Charmed by the Cowboy was cute with a side of drama.

The Gist: Sometimes you're out being all manly and cowboying and then you find yourself a baby goat. A baby goat in a red gown. And then your manly self is trotting around carrying a baby goat in a red gown trying to find said baby goat's human mama. Quite the way to meet your new neighbor.

Cooper and Beth were nice. He's all sexy cowboy with a heart of gold and a protective streak a mile wide. And Beth is pretty solid, too. She's a goat in clothes photographer. lol She makes calendars of them. She was nice. Resourceful and ready to make a go of her new life. I liked them both.

The romance was minimal unfortunately. They were good together and had chemistry but really more of the book was spent with them dealing with their perspective stalkers and fall out from them. I wish that had taken a little more of a back seat to their romance. It was just a trickle then a boom I love you. Not my favorite type in a story.

Overall, though, Charmed by the Cowboy was an easy read. Perfect for a hot summer evening when you just need a cowboy quickie with a side of dressed up baby goats.

All Tied Up

Clever story and fun characters, however it all moved too quickly for my liking. Tension built a few times, but was resolved too quickly.

Cooper was a sweet, clean story that was fun to read. It was full of interesting characters, and some cute goats, too! I enjoyed getting to know the people of Ransom Creek.

The main characters, Cooper and Beth, had good romantic chemistry, yet both of them were dealing with the reality of troublesome exes from the past. I liked Beth’s determination to start fresh and Cooper’s realization that his feelings for Beth were unlike any he’d ever felt before. This was an enjoyable story and I look forward to reading more in the series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Wow! What an adventure! Cowboys, goats and love oh my! It all started with a lost goat named Milly!
Both Cooper and Beth are done with dating due to disastrous past relationships, however one lost goat bring them together and dealing with feelings for each other.
However , their ex-relationship may not have left them behind. Will they open their hearts again?
Debra you have a true talent in creating such wonderfully humorous, and romantic stories please don't stop!

I'm sorry, with this book, I just... Couldn't. The dialogue was stilted and unrealistic, the plot....blase, and I really just skimmed the last half of the book to finish it.

Pleasant, clean romance

Engaging characters and a pleasant story, though the conflict arising from subsidiary characters is all resolved too easily and the style is a little repetitive.

This is Cooper Presley and Beth Lee's story.
“Tilly,” Beth called, as she’d been doing off and on since the goat had disappeared and she’d followed tiny hoof marks this way as far as they’d been visible. “Tilly,” she called, again. Her heart thundered as she heard the unmistakable howl of a coyote sounding behind her. Close behind her.
Cooper’s mouth fell open as his forgotten rope missed its mark and fell to the ground. Relief coursed through him as he jerked his horse to a halt and gaped in dismay. He blinked hard, if he hadn’t seen it with his own eyes, he would not have believed it. But there it stood: a tiny, white goat—dressed in a frilly red dress.
I highly recommend reading.

I was so happy when this book showed up in my Bookbub email. Debra Clopton is fast becoming a new and improved Barbara Cartland for me. (My mother collected those romances when I was a kid and I started my own journey into the romance novel realm through them.)
Cooper (Cowboys of Ranson Creek #3) is a book I've been wanting to read for a while now. Debra Clopton didn't disappoint. This book is a lovely, well done romance.
I love her characters. Strong, gentle, and reliable men who have troubles but don't give up seal the deal for me. Every time. Her heroines are equally strong, if not always in body, definitely in mind. They're believable characters and I really get invested in their stories. This book was no different than the others in that respect.
The plot of 'Cooper' really kept me going, too. I never really knew what was going to happen next. The only problem area to me was that the climax seemed like it passed too quickly. The action there was good, but it just seemed to move too fast.
This book's a keeper and I'm so glad I found it! (I sometimes miss out on my Bookbub offering because I forget to check my email.) I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys sweet romance, contemporary romance, or cowboy romance.

Cooper by Debra Clopton
Cowboys of Ransom Creek Series Book One
Cooper Presley is a natural flirt and the woman like him. He may go on dates now and then, but nothing serious. Unfortunately, the last girl was ready for marriage after two dates and had gone off the deep end. So, Cooper is taking a break from dating. And then he meets the new neighbor...

