I received an ARC copy of this from the author. Thanks so much Sylver for letting me read this adorable book! 😍

I honestly do not read paranormal books like this very often, however, I enjoyed this book immensely!

It was a fast read for me because I couldn’t put it down! Raven is a relatable introvert that has had to deal with a lot of issues at home and other traumas, and yet has endured them all and doesn’t allow those bad days to get her down.

Kaden. Ah Kaden! He is definitely a charismatic and adorable person😍 I basically fell in love with him from the get go! He is so sweet with Raven and has this secret that just adds to his personality.

I really loved the balance of the story, the characters, the mystery, the thrills, and the romance in this book. It basically had everything anyone would want in one book. I highly recommend this book to any reader! 😊

4-4.5 ✨

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel! I think that Kaden is such a strong character is this book. I loved how this was not a very fast-paced or forced romance between Raven and Kaden. The author seemed to really give it time to develop throughout the novel. I also think that the second half of the novel had the right amount of action to keep me hooked all the way to the end. There is also some descriptions of abuse in case that triggers some readers. I think that I would have liked to see Raven with a more hard-headed, spunky personality because her character nearly screamed “damsel in distress” and that made me think that she can only really depend on Kaden and it slightly bothered me. However, this story is very well written and I enjoyed every second of reading it! I am very thankful that I was able to receive an ARC from the author to review it. Please check it out if you can!

This book invokes so many personal emotions. I read through an early version of this story very fast! I could hardly wait for the next chapter each time!

Raven, the MC, is a very resilient young woman. She endures much shock and trauma, heartbreak and fear, yet she endures! I related heavily with the MC. I love that she works at a bookstore too!

This book is a great choice for teens and adults alike. It has fantastic suspense, terrific action, a sweet budding romance, and the trials are very realistic given the books supernatural premise.

For someone who doesn't read a lot of paranormal or supernatural stories, I was surprised, I dove into this book and did not want to come up for air.

I am a huge fan of this author!

Absolutely loved this book- A MUST READ!!!!

The start of this book was something straight out of a dream, in a good way of course. Raven introduces us to her ‘safe haven spot’ and there we catch a small glimpse of a magical world through the contact of a mesmerizing black wolf with distinctive blue eyes. An absolutely astonishing way to start a book off, definitely a perfect hook with the right amount of bait at the end.
*Let me tell you I didn’t even realize I was hooked till I was an hour into reading and I ate 100+ pages.*

Raven, the protagonist of this book, was an interesting character to explore, I found it easy to resonate with her *so kudos to the author on this.* Raven doesn’t have the greatest at home life, like at all. Taking care of an overgrown baby which she calls a father, tending to him much like a child, takes a huge toll on her mental health due to the harsh words and abuse thrown at her. Did I mention he’s an alcoholic? We get a brief explanation for his ways, her mother left her at a young age and he has yet to cope with it. Raven is abused by her father stuck in an alcoholic state, resulting in her reactions to the violence throughout the book. As the story progresses we learn how strong-willed and determined the lovable character of Raven is and begin to sympathize with her. In all, Raven is a fragile-hearted character deprived of affection with an ache for love.

Moving onto Kaden, the typical dark mysterious hot guy with a deep dark secret. Kaden started off as the usual jock in a story and quickly turned into the love interest. We get a first look at him outside Raven’s job place, the bookstore. We get a glimpse of an immediate pull towards him on Raven’s part which he brushes off with his cold exterior. His cold and strong facade begins to crack as he gets to know Raven as the story progresses, slowly but surely Kaden opens his heart up to Raven. We see the softer side to him and we surely find ourselves falling in love with him along with Raven. Figuratively and literally he is Raven's knight in shining armor, rescuing and protecting her at all costs. Overall, it’s not hard to find ourselves falling in love with the incredibly hot Kaden, his cheeky remarks and beautiful smile; lets not forget those mesmerizing blue eyes.

The mythology/fantasy in this book had me gasping every turn of the page.

The mere small details of the twist onto common mythology was amazing to read but left me with some unanswered questions about this world.

In all, I’d really enjoy a sequel to this story, so we as the audience could fall deeper into this magical world you laid out for us.

