Willow had grown up listening to fantactic stories told to her by her grandmother. She had never believed the wild tales her grandmother would spin. Believing they were nothing more than fairy tales, Willow focused on the reality in which she lived. That is, until the day everything in her life changed forever…
Reclusive Emmett had lived decades hiding out with the other lost boys of Shady Oaks. Cloaked in the shadows of the Shady Oaks forest, Emmett and his brother Michael had built a life helping other supernaturals like themselves, while mainting their privacy. However, that all changed the day Willow walked into their morgue.
After the death of her beloved grandmother, Willow finds herself in the hands of Emmett -- a lost boy who she had seen around her small hometown of Shady Oaks, but had never met. Now, she threatens to unleash his secret to the humans of Shady Oaks and her life is now in his hands.
Will Emmett be able to let go of Willow? Will the secrets of the supernaturals in Shady Oaks finally come to light? Find out in this epic twist on the classic tale of Peter Pan.
This was a good read and the beginning was a little slow but once I got into the story. I loved Willow character and her history of all the stories her grandmother told her about the town even as a child she didn't believe. Then came Emmett and Micah and all there friends which made the story so interesting and good and I have to say I loved the end of this book. It was intense and well I just love when authors keep the story line fresh and interesting and well written too.

A trip back to Shady Oaks that of course does not disappoint. This time with a different spin on the classic Peter Pan tale. We join Willow and Emmett, along with other familiar names, as they go up against the captain. It was so easy to sit down and get lost in Michelle’s writing that I finished it in two sittings. I’m really looking forward to more in the Shady Oaks universe!

a nice YA story with many paranormal elements in it. Discovering supernaturals frightens Willow but when she gets to know them she starts to appreciate them. Emmett in particular makes her heart beat faster.
