T o o l o n g ....................

I liked this book although I found it to be a little drawn out . Another issue I had , and please no haters , there was no sex in any of these books ! Sorry about the spoiler but if I had known that I wouldn't have read them . If I'm reading a novel about a girl fulfilling a prophecy through sex ...well... I expect sex ! Well duh !! Anyhoo , it was still pretty good .

Its been years since I've read an implied chemistry

'The Choice' is the third book in Samantha Snow's "House of Vampires" series. Lorena, a necromancer, is the holder of thr Prophecy running through her veins. In order to bring magic back to the world she must bear a child from the blood of Vlad the Impaler. Her problem, among others, is she wants to love the person she chooses, not have them forced on her. With four sons to choose from, I had expected to encounter at least some physical chemistry by now but Ms. Snow holds the crown for the longest slow burn I've ever read. The storyline is intriguing with all the twists and turns of a plot worthy to hold the description of good vs. evil. I'm onto book four soon.

Now before I get started , I want to say the storyline is fairly decent and has potential to be WAY better . but I feel like she dragged on a lot of details or went back to reiterate details that she already spoke of and I got a little frustrated because I kept thinking “ I know that , I read it Already I don’t know why you’re mentioning it five other times within the next three chapters, I didn’t forget” which in turn caused the story to seem longer but unfortunately lackluster as a result . The chemistry was off with the characters I will say that I couldn’t figure out who the heck she wanted and I couldn’t figure out if this was an RH or not . The main female lead sorely lacked some character growth , though she tried in growing her character I just felt like she reverted right back to being kind of annoying ? I felt like she whined too much when It came to her “childhood” and I don’t like the way she spoke , dude this and dude that the verbiage was a turn off and she came off as childish . I know at the end of book 4 Vlad did have a point of view chapter but it wasn’t said that it was him and I was like what the heck is going on and then it clicked like oh okay odd ? Since it has been pretty much the female leads POV but okay ? I stuck it out for 4 books praying that it could get better but I just couldn’t do it anymore after 4 books there wasn’t much movement as far as plot more like lingering details that prolonged the story which wasn’t necessary. Also there was so many misspelled words , I don’t know if the editor just didn’t read the book or something but lord .

Wei & epic battle let down

Books carryover read in order. Each book builds on the Characters and storyline. This is book 3 and I've been pulled into the story however there is so much filler words I found my self skipping to find the actual story. Because little happens in the form of progressing the story and a lot all at once( I know doesn't make sense but it's what this book made me feel) I'm becoming disinterested. Then at the end of this book huge question with Vlad ( by the way creepy dude) the end. But it gets better bc I read the synopsis for book four and I now understand why there are so many books in this series...This story/ world building doesn't move quickly! After the quest to find out if Wei is alive or dead and everything to get this answer the next book pretty much goes in a different direction!?!? Ok on that note I'm done with this series. These books could have been epic and up there with all the great paranormal romance books out there but it missed the mark! 2 gracious stars bc truly this book caused me more anxiety reading it then enjoyment. Mic drop this series is done for me!✌️

Had potential

The story has had potential so far but I'm not continuing the series. The author needs better beta readers because the book is filled with grammatical errors. To the point of not being able to decipher what is meant to be said. I think she might even dictate her writing because the word on the page sounds like the word she meant to use.

The storyline is just ok. She put a lot of thought and detail in her world building but the story doesn't captivate me. For a reverse harem, it is seriously lacking smexy times by the 3rd book in. This feels more YA, lack of cussing and no sexiness. Insults in the book sound more like a playground insult.

Absolutely satisfying end to the trilogy

Yes it’s a story for a teenager. My inner teenager loved it. There is no sex or curses. There is, However, a really good story with a very likable heroine. In the end it is a very romantic, thrilling story of a strong woman taking control of her life. I recommend this trilogy to everyone, especially teenagers.

Oh my! Quickie 3

This book I loved. I would send it to my friends, relatives (some), and send them book #1 and book #2. You are on your own. I think I saw at least up to book #44. I'm sure if the books are as funny, interesting in a weird way, to the last book, you will see me hanging with this author. This is a great series that I will review in Goodreads.