To conclude this review, Fallen for you was a quick yet enjoyable read for me *as I eat 200 pages within two hours.* The romance, action, and mystery in this book was perfect enough to enjoy the ride, dare I say give me 800 more pages Sylver Michaela!!!

I am very proud of your first published novel Sylver, it exceeded my expectations and I cannot wait to read more of your work in the near future. Hopefully we get a glimpse of a mature target audience piece of work? *wink wink*

*This is my first review on here so I'm sorry if the spoiler thingy doesn't work, don't come at me!*

ARC received by the author. Thank you so much Sylver Michaela for the copy! This is a spoiler-free review!

This book can be appealing to various types of readers. We have a paranormal/fantasy aspect of the story, romance, mystery; there’s not a single boring page to this book.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading and I finished it in an entire day because Michaela did not add fluff in between pages, it constantly had me turning the page. Surprisingly, without much of the fluff it actually wasn’t a fast-paced read where sometimes it can be frustrating to see a forced romance happen. But no, this book still held an air of mystery which made me devour this all in one sitting!

What I like about the main character, Raven, is how relatable she is. The author touches on topics that made her seem like a real person. It’s not a cliché background that most characters receive, this one made my heart swell for her with understanding. Her background made her into this strong character who I absolutely adore. It has made her into a tough and determined individual.

Fallen For You is more than your average paranormal romance. In a short time period, the author was able to spin a fantastic tale of heartbreak, love, fantasy, redemption, experiences with abuse; the list goes on. I would recommend this to both teens and adults because it is such a well balanced read. It even got me out of a 1 month reading slump because I had to know the ending!

I initially was going to leave this at 4.5 stars but the originality in Michaela’s writing and ability to provide so many plot twists in a book has me rating this 5 wonderful stars!

I got the ARC copy from my dear friend Sylver. Thank you for giving me the chance to read this book of yours and being there with you as you went through this journey!

I wanna start by saying the book made me go through a rollercoaster of emotions over Kaden. He made me like, hate than fall in love with this poor boy. At one point, I literally wanted to fight him for what he was doing! But, in the end he was the most lovable boy you will ever come across! The emotions he makes you feel with the choices he made and how the author had him portrayed.

The main character, and point of view for this book, Raven was probably the most relatable to me. With her life at home being not so good, the troubles she have had in school and how she couldn't make friends. She also had to work three jobs because her father (I hate this man with a passion, but do understand his pain. But he didn't have a right to go the way he did) didn't want to do anything but drink and yell at her. He didn't even see her as Raven, but as Ravens' mother. With all that this girl has gone through, it's close to some of the stuff I have gone through as a kid growing up. Because of that, I was able to connect with Raven on a level that should be with a main character and a reader.

The story of the book had a good drive to it and was able to keep me on the edge of my seat as I was reading it. I literally read it from cover to cover the moment I got the chance to devour this amazing book. If you love a book shrouded in mystery, romance, hardships and paranormal beings, this is 100% the book for you.

I received an ARC copy of this book and was so happy that I did. I am usually not a reader and definitely not a paranormal romance kind of reader, but this book really surprised me. I was not able to put this book down due to its mysterious beginning, and all of the other mystery and romance in between. This is definitely a book that you will not be able to put down; you will finish a chapter and have to keep reading because the previous chapter had you on the edge of your seat. Overall, it was a very 'goodread' and deserves more stars than 5. You will fall in love with the main characters, Raven and Kaden, and want to read more about their story. Sylver Michaela, please write a sequel to these two characters and their romance :)

I received this as an ARC and I am glad it was my first ARC ever! Any story involving romance is an automatic no from me, but while reading this I never wanted to put it down. Seeing an author write a very strong character is a bookish turn on for me and to have two well written characters was incredible. I went into this story not wanting to know much about it, and I am glad I did so because going into it blind left my mind open to the world that Sylver introduced me to - and I want more! I want to read more about Raven and Kaden and the world their stories come from and I am hoping not to wait too long!