Beth Lee is in Ransom Creek to start over. To raise her goats, start a garden, and no men. Unfortunately, she meets the handsome and kind cowboy next door and has to remind herself how about the no men. Which is hard to do with a man like Cooper Presley.

Another fun series from Debra Clopton. Full of adorable animals and handsome cowboys. The reader can first meet the Presleys in the book seven of the Windswept Bay Series, where their baby sister, Lana, meets Cam Sinclair. Her Cowboy Hero has the neighbor girl and Cooper's best friend, Trip Jensen, and Bride for Hire gives even a closer look at the Presleys when their cousin Carson Andrews story is told.

Cooper is one of five Presley brothers and they're all ranchers on their father's ranch. One day, he finds a dressed up baby goat when it runs across his path. He figures the owner must be his new neighbor.

Beth has just moved into her uncles farm house and discovered one of her goats missing. Fortunately, her cowboy neighbor found the both of them, because she had been searching for hours.

What follows is both a quick romance and a mild suspense. There's some drama stirred up by a young woman Cooper dated a few times as well as recollections of past harassment from Beth's ex boyfriend.

All in all, it's a relaxing read that's perfect for a vacation or even before bed.

Romance - Steamy PG / lots of kissing and physical awareness between the lead characters.
Language - PG / clean
Violence - stalking, verbal threats, one character punches another and hogties him.
My rating - 4 stars

Ms Clopton takes us back to Ransom Creek so we can enjoy another sweet, clean romance with a little of suspense thrown in to keep us guessing.
This time we have Cooper Presley’s story. He is one of the handsome Presley brothers from Ransom Creek. If you have read Ms. Clapton’s book, With This Pledge, you met their sister Lana.
Beth Lee has moved to her uncle’s ranch for a new start. Her adorable goats are always getting in trouble and when one them escapes , Presley not only gets a chance to meet Beth, but he also comes to the rescue of her and her goat Tilly.
It was nice to meet up with the townspeople, see how they interacted and when Beth Lee needed help, they came to assist her.
An enjoyable story for an afternoon of leisure.
I was gifted this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I totally enjoyed this story because I have been reading about Cooper in the previous stories and his attitude is that he is not going to settle down for a very long time. He is just into casual dating, but after dating Nicole, she even turned him off of that. But then he meets Beth. Also, the fact that this big, macho, cowboy is holding a goat in a dress just made me laugh.

Beth is defiantly one of those girls who knows what type of life she wants and is determined to get it. She has a big secret and is not interested in getting into a relationship. Isn’t that when those things happen?

This was a fun story to read and totally enjoyed the addition of goats to the cowboy life of cattle.

This was a quick read and a sweet romance. Cooper and Beth have a genuine connection.

Cooper Presley is a cowboy to the fullest and he is struggling to shake off his latest dating mistake. He has vowed to swear off women for a while...until he meets his new neighbor.

Beth has left city life to start over at her uncle’s ranch. She left because of a bad breakup and refuses to be scared and has also decided she will not date anymore neighbors...until Cooper stirs up feelings.

These two are adorable and the relationship happens naturally. This is a clean romance with some mystery, humor and good secondary characters. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I liked Cooper and his relationship with his brothers and dad. I liked Beth and all the secondary characters.

I didn't like how stilted some of the dialog came across, or how contrived the plotting seemed to become. It read like a shorter novella that needed to be fleshed out to become full-length. There wasn't a whole lot of conflict between the characters, or passion. Yes, there was conflict provided by Nicole and Scott, but it didn't seem like enough. They liked each other from the start, and the plot points in the story didn't warrant enough to keep them apart.

Disappointing read for me, and I won't be reading any more- for fear they'll be the same milquetoast story.

Cooper Presley has sworn off dating after Nicole puts her claim on him and won't let go after two dates! Beth brings her miniature goats to a neighboring farm to get away from a stalking neighbor. Beth sells calendars with pictures of her goats wearing clothing. Can you imagine tough ranchers reaction to that? Beth and Cooper are great well-written protagonists. Life in Ransom Creek gets interesting! Debra Clopton has written another amazing clean romance which I recommend to others! I received a complimentary copy from the author. This is my honest opinion.

