A quick sci-fi read, Diamond was kidnapped by the Jinggs and given as a slave to their leader. Soon sparks are flying between them. Steamy chemistry and entertaining. I liked it.

OUTSTANDING READ TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH THIS STORY!!! ITS BRILLIANT
I have been waiting to find out Diamonds story and boy was it a brilliant read!!!!
Taken by the Jinggs and given as a slave to their leader Griorr who believes he is gods gift to any female no matter the breed. Diamond fights tooth and nail to escape until they bring out her best friend. Diamond begs Griorr to let her go, she will do anything even bathe him if he just lets her go back home.
Griorr agrees because he is very taken with the golden female in front of him. She is inside his head and he has to fight his inner beast to not take her as his mate. He is happy to have a harem of sexy women prepared to serve his ever whim. But his want for his other slaves is no more. But if he was to take her as his mate everything would change. But He can only think of her.
Diamond fights her feeling for Girorr and wont give in. But when he touch's her she comes alive.
They have some battles but what will happen when they spend more time together.

This is a fantastic, entertaining alien breed/Jinggs romance with a somewhat dark undertone & I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The plot is well-written & really entertaining with some unexpected situations. There is good scene descriptions & world building. The characters are quite unique with their individuality & are attracted to each other even though they are inclined to be confrontational. There are some character crossovers from previous books but this book can be read as a standalone.
There is: a alien female breed (Diamond) is abducted by the Jinggs & promptly given as a slave to their dominate leader (Griorr) who is quite impressed with her but he is unprepared for her confrontational attitude when he tries to tame her, action, drama, intrigue, suspense, abduction, captivity, slavery, defiance, threats danger, violence, conflict, attempted escape, bonding, mates, disagreements, guilt, regrets, confrontations, compromises, contentment, love, steamy scenes & a well-deserved conclusion.

I enjoyed this book, which was fairly light and easy to read. It slightly overlapped, then followed on from the previous book, Pain. I loved Diamonds determination and fight, and found the storyline enjaging, although not particularly a lot of depth to it. Difficult to achieve much depth over such a shortvbook, but I think the character development happens more over the course of the series.
I did feel everything was resolved rather quickly and easily at the end, and it didn't really go into details about how it had been resolved.
I read it reasonably quickly over the course of a day, so it wasn't overly long. I have only read one other book in this series, which was the previous one, and I feel you can read it as a standalone, although I feel like I'm missing some information on other characters and the background storyline.

Diamond is kidnapped by the Jinggs and given as a slave to their leader, Griorr. But she has a strong spirit and swears never to give in to her fate. When Griorr sees her, he is impressed by that courage and fighting spirit, which is good – because she will definitely put him to the test! This battle of wills between them will not go easily for him, but loving females as he does will at least give him a challenge he can have fun with. And when they figure out the meaning of the whispering in their minds, Diamond may be the last and only partner he takes to his bed … she could very well be his mate!
This was a good story in this series that will keep the reader interested and eager to find out if Griorr can actually train his “slave” who has a mind of her own and the spirit to fight for her own dignity. Grab your copy and see how it all turns out!

Battle of the wills ends in more than a sexy connection
Diamond is the fifth book in the Alien Breed series and is the story of Diamond and Griorr in this fast-paced and entertaining alien romance. Well it doesn't start out as a romance but it sure does end up being one. They have a connection that is more than what it appears initially. But they also have a battle of the wills so much so that Griorr is impressed by Diamond as she is determined not to let him break her spirit and fights him at every turn.
This is a fast-paced novella which is a nice addition to the series, of which I have read several.

Absolutely brilliant. I loved the story. Loved how Diamond and Griorr was with each other. I loved the cover too. 5*.

Diamond by Melody Adams was a quick, steamy story about Diamond and Griorr. Diamond is a warrior. Griorr sees her from afar and is quite taken by her. He abducts her as his slave and proceeds to make her his own.
This was a good story, but I found Diamond to be a really irritating character who seemed to only be good at spewing curses. Were it not for that, it would be a great read!!! She does get less belligerent towards the end.