This book had me hooked from the very first page, it was so different to what I expected. I'm an absolutely sucker for romance with supernatural elements. The chemistry between the main characters was intense, and the plot had so many twists that blended together seamlessly, and although being slightly shorter than the average romance fantasy novel, the author gives just the right amount of details which ensures that no part of the book gets long and boring between plot points.

I read it in a day, so it's safe to say I loved it.

I was immersed in this book right from the beginning. It was such an entertaining read, fast-paced and filled with lots of action. I liked seeing Raven stand up for herself more towards the end of the book. You go girl! Oh and I absolutely loved the ending (and Kaden ;)) and how everything unfolded. Fallen For You made me feel nostalgic about the books (i.e. Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick) I obsessed over during my teen years, and is the perfect book to get me back into paranormal romance. Definitely check this one out!!!

If you are a fun of cheesy, paranormal romance in the YA genre, then this is a book for you!
This book follows Raven, a teenager with a traumatic past and living in less than satisfactory living conditions, who yearns for connection. When The new kid, Kaden, moves to town, strange things start happening to Raven. For me, the relationship between our two characters advanced too quickly (I’m not a fan of the insta-love trope), whilst the plot overall seemed to move a bit slower than recent reads. The writing style is uncomplicated, and felt geared more towards a younger/teen rather than a young adult on the older end of the scale( I don’t know if that makes sense at all!), having said that, there are some scenes that may not be suitable for younger readers. As mentioned, our MC has experienced trauma and there are trigger warnings for abuse.
This is a debut, and I believe a self-published novel and I did notice some grammatical errors through the text. I would still congratulate the author on bringing her first novel to life and her first step in her creative journey.
As mentioned, if you’re a fun of angsty teenage paranormal romance such as hush hush or twilight, or perhaps if you’re looking to dip a toe into paranormal romance, then give this book a go. Thank you to the author for giving me the change to sample her work, Fallen for You is available on 25th September in the UK!

Thank you Sylver for my ARC copy which was sent to me all the way from the US – I’ll treasure it!

This book is such a compelling read with action and drama all the way and I hungrily raced through it in a day. The prologue is enchanting with Raven in her secret little safe haven by the lake, and her encounter with the wolf was mesmerising. It is beautifully described and has an almost surreal fairytale quality. This scene is pictured on the front of the book and the artwork is beautiful.

The story follows our main protagonists Kaden and Raven, both of whom I was instantly drawn to and are very engaging. Their characters are really well portrayed and you can really feel all their angst and emotions. They form a beautiful relationship together and I enjoyed the slow development of this romance, their banter and interaction with one another other and there are some lovely tender moments.

Raven leads a very troubled life and lives with her abusive alcoholic father. Despite all the trauma in her life she comes across as very strong and resilient. I really feel for her, she has it tough, and I was really rooting for her and willing for it all to come good in the end. Kaden is the new boy in town, he’s dark, mysterious and brooding and has a hidden secret. I loved his character development, initially he could be very cold-hearted but also very caring and protective and I really warmed to him.

The story is well crafted and there is a perfect balance between the romance and all the action and adventure going on. There are some wonderful edge of your seat moments. The fantasy/paranormal aspects are brilliant, not quite what I imagined, as I was expecting something based around werewolves, so this was a unique surprise.

The writing is uncomplicated and easy to read and at 260 pages it’s definitely one to pick up if you want a nice speedy read. I would say the book it is geared more towards teenagers, however there are some fight scenes which might not be suitable for all. A great debut novel from Sylver, a wonderful page-turning read and, although everything is tied up beautifully at the end, a sequel would be very nice indeed!

Thank you Sylver for the ARC of this gorgeous book!

This was such a short and sweet story that I binge read in just a few hours because I couldn't put it down! From the get go I was intrigued by Raven and her backstory, and how this had shaped her into the person she is now. I thought the pacing was spot on, from meeting Kaden and having the mystery/paranormal elements unfold; at no point did I feel bored or that the story was going nowhere. There was a great amount of action and intense scenes where Raven was in danger that absolutely gripped me!
Kaden was definitely my favourite component of the book; his development and personality were so entertaining to read about and he definitely had me swooning at multiple points!
At times it did get a bit frustrating that Raven was so slow to piece things together, when I had figured it out much sooner. I also found some of her thoughts/dialogue to be a bit cheesy, however, this did seem to also add to the entertainment to the story!

