Dear Rachel,
It’s been a while since I wrote you. So much has changed, but some things never will. I still love you more than my own life, and you are still the strength that keeps me going…my oasis in the wilderness. I am never happier, freer, more alive or more complete than when I am with you.

This one is definitely going on my top favorite list. I thought it was a great story. And while I absolutely adored the H, Jason, I wanted to throttle the h, Rachel a time or 2. Not saying her feelings weren't warranted but when you got a hot, younger military man who is head over heels crazy for you...jump on them bones baby! Made an excellent story though.
-virgin H, celebate h (yes, you read that right, hero was a virgin and heroine was not)
-dual POV
-no abuse
-no cheating
-widowed h
-he's always loved her
-h pushed away a little
-epilogue at about 1 year out
If you don't mind reading about a widower and you can deal with an H who is totally in love, check this one out. You won't be sorry.

Jason Hamilton was the hero that took the cake. His love for Rachel was one that surpassed time and was so beautifully portrayed. I will not giveaway anything about this story as it is magnificent, but be prepared for some angst, sexy as hell times, and one determined soldier to come back and get the woman he always knew would be his!
This story had me turning pages faster than I could keep up with! I absolutely loved this story, and give it a million stars! Also, the love notes omg just everything!

Too young? But knows what he wants.
He's loved her since he was 14, but she was 24 and married, then widowed, he held when she cried, she needed someone to care, they talked about everything, they were good good friends. Now he's 24, coming home from one of the toughest experiences of his life, he wrote her constantly, about what he was going through in the war, he told of his feelings for her and what he planned to do when he came home. He didn't mail them, just kept them, writing her kept him sane. Now he's home and the pursuit is on for the one he wants the most, his reason to keep living. She's cared about him but never really thought about how intense they were until he advances. He's the pastor's son and younger, she fights her feelings, but gives in. The concerns of the age and him being the town's golden boy(man). He will fight tooth and nail to keep her. The love they have is undeniable.

In life what are the ages of the people you date? Younger or older than you? So you take a young Fireman......a woman......an older Widowed woman, that is.......gossip, because of course, there is that....and what do you get? A great read! I got so involved with this book, cheering them on or moaning in all the wrong places. hahaha With my DIL a puma a cougar is doable in my mind. Ms Paulin always draws one in that you feel you are the characters. A great start to a series!

This book was incredible! I absolutely love a OW/YM trope and this delivered. I have quickly become a Brynn Paulin Fan, and this is now one of my favs of hers. I highly recommend it! Go check it out.
