I blew it! I had my chance with the woman of my dreams, and I let her slip through my fingers. Now, I can’t get the sassy, know-it-all scientist Heather Sinclair off my mind even though I’m the furthest thing from hers. I made one mistake, and she won’t let me live it down. Her cold shoulder isn’t enough to keep me away though, especially when I find out her life is in danger. I must convince her to give me a second chance or I might not be able to keep her safe.
Then the unexpected happens, and our lives change forever…
And now she’s slipping even more from my grasp. Losing her is simply not an option, especially now.
Will fate give us another chance, or will I end up being just another wrong Mr. Right?

I just have to bring this up... Seeing on a jellyfish sting is a myth. Actually, it might make it worse. Although, I understand the use of the myth for the storyline. However, lots of people take what they read at face value.
Treatments for Jellyfish sting:
*Remove visible tentacles with fine tweezers. Pluck them out carefully if you can see them. Don’t try to rub them off.
*Wash tentacles off with sea water and not fresh water. Fresh water may actually trigger the release of more venom if any tentacles still remain on the skin.
*Apply a pain-relieving ointment like lidocaine to the sting, or take an over-the-counter painkiller like ibuprofen (Advil).
*Use an oral or topical antihistamine like diphenhydramine (Benadryl) if you think you may be allergic to the sting.
*Do not rub your skin with a towel, or apply a pressure bandage to the sting.
*Rinse and soak the sting with hot water to reduce the burning sensation. Taking a hot shower right away, and keeping a stream of hot water on your skin for at least 20 minutes, may be helpful. The water should be around 110 to 113°F (43 to 45°C). Remember to remove tentacles first before doing this.
*Get to a hospital immediately if you have a severe or life-threatening reaction to a jellyfish sting. A more serious reaction will need to be treated with jellyfish antivenin. This is only available at hospitals. ~2023 Healthline Media LLC
This had to much tell and not enough show. What I read made me dislike Heather as she came across as very judgmental and unwilling to listen. Jace seemed irresponsible when he allowed a 12 year old to surf in "some of the angriest seas he'd seen". As a lifeguard, wasn't it his responsibility to keep people away from such dangers? This one's not for me.
A beautiful love story of not giving up on your dreams and love!!! Jace is all wrong for me Heather thinks in her mind not her heart. All Jace wants and needs is Heather. These two fight their attraction at every turn. Then mother nature steps in with a tropical storm. Stranding these two on an island to wait for a rescue. Sparks and words fly and feelings are acted upon. They finally keep each other warm. After being rescued their relationship is full on fun, hot and sexy!!! Then they discover Heather is in danger. Jace will protect with his life. Then the truth comes out and Heather is now safe. Now these two can start their HEA breathing safe. For now surprises are around the corner.
Cute, easy and entertaining summer romance read with a HEA, how can you go wrong? Heather and Jace never could seem to get their stars to align and with Heather's rocky past they had a hard time getting together. Once together the sparks flew, they turned a bad situation into the best really long first date. K.L. Ramsey keeps you entertained with spicy scenes and keeps you on your toes with exciting plot twists.
this was a really great book! he had her and than he messed up. one mistake and now she wont talk to him. he wont give up though. now she is in danger and he will protect her. will these two get back together? read to find out what happens.
I think this 2nb book in the Second Chance Summer series was better than the first book! I liked the characters & their story and sure didn't expect the mid story plot twist!
