Karma is her name. Flint is his name. They are destined to set each other on fire!!!
FLINT is the first book I have read by Brynn Hale and I enjoyed this fast-paced, action packed, romantic, funny, sweet, infuriating and sizzling sexy short story. This story is about Karma Moreno, a twenty-eight year old lawyer and Flint Durham, a thirty-nine year old ex Navy SEAL and CIA Special Operations Group who now owns and runs Durham Guided Hikes and the Emerald Lodge.
The law firm that Karma works for, where she was the EEOC hire as she is a woman and a minority, is doing a retreat at the Emerald Lodge which includes daily hikes. She is on the retreat as she is expecting an announcement that she is being offered partnership in the firm, which she has been working towards even though she dislikes the firm and most of the other male partners. But she has responsibilities in her life as her parents have died and she has been caring for her younger brother Marco, as he has Down Syndrome. Marco is great as he is high functioning so that means he has a job at a pet store, has friends that he sees, and also there is Ben who lives with them and helps care for Marco.
When Flint sees Karma she awakens something in him that has been locked away for a long time. He has scars from him time as a SEAL but especially as a SOG. That is why he retreated to the Diamond Ridge Mountains to live a quiet life away from everyone. But a man needs to still make money so he started the Durham Guided Hikes which became successful. Then a friends with money approached him about starting a lodge. The friend stays silent and Flint manages it for an equity stake.
Karma and Flint have a real pull towards each other that they are able to explore, including a very romantic and explosive night together where Karma finally loses her V-card.
This story is really well written and engaging and the characters and situations are fun and interesting, keeping my attention the whole time. This may be the first book I have read by Brynn Hale but it definitely will not be the last. I would recommend this book and author to other readers also!

Flint is the second book in Brynn Hale’s Rescued-Diamond Ridge Mountain Men series. In this enjoyable instant-love romance, Ms. Hale introduces readers to two charismatic lead characters—Karmalyn “Karma” Moreno and Flint Durham. She is a lawyer who is underappreciated by her colleagues. She was hired to check off the boxes for equal opportunity. She is a woman and a minority. But that is as progressive that the firm is. Her bosses are chauvinists. The firm took their lawyers on a retreat to a Diamond Ridge Mountain lodge. Karma tries to ignore the sexual and gender harassment from her teammates, but it wears on her emotionally. She is so unhappy. Hence, she tries to enjoy the outdoors for solace and healing. Flint is their hiking guide. When Flint and Karma meet there is an instant and electrifying attraction. The verbal abuse directed toward Karma infuriates Flint. Will he put a stop to it? Will Karma find happiness with Flint?
I enjoyed this sweet instant attraction romance. I enjoyed this fast-paced and action-packed character driven plot. Ms. Hale’s lead characters are solid. I like how we they evolve. I enjoyed her vivid scenes. In particular, the descriptive scenes involving the bear they ran into while hiking. I was riveted to it. I think Ms. Hale does an excellent job in capturing the atmosphere of sexual and gender harassment in the workforce. As disgusting as it is, it is important for readers to be aware that it still exists. Ms. Hale’s exposure helps to educate readers. Well done, Ms. Hale.

Karmalyn ( Karma ) is a corporate lawyer she’s on a retreat with the boys club the only female in a 16 men business but she’s worked her 5 years and going on this retreat she’s hoping to be made partner. Flint is in charge of the long distance hiking all of the men are grumbling and not keeping up everyone but her Karma the beautiful woman who has curves for miles, Flint was a seal then he was recruited by the special operations his mission was compromised and he was left for dead but luckily for him 3 locals got him to safety now he’s out and Flint owns Durham Guided Hikes and Tours and the Emerald Lodge where Karma and her workmates are staying. Karma comes running up to catch up with the others and Flint would like to put his hands around her waist she is sexy then Karma asks Flint if he wants to go for a drink later and Flint’s smile lights up his whole face. That’s just the beginning of this fantastic story I enjoyed it immensely and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

This is the second book in this great fun series These books take less than an hour to read and always have plenty of steam The question in these books is it than hero rescuing the heroine when she finds her self in danger or is it in fact her rescuing him from his past and memories

Tender, simple with a touch of machismo

It's a simple and rather tender romance. The point about the heavy harassment, the salacious remarks of the hierarchical superiors, is interesting, in front of Karma who is far from being a sweet lamb, but who as soon as she turns her head is mocked by the associates of the company. The retreat with the company's partners in the Flint's hiking company, is a real revealer of what she wants and what she doesn't want.

Great read
This book was so good. Flint is a retired Seal. He now owns lodge that includes hiking. Karma is on a business trip with a bunch of stuff lawyers from the law firm she works for. These two want a night of passion. Which they both deserve. It was good and fun to read. I liked that a bear chases them. They both need to be healed from old wounds. Can they leave the past in the past in order to have a future?

Really enjoyed this book
Enjoyed reading about Karma and Flint. Karma's firm she worked for did a weekend retreat, all men but her. Let's say all stupid, rude and crude men. She was at the end of her rope. Flint's life hard been all about being a SEAL and CIA or whatever company it was. They were so good evening each other out. Overall this was a very good book, thanks. Written by Cindy :)

That story was sweet and steamy. Without drama, just good old romance. totally safe and romantic. A great book for a cozy evening. Flint finally found his one and Karma could finally kick her awful job to the curb. HEA and insta love who needs more??!!

This is a sweet and sexy story about finding love when you least expect it. Flint and Karma are cute together. The story is short and it did feel somewhat rushed at the end. I wish there would have been more communication between them once they realized there was no one else but each other.

The mountains are his escape from his past. She is tired of not getting any recognition for her work. One meeting changes everything. Will they be each others salvation?
Loved the connection between these two. Absolutely loved when she finally had enough and stood up for herself. Loved how he was determined to protect her. Good quick read!

Great book.
Flint had his own lodge and hiking tours.
Karma's office book a reservation for a retreat and she was trying to make partner for the firm. But the men were tough on her.
Flint wanted her to stay but she had her brother who had down syndrome to take care of.
During the trip her life changed for the better and she started a new life with Flint.

A quick read about karma, A curvy lawyer on A weekend retreat bonding with their mountain man guide. Both with pasts that hold them in place unable to move forward. Yet together see a light towards a future. A sweet romance in a rustic setting.

Mountain love
I love this insta love book. Karma was on a retreat from work where she meant Flint. They both had things they were in need of overcoming. Once they were able to get together they wanted their forever. I love this series. Can’t wait to see what else comes of it

Sweet book!
Karma is on a retreat with the people she works with and they are jerks. Flint is their tour guide and he likes Karma. This is a quick Insta-love book. I'm a little disappointed though...SPOILER...that Karma didn't cuss out her boss.

AMAZING! A fantastic, well written read. An intense storyline that holds your attention as you get caught up in the fierce twists and hot chemistry. Plenty of excitement and emotionally heartfelt. A thrilling must read.