House of Vampires 3: The Choice (The Sons of Vlad Series)

Another cliffhanger??? Good story but I just think there should be a better way to sell books. If I enjoy the book enough to read then I will more than likely buy the next book, without the intimidation.
It is an excellent series though and one I would recommend! Just beware that it is a cliffhanger!

There was one review that said the story was inconsistent. I can see in this book especially where that could be the case. Her first action as a witch, she exploded some windows. But later in the same home she could not blast a wall or anything else. Also, once she was be to draw the life out of a Human and use the energy for the dead, but was not able to do so with her sister. these are only two of the examples, but what I can say is that beside this and the small handful of grammatical errors, this is a great story with great characters.

I actually chalk up the inconsistencies to her inexperience. Papa Vamp and the fam were new to this story and lived up to the reputation they leave in their wake. I know this story is far from over, but I was a bit disappointed that the pregnant girl on the cover of book 3 had nothing to do with book 3. I want to enjoy the story, but I am so excited what will happen next, I am literally sleep deprived reading into the night and having to het up early for work in the morning. On to book 4!

Paranormal Mills and Boon

I read all 3 parts and it read to me like a paranormal Mills and Boons written in the modern feminist geek formula. Author started of strong and I was interested in seeing relationships grow but by the second book it had lost all depth and the just kept getting looser. I wish it had been more because I was interested . So if you want to read a quick ,boring , full-of-plotmines paranormal barely-a-romance this is for you.

I have now read books 1-7, and here are my thoughts. It was a great idea, but mediocre execution. Many of the plot twists I was able to figure out before they happened. Some story lines are just completely dropped leaving us hanging. And goodness me all the FREAKING TYPOS were like someone used talk to text for the whole book and never went back to check. Overall I found it to mildly entertaining and only went as far as I did because I am stubborn like that.

I liked the series but the last book was a disappointment. It had such a great buildup and the fighting was on point and then it just skipped a whole lot of what happened in between and that was it. It gave an idea on what happened to the characters but it all felt rushed and some of it didn’t fit.

I can't stand a Fickle protagonist

I absolutely loved this series and thought it was going to be an epic love story but it turns out that Lorena is fickle and can't make up her own mind.
I think this must be one of those reverse harem books that I avoid. It's too bad because it could have been a good romance.
I won't read another in this series.

Ok

It’s an ok series. Is it going to change the world? No. But I like a strong female lead and I appreciated the unconventional relationships depicted. There were some typos and misspellings throughout the series. A good editor would make this a four star review.

Although there are 48 books in this series, they read pretty quickly, so they aren't lengthy novels but end on cliffhangers.

We begin this 3rd book with Lorena. She feels very bad for herself as she has just discovered Wei's death. Her family's renounce doesn't go as planned in light of her recent tragedy.

This book is Avery is my adventure into the I know and becomes more fantasy based as it delves into spirits that can only be imagined. I admire Lorena's strength and heart. Once Vlad, the Impaler, gets involved, this book takes an intriguing turn.

Wow, this book was so good, but of course, I find a spelling oops in the middle of an action scene. You can figure out the correct word if you read that sentence a few times. I don't mind the quips and chatter between the witches, and I love how sassy they are.

Lorena is a sassy kick-butt heroine, but the author resolves one issue finally, not that the act was committed or described; at least we know the choice or choices. Then the author jumps to Vlads pov and goes down a side track for a chapter ending with an oddity. I'm still determining where she plans to your this in the next book, but I'm done reading this.

