. Enjoy!

Wowser what a cracker of a read this one is. You just cannot wait to get to the end of the book. This author just holds my attention from the first to the last pages that are written. Calamity is the CK leader, he is terribly angry because the Cruz family have taken his daughter. He is able to get Penelope Cruz in his grasp and although he was after revenge he ends up having feelings for her. I won't say more as I hate spoilers and you just have to follow this author and get reading, you won't be disappointed.

This is the fourth book in this series and I do feel that you will enjoy it far more if you have read the previous books as you will have a better understanding of the characters and what has influenced there decisions

Calamity is a great conclusion to the Sleepless Spades MC series. It gives you the history and the story of the rift between the Spades and the Kings.
Calamity was more than an enemy to the Spades, he was a founder and was run off by a jealous Cruz. Penny crossed the line to help a couple of girls, offering herself as trade to the Kings.
While with Calamity, Penny finds the the truth of family and is determined to correct the lies that has been spread over the year.
Together they are able to end the turf war.

Nikki did amazing job. I could not wait to read & it did not disappoint. Calamity is part of a rival gang. He has it out for 're Spades another gang. Penny is part of the Spades. Her job is to help girls who are prostitutes. She is looking for two girls and when we can't find them, she goes into the territory of the rival gang. I'm order to save the girls, she gives her life. Things take an amazing turn of events MUST READ!

I absolutely LOVED Calamity! This is my first read by this author and I am so beyond happy that I found her because it won't be my last. This book will give you everything you could imagine. There's danger, excitement, tragedy, secrets and lies and last but certainly not least is love in the most unexpected way. Calamity and Penelope come together and are very formidable adversaries for each other. It's quite a thrill ride. Now I have to get the first 3 start again.

A superbly written book four of the Sleepless Spades MC series! It is an emotionally deep, compelling, well written, and engaging read. An on the edge-of-your-seat captivating page-turner with drama, suspense, and more heart-racing adventure. Likeable and strong characters; their chemistry is off the charts! Definitely recommended!

This was a quick read for me. I love the chemistry between Penny and Calamity. They both have stuff to deal with but it is fireworks. This was an interesting read for me and I so do really like this MC, it is intriguing and well a but of rascally intractable. I love this MC.

Calamity loves that Penny just drops into his lap, he sees her as a means to seeking revenge against her family. Penny has developed feelings for Calamity although she believes he is her families enemy. Good biker romance.

MC through and through
Younger Penny fell into older Calamity's lap, when she came to bargain for the freedom of two of her rescue girls. Complicating things were a family feud - spilling over into a MC feud, unknown enemies out for both, and chemistry hot of the charts.
This is part of a series and admittedly the first chapter or so I felt lost as I had not read the previous books, however I think the book can stand on its own as well as we get enough information to follow the thread of the series story line.
I liked Penny as a hellcat and b@ll buster. She did not just give in. Calamity was a harder read. I would have liked to see some of their intimacy build outside the bedroom, but did not begrudge reading the smexy scenes. This book is more for the frisky at heart than the romantic, but Calamity did put Penny first and showed his strong but soft side which brings a smile to all of us that love the bad boys.
In all an entertaining read.