Overall, I thought this was a simple but well thought out story that had me feeling all giddy by the time I finished it. It was composed of so many tropes and scenes that I am absolutely trash for, so I can definitely see this being a guilty pleasure read for me... part of the reason I enjoyed it so much too was due to nostalgic reasons; I loved paranormal romance novels growing up and Fallen for You allowed me to experience one of my teen fantasies (again, guilty pleasure read!). I would recommend this for anyone who is in the mood for a fun and easy but suspenseful read, full of adorable romance and paranormal intrigue!!

An emotional and heart-gripping debut novel from author Sylver Michaela. After reading the blurb I had a feeling I would fall in love with this story and indeed I was captivated from the first pages.

Kaden and Raven were amazing characters. She's had such a harsh life growing up, living with an alcoholic father and her mother absent from her life. She learned to fend for herself from a tender age, and even though she was withdrawn and a bit of a loner, she was also a strong, kind-hearted and resilient girl. And Kaden melted my heart. He was all broody and mysterious, with his bad-boy attitude, but once the relationship between him and Raven deepened, seeing his sweet and carrying side made me love him even more. They had this crazy chemistry from the get-go and things between them evolved organically.

The story is fast-paced, told from Raven's Pov, peppered with intriguing and suspenseful moments. The writing style was easy to follow and engaging. I liked the slow burn romance between the protagonists, it had the right amount of angst and banter, and the build-up tension was sweet torture and totally worth waiting for them to be together. The plot had some twists and turns, and the paranormal aspect of the story ticked all the boxes for me. I highly recommend this book!

3.5 stars rounded up to 4

Was this book a little cheesy and did it remind me of Twilight a bit? Yes. Did I stay up until 3:30am binge reading the whole thing in one sitting? Yes... yes I did.

I honestly couldn’t put this book down. The plot captivated me, the characters drew me in, and the mystery of it all kept me wanting to read more. I was surprised to find this book had a lot of action and was pretty fast paced, as I thought it would be more of a low-key mystery with a splash of romance. However, I wasn’t disappointed when that wasn’t the case.

As much as I liked the romance between Raven and Kaden, there were some aspects of it that made me a bit uncomfortable. I’m not going to go into detail because I don’t want to spoil anything, but there were just some things I wasn’t super into.

Overall, I enjoyed this book! I think it’s a great debut novel, especially for one that the author started writing in high school. I gave up sleep to read this book and I think that says a lot. I recommend this book to people out there that love YA romance with a supernatural element, especially if you’re a fan of Twilight.

When I picked up this book I was expecting a nostalgic paranormal romance and this is exactly what Fallen for You delivered. I was transported back to my Twilight-obsessed teenage years immediately.

The book is easy to read and fast paced, which I loved. I wish the antagonists had been a little more fleshed out (if only because I love morally grey characters) but overall it was a really fun read.

Edit: forgot to mention how much I love stand alone stories, so that’s another point in this books favour.

Ah! I’m finally getting around to reviewing Fallen for You by Sylver Michaela. What an exciting and quick read! Thank you so much for sending me a copy of your book and trusting me with an honest review of your first published work. Overall, I am giving Fallen for You 4 stars.

This is the perfect book to curl up on the couch with and read all in one go. It’s fast paced, the romance is fiery and Kaden is the angsty and protective book boyfriend you’ve been dreaming of. Don’t get me wrong, I love a well written plot in my romance novels, but I appreciated that Fallen for You was primarily driven by the romance between Raven and Kaden. They have a very strong connection from their first meeting, and I found myself really routing for them throughout the book. Kaden was really my driving force, all dark hair and blue eyes with just the right amount of bad boy sass. I would love to have a Kaden novella in his viewpoint (hint, hint Sylver…).