Alien Breed female Diamond is out with Julia collecting samples of plants for Julia to analyze for their properties and usage when they are ambushed by a group of Jingg and Diamond is captured. She is taken back to their underground village to the leader Griorr. He had seen her in the woods and wanted her so he plans to add her to his harem but she is not going to accept that and tries to escape but is unable to find the exits. When Griorr finds her he spanks her and as she keeps fighting has her chained to his throne.

When Diamond and her friend are kidnapped by the Jinggs she fights every step of the way. Griorr is the head of the tribe and obsessed with his new slave, but she will not give in that easily. Even when her body cannot stop wanting to be closer to him. When he begins to win her over things take a tun. Will he give up his harem and commit to Diamond? Can she ever learn to love a male that has kidnapped her? I loved this seeing the first aline breed to find her mate among the Jinggs was fascinating. Being dominant herself Diamond needed a male like Griorr. This is fast becoming one of my favorite series. I cannot wait for the next book.

Griorr’s thought are not clear when it comes to Diamond. He before meeting her he a telepathic connection. She thought it wa “in her head” or someone was “hiding in the bushes “ so to speak. She was held captive when she was protecting her friend as they were collecting plants for research. Griorr knew she was the one. his beast inside wanted to claim her. She is made for him but will fight him tooth and nuts until he understands that sometimes change is good to keep a mate. no cliffhanger but the next breed story is coming soon.

Diamond is out in the forest with Julia when the Jinggs surround them and take them captive. She had been dreaming of someone and dreaming of his voice in head. Griorr had been dreaming of a woman. When they meet it is combustible. He expects her to obey his commands. She is hardheaded. Match made in heaven. Stockholm syndrome? I don't think so. I have read some of the other stories in this series. I think it is the Mate thing. Diamond can hear him in her head a bond she is not aware of yet. It does make me anxious to be a slave or captive (whichever). I hope Diamond fairs well. I think she will. I loved it when she called him a Garden Gnome. Makes me laugh every time. Holy shiznet!!! What a gr8 story. Diamond is one strong woman who takes no shit from anyone. But she meets her match with Grrior. Lots of sex, but still a gr8 story. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up

Book five of the Alien Breed,English Edition series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Diamond is kidnapped by the Jinggs and given as a slave to their leader Griorr, these two will have so much to overcome before they can be together. I've read a lot of books written by Melody Adams; she has done a great job at writing another good book; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

What can I say about this book? I liked it! A lot! A feisty heroin and her also wild, hard, hot alien collide... They are so different and yet so alike. I liked her free spirit, the way she opposed him all the time. And he, as the leader for the tribe, was so arrogant and sure about himself, always taking what he wanted until he met her. :) I have to say, I loved the bath scene as well ;)

Diamond and Grier are comical. You can't help but love her fire for freedom and his ego to keep her. There passion is wonderful, but being from two different places makes them bump heads like no other. Good read to have as well as the rest of the series.

Wow! This book was full of so much action, twists and turns, drama, suspense, humor, surprises and so much more, that I could not put down until the end.
Diamond is given to the Jinggs leader as a slave. This does not go well for either one.....

This was a pretty good read I have to admit they are getting better. I liked the plot and thought Diamond and Griorr were a good fit for each other. If you like and Alien romance then this series is worth a read.

This was a great addition to the series. Loved this interesting storyline. Diamond is a strong willed female but Griorr just might be the stonger of the two. I am enjoying the adventures of the Jinggs and hope there is more to come.

The interaction and chemistry between the characters of Diamond and Griorr is amazing. The storyline is entertaining and filled with action. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.

Well detailed plot. Great characters who were likeable and relatable. Kept my attention from the first page to the last. Lots of drama and twists in the storyline to keep it entertaining.