Why is that when we say we aren't going to do something, we end up eating our words? Cooper had a poor dating experience and decided he was not going to date for awhile. Of course, that was before he met his new neighbor Beth Lee. This story had me hooked from the start - I love the authors use of humor, the interactions between the characters, the characteristics of the animals, and so much more. Just thinking of some of the scenes in the book makes me laugh still. You definitely want to read this book/series.

Cooper Presley has sworn off dating women but his new neighbor, Beth Lee, has caught his attention with her cute baby goat wearing a red dress! Beth isn't too happy about the mutual attraction because she moved to get away from a crazy ex-boyfriend in Houston. It doesn't take long for the matchmaking folks of Ransom Creek to come up with ways for these to be together, even if their former boyfriend and girlfriend are causing trouble.

I love these clean and wholesome romances and am looking forward to reading more in the future.

I received an ARC but all opinions are my own.

Christian Fiction?

I'm at a loss as to why this was classified as Christian Fiction. It was an okay story, definitely a romance but not much depth, nobody cursed, no casual sex. It was a nice, clean read. But there was no spirituality, no mention of God, Jesus, faith, prayer, giving thanks - nothing I could identify as a spiritual element. As a straight romance novel, I would have given it three stars. But in my opinion, as Christian Fiction, it missed the mark completely.

Cooper is book three in the Cowboys of Ransom Creek series. Cooper has sworn off women. When Beth moves in next door, he finds himself wanting to break his own rule. Beth is hiding from her ex, but eventually she can't hide anymore. Cooper comes to her rescue. Will they each find more than what they were ever hoping for? This story is one of those that sucks you in. I loved it and definitely recommend it.

Another fabulous addition to this series

We finally get to the first book about one of the Presley brothers. This story centers around Cooper and Beth. Beth has moved to town to get away from her ex. Cooper is working on the ranch and trying to get it into Nicole’s head that they’re not going to have a relationship. I just loved the way the town came together to help Beth, when she needed it. Grab your copy and fall in love with the Presley brothers.

I liked the book even though I have a few issues I still gave a 4 star. I liked the characters and how they got along. I didn't like how the book moved along so fast. It seemed to me like one paragraph would be dealing with a problem and the next paragraph it was taken care of, but we wouldn't really know all the details. And the boyfriend, what happened to him? The good thing about this book it was not a cliffhanger!!!

This sweet romance is a clean read, with a few religious undertones. Beth Lee photographs her baby goats in all kinds of costumes - providing a whimsical element to the story and a sharp contrast to the great-looking, very manly cowboy who lives on the neighboring ranch. Given the genre, the happily ever after ending is not a surprise but the paths taken as their romance takes off made for light reading and a pleasant diversion.

This sweet and clean contemporary western romance maintained my attention throughout. Beth moves a couple of hundred miles away in Texas to get away from a jealous boyfriend and start a goat farm at her uncle's old farm. Swearing off relationships, she meets up with Coop who immediately hits it off with her as he too fends off an overtly jealous admirer. Much attraction pursues with past relationships attempting to undermine their budding one. Short read for those who enjoy this genre.

Great read

Beth went to take care of her uncle’s farm. She needed to get away from her crazy neighbor next door. They had dated some and she had to get a restraining order on him.

After she moves to the farm one of her goats gets out and she goes hunting for the goat. Her farm neighbor, Cooper, finds the goat and tries to find her to return it.

What will happen when he meets her? Read to find out!

Cooper is taking right away with the new neighbor. He helps her catch her run away little goat and help her fix her pen so they stay put. He told he will be around if she need anything else. there just one little problem his crazy ex-girlfriend named Nicole. They had two dates and she is buying her wedding gown. He has told her many times that they are a wrong fit but she thinks he is still hers and no one is getting in her way. And heaven help anyone he is interested in.

Beth Lee and Cooper Presley met the way people should meet. They lived close to each other, and their paths crossed. The perfect way to meet turned into the perfect romance. I never did understand why people would want to meet someone in a bar or online. Come on folks, get a life like Beth and Cooper! As with all of Debra's stories, this book was very entertaining and relaxing. A feel-good book in a sometimes-difficult world.

Beth and Cooper have both sworn off dating, but fate has other ideas. The sparks fly from their first meeting. They have both had bad dating experiences in the past, with scary ex's. Will their mutual interest be enough to give dating a try again? This is a fun clean romance full of adventure and great chemistry.