Now, the reason why I am taking away one star is simply because I found it hard to relate to the main character Raven’s personality. Raven really got the wrong end of the stick in life; she was constantly facing some type of struggle. Her father is abusive and a drunk, she lives in a trailer in the woods and doesn’t quite fit in at school. I loved this about her character. It was refreshing to read about a female protag who doesn’t blend in with the rest of the YA pool of heroines. She was strong despite her struggles and continued to carry on with her life, doing the best she could to support herself. With that being said, I didn’t agree with 95% of the choices she made. She comes off as very petty and naïve, which is something I have always struggled with personality wise in a heroine. I felt like she was almost constantly the damsel in distress, and I wish that she would have been a little more mature, especially towards Kaden.

There are times where I felt the novel was a bit rushed, especially with the plot. I was wishing for some more depth as I feel like there was a lot of action, but not enough of WHY this was happening. With that being said, I think that Sylver did a wonderful job in answering any questions and bringing everything together in such quick paced and shorter novel.

Overall, I think that Fallen for You is a great one-shot paranormal romance read that will keep you on your toes. If you are a fan of the Lux series or the Hush, Hush series, give this a try! There were a few plot twists in there that I did NOT expect and for that, I’m thankful! Pick up a copy of this one for the next rainy day and snuggle up with a cup of tea. Thank me later.

Fallen... Literally 🤫

"Falling changes angels. All the goodness and purity that you have as an angel gets stripped away and replaced with the exact opposite."

Wow, this sweet story surprised me in more ways than I expected. Books that pull me in with the first paragraph are as rare as dragons these days, and Fallen For You is one!
At first, I thought it would be a shifter romance (haven't read the blurb, I choose my books by their covers and reviews), but this turned out much more than anything shifter-like. Unique.

Raven is a strong-willed girl, a student, and she has suffered a lot. Pain seems to follow her throughout the book, and although Raven can sometimes be immature (which I absolutely would ignore considering she's still a dreamy school girl with sad life events, an abusive father and difficult daily trials), her character fitted well with the storyline. It made her feel alive. Real. When Raven discovers the truth about Kaden, she accepts it like any of us – booklovers – would. Like a true dreamer would. I won't spoil it, so I'll stop it here.

The only thing that I felt was missing was the depth of the beginning of Raven's romance and how she grew close with her love interest, BUT it makes much more sense in the second half of the book when her true connection to her lover gets unveiled.

In other words, this is a sweet, sweet paranormal romance. And I feel like it should have a sequel that would explain more about Kaden's past and give more details about how exactly his feelings bloomed. Thank you, Sylver Michaela, for this lovely story! ❤️

This was a pretty easy book to get into, as you get quite curious about the continuation right from the start. We follow Raven, a young teen with a though life, and you instantly feel for this character. We follow her in her day to day life and can’t help but feel sorry for her and wanting her world to change.

And it does, in strange ways.

Initial Thoughts

I met Sylver on Bookstagram and was immediately intrigued with the concept of her debut novel. I applied to be one of her ARC readers and she was kind enough to send a copy along to me. I was super excited to read this book.

Some Things I Liked

Small town TWILIGHT vibes. I loved the setting of this novel and I really enjoyed that it was set in a small town where all the locals seem to know each other.
I also loved the mysterious love interest. Kaden was very Edward Cullen and I really enjoyed that.
Shorter novel. I read this book all in one sitting. I thought it was the perfect length to tell the story and wasn’t too long.

One Thing I Wasn’t Crazy About

I wasn’t crazy about Raven’s home life. I found it unnecessarily violent and tragic. I understand that her home life is difficult, but her father’s treatment of her is not subject matter that I typically enjoy.

Series Value

I think this book worked as a standalone. However, that being said, I’d revisit this world in the form of sequels. I think there is a lot of potential for more stories regarding Kaden’s old life as well as more about Kaden and Raven.

Additionally, I’d read more of Sylver Michaela’s writing. I thought this was a very well done debut and I’d love to see how her writing grows and matures.

Final Thoughts

I really enjoyed this book. Thank you so much to Sylver Michaela for providing me with a review copy. I love finding new indie authors to follow and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Recommendations for Further Reading

Guardian by Darby Cupid – if you enjoyed the idea of guardian angels, try this adult novella by Darby Cupid.
Twilight by Stephanie Meyer – if you liked the small town vibes as well as the theme of a mysterious new guy, try this series.

