“For His Glory…These three words are the heartbeat and re-demp-tion is the pulse of E-phe-sians, aka “the queen of the epistles,” and can be summarized in three simple words: sit, walk, stand. Ephesians’ overarching message confronts and contradicts the quip that God helps those that help themselves. Instead, Ephesians emphasizes that God redeems those who trust in Christ.
The entire epistle of Ephesians expresses God’s rescue mission initiated and completed in His Son, Jesus Christ. Only He can release us from captivity to Satan’s schemes, sin, and shame and restore us to our identity as His glorious masterpiece! “therefore” bridge over which we walk worthy from BEING called to FULFILLING our calling.