I can find a better vampire romance that isn't so riddled with nonsense. I did love that these are short reads for as many books as there are in this series but seeing as we are focusing on different things in every book be

I have decided, quite easily I might add, that I am not continuing with this series. First of all, I feel like a lot of the tags for it are just wrong at least for the first 3 books. There's a girl and she has to choose one of the men, but labeling these as reverse harem is just wrong at this point. There hasn't been one bit of sexy time in any of the books yet...just a little kissing. As far as the first 3 go they just need to be tagged fantasy. These are on the level of YA fantasy too, so far there is nothing adult happening and when the main female character acts and speaks like a 14 year old...well, you get my point! The plot has potential, but dragging it out like this is just stupid I think. I read over 500 pages in just a few days and it still went nowhere really. It's not enough to make me want to continue, for sure. Also, side note, these could really benefit from some good old fashioned editing...just saying!

Wow!

I didn't see that coming. An army of witches, vampires and necromancers. Wow that's is so magical?
I love it the way Lorena work out the thing with her dad, when she found out Zane was trap in a pocket dimension with others witches and save him. She after learn that Zane is in love with her. Lorena fights with her own sister and that doesn't end well for Connie. Finally she finds her beloved Wei and he not really well. I won't say another spoliers. Ok.
This series are amazing , they make travel into another reality into your own pocket dimension I find that amazing.
Thank you Samantha Snow for this awesome word. I will like to read more about this amazing charaters.

WONDERFUL!

While it pains me to do so, in all good conscience I can not give the House of Vampires novels more than four stars. Why, if they are so good? Obviously something is bringing me back time after time, and it's not just the irritating cliffhanger at the end of each book! It must be the engaging heroine and her interesting vampires, or perhaps it's the unique storyline line and titillating dialogue. Whatever is keeping me not just interested, but practically tethered - great job, Ms. Snow! Again, The Choice might not rate five stars at thus juncture however, this installment is a strong plus four.

The end...

Literally, the end...is absolutely amazing. After flying through this 3 book series within 48 hours, I am so disappointed it’s over, but at the same time the ending was so great that I can’t help but be happy that it turned out the way it did. This book sees so many loose ends neatly tied up and several HEA’s for characters I’ve quickly grown to love. This was a fantastic series and I’m really happy the author chose to advertise it on FB because I probably never would have found it otherwise! Definitely worth reading.

Fascinating

This trilogy was fast paced and surprising. Lorena is a witch with prophecy to fulfill to bring magic back into the world. She is supposed to choose a vampire and have his child as part of the prophecy. She meets family members who betray and others who redeem. She fights evil wizards, witches, hags and demons. My favorite helper is a cat, because every witch should have one. Love finds a way and wins over all.

Fantastic Written!!!!!!

Well this story just keeps getting more and more intriguing. Lorena is becoming stronger and stronger. She is becoming the person she is destined to be. We get to see a side of Zane that we didn’t get to see previously. This was interesting with the introduction of Valad and his family. It is well written and is jammed packed with action and drama. It is definitely worth reading and not disappointing!!!!!

House of Vampires 3 by Samantha Snow is a 4 ⭐️ read.
Ok this story has pulled me right in, I went from not sure if I wanted to carry on reading to not being able to read fast enough.
Book 3 finds Lorena fighting for not only her life but the people she cares about all while trying to decide if she wants to be a part of the prophecy and to make things worse Vlad, the original vampire has shown up and decided he wants Lorena to be wife number 4.

After reading other reviews, I wanna warn serious readers to move on. This series is not great literature. These books are just fun and sexy. They are for female readers to feel the thrill of the fantasy of being wanted by multiple men. Who wouldn't want to be wanted by a bunch of hot guys?!? Also, clearly, this author identifies as a nerd. So, don't expect the main character to "grow." She is who she is and that is the joy of being dorky, not basic.

Intriguing series.

So I’m really irritated that this book just stops for no apparent reason. These are not separate books, just a single book someone chopped up to make more money. I like the story line, but I have to say there is Absolutely no spice at all. The closest you get to spice is making out. It was billed as a spicy series. I’m still waiting. I’ll read the next book and see whether I’ll continue from there.

Wow

Okay so it definitely was very unexpected. I have never read a book with that ending. I definitely don’t hate it, but it’s a new thing for me to read. Ahhh let me just say this story was so beautiful and amazing and heartbreaking and it was at the same time. I actually did cry near the end.