I received Fallen For You as an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. I am also part of Sylver Michaelas street team for her first book release.

I absolutely loved Fallen For You and the story Sylver crafted. I have never before read a Fallen Angel story, but I absolutely adored it and I'm happy I found a new genre I'm enjoying!

If you know me, I'm really not into romance and I will admit that romance is a big part of Fallen For You, however, I really enjoyed the chemistry between the characters and the love story. I also loved the good/bad binary of Kaden, so first I was totally crushing on him, but then I wasn't sure he was exactly the person we got to meet at first.

On top of that, the story was fast paced and full of action, which is something I always appreciate. There was not a single point in the book which was dragging or boring!

Overall, I absolutely loved it! Thank you so much, Sylver, for letting me read your book before it comes out! I'm so happy I got the chance to read it ♥️ .

When there’s a mysterious murder in her small town, Raven gets nervous. She’s afraid that she’ll be next. Luckily, when she does start getting attacked, the handsome new kid is there to keep her safe. But there’s something different about him… and familiar. Will he be able to keep her safe?

This book was so fun. I loved how all of my suspicions were confirmed, and yet, it wasn’t predictable. In fact, there were times when I was surprised, and the plot was moving quickly enough to keep you on your toes!

Oftentimes, we were in Raven’s head, and her thoughts were all over the place. Maybe that would have bothered other people, but I find it very genuine. It reminded me of how teenage-me (and lets me honest, sometimes adult-me) thought, and so I thought it was were realistic and added so much to making Raven a believable character.

And the ending! Oh my heck. Not something I expected, but it was so perfect. 💕💕💕 I loved everything about this book.

Awww I loved this. I went in completely blind and I'm so glad I did.
But I've gotta say, Raven, girl. I wish I could give you a huge long hug because you went through hell in this book. I was not prepared for any of that. Her story is just so heartbreaking. And all she wants is to be seen. To be loved and accepted.
Ugh her dad though! 🤬

Kaden, ugh, Kaden. I loved him. His character was so sweet...but sometimes I wanted to shake him...like why are you leaving her alone. (So so sorry if that's a bit spoily.)
But I really loved his story.
.
This story is dark. I know, the cover doesn't look it. But it's dark..but so good.
A quick good read that's all worth it in my opinion.

Only thing I would have changed was for a longer ending. An epilogue or something. I just wanted more happy moments with these two.

But this being Sylver's first novel...it was very well done I think.

As soon as I started the story, I was drawn into Raven’s story. I love that Raven isn’t just some normal teenage girl; she has so many different aspects to her life. She’s got real problems that she has to strive through and live with.
I loved this new take on fallen angels. I’ve read my fair share of stories about angels, and honestly I’ve never read something like this before. It was such a great take on it.
I loved it all. It’s perfect for anyone. You like romance? Check. Paranormal? Check. THE MOST EPIC FIGHT SCENES IN THE WORLD??? Check.
For it being Michaela’s first book, I think she did an absolutely amazing job and I can not wait to see what’s in store next for her

Oh my goodness! This book is a new-to-me author and I am absolutely in love!! I could not put it down! Unfortunately I had to work and do some adulting so I wasn’t able to finish it in one day like I wanted to, but every chance I had, this book was in my hands! I won’t give any spoilers, but if you like well-written stories with some magical elements, action, and murder mystery…THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU! The main character really pulls you in. I highly recommend this! I can’t wait to read more of her work!

This book had everything I want when reading a paranormal romance. Since reading Midnight Sun I've been craving all the nostalgia feels I had while reading it. This book did exactly that!

I was completely drawn in from the beginning and yes, I read this in one sitting. I will admit Kaden wasn't my favorite at the start but my mind quickly changed. It's also a fairly quick read so that's a plus.

A really great book, that I highly recommend!

This book is kept me at hooked from start to finish... It’s emotional, romantic and full of suspense!
I found this so easy to read so it didn’t take long at all to finish but that also had a lot to do with the right amount of suspense!
I love the characters as well as the romance between Raven and Kaden, I could have read more!😍
Overall I enjoyed this book, 100% recommend and excited to see what else the author comes out with!
