The first round is for practice. The second round is for keeps.

She was everything Ben ever wanted. But time, distance, and jealousy made it impossible.

Now they’re adults, Evie is back in town after college graduation, and Ben never once let go of what he knew was meant to be.

Back together in the gym where it all began, Ben and Evie train hard and create sparks that will either start a brand new blaze, or an out of control wildfire that destroys everything in its path.

Preparing for the biggest fights of their lives, training to ensure they’re the best, and rekindling something hot and destined takes a lot of work, but this couple is in it to win.

Failure is not an option.

The conclusion to Ben and Evie's story was exactly what I was hoping for. Emilia hit it out of the park again with this one. Book 1 left me wanting more and I got exactly that. I was afraid with how Wildcard ended that this whole book would be about them being afraid to start over but nope. Got that all wrong and I am so glad. Book starts off with a bang and it holds you captive the entire time. I couldn't put it down. I loved how Evie was still wild and out of control because that is who she is but she also grew up and matured quite a bit, both of them did. And Ben was still the reasonable, responsible rock that kept Evie balanced. These two were night and day from the first book in more than just their emotional maturity, holy hotness smoke show. This book gave me all the feels - joy, heart break, and laughing my butt off. I don't think I have laughed this hard without a Bishop in the book in a very long time. So good. And then in typical Emilia fashion there is an underlying story that will probably play out in all of the Stacked Deck books and I can't wait to see it all unfold.

Reasons why Emilia Finn has become one of my favorite authors: she gave me an entire book about my favorite characters being their dumb funny loyal selves.

I jump up from my chair and push Ben into it, then I crawl into his lap, and when he stops, looks into my eyes, and grins, I press a kiss to his lips and feel the flutter in my heart because somehow, after years and years of friendship and wondering and insecurity, we’re right here, happy, and secure.

No, but seriously. When i found out that Benevie would have a duet i panicked because that's what emilia does best; it makes it seem like everything is fine around 50% and then boom, it hits you with something else. but after she said we thought of this book as kit and bobby's and wildcard's "hopeful" ending, i relaxed... a little.

In the end this book ended up being everything i expected and more. We were finally able to see a little more of Evie and Ben's growth, individually and as a couple. As i said in my review of the previous book, they were two immature and scared teenagers in their first relationship, hence their behaviors. But now we could see how far they progressed from that moment, the fact that they both acknowledged their fault in why it didn't work the first time, how the two of them were willing to make their relationship work and really talk about those things that bothered them, about their insecurities, fears, dreams, etc. It was a really sweet and soft book, with some cute domestic scenes that to some might seem rushed but not to them, and without losing the quality and personality of the characters along the way.

As for the plot, I love the importance of family, friendship and loyalty in all these books, I really think it is something beautiful and worth appreciating. And the fact that they were all willing to leave everything behind and start basically from scratch for Mac... I could cry. Which brings me to my next point: I'M SO READY FOR THE NEXT BOOK. Seriously, two friends mutually pinning for each other but too scared to take the next step... Mac and Bean are really gonna serve.

I’m reminded again that my family is what is most important to me, and my family includes Mac and Ben. I didn’t create a tournament to help a buddy right the wrongs that had been forced down upon him. I thought I did it because I wouldn’t be able to fight while he was on the outside of the cage, watching on. I did it because Mac is my family, and I wouldn’t have been able to eat my Christmas breakfast knowing that I could have made things better with nothing more than spine and a little hard work.

Also, i'm so glad that Evie and Nora have finally had their heart to heart moment. Hopefully now people will leave behind their retrograde and misogyny minds to understand that she wasn't the one to blame for what happened between Ben and Evie, and will give her a chance so I can have a book about her being happy with her new puppy and overcoming her fears and traumas.

P.S. special mention to the fact that Emilia continues to write new books in this universe without ruining her previous characters i love that for me

This book waited until page 15 to mention the fact that Evie is dyslexic - but only with numbers, so there’s that. This one had more of a storyline that was interesting but it didn’t hook me enough to read the other 9 books in this series. The rest of the books are about characters that fell flat in the first two of the series. Hopefully each one gets better but I’m not sticking around to find out any more than I already did.

caramel swirl!

I’ve read all of Emilia’s books multiple times and I saw hints of people in this book you learn more about in much later books. I love her writing style and I recommend these books to anyone! While you can start this series without reading prior books I highly recommend starting with the original Rollers just so you can love the idea of falling in love!

liked it.

Evie and Ben’s story has a lot about the fight world in it. Yes I know they’re fighters lol. Evie is tough in everything but she’s insecure with her relationship with Ben. You see them grow and change from scared teens to young adults. I really liked it.

Reshuffle picks up where Wildcard ends. This continuation picks up with Ben and Evie being adults and Evie bringing home her new boyfriend and having to make a choice between the two.

Evie is home for good with her family, friends and Ben. They end up training together again and give their relationship a second chance.

But when Evie has plans to start her own fight business to give her friend a fighting chance, are Ben and her solid enough or can the ex come in between again?

Better Than the First? Maybe?

Evie asked Ben to ask her out. That right there made my heart squeal, things were finally getting back on track.

Then there's the whole fight-circuit and them declaring Mac couldn't fight. But the "fearsome foursome" couldn't be denied, so now it's up to the next generation to create something new.

I really enjoyed this book for reasons different from the first. While there was still that question of "will they," "won't they," there was this whole other factor - the new circuit.

So, to avoid any spoilers, you'll just have to read to find out what happens with Ben and Evie.

I really enjoyed reading about the fighting itself. Outside of watching WWE wrestling as a kid (Hulk Hogan was my favorite), and that horrid Mayweather vs Logan Paul fight, my knowledge on the subject is beyond limited. I didn't need any knowledge to enjoy the read though. It was exciting, energizing, and I'm not ashamed to admit I refused to sleep until the final punch was thrown.

I had my moments of anxiety, especially with Reid and "Iowa," and can say with absolute certainty that I cannot wait to see what happens next.

Also, #TeamBen

True sports romance PERFECTION !!!

As an avid romance reader I always look forward to Emilia’s books - she strikes the balance between romance and story so beautifully well and leaves you feeling happy and content..... but sad that you’ve finished so fast (no such thing as putting down one of these books until you’ve reached the very last page.....).

This is the concluding story of Ben and Evie but also an exciting new beginning for the Rollin next Gen.... and both are interwoven in a story that leaves you on the edge of your seat.... rooting for your favourites and for the underdogs. The side characters really add to the story and whether you’ve been there since the beginning and know them all or just starting your Rollin journey.... you’ll love them all 😆

The kind of book you wish you could read again for the first time.... over and over again! Cannot wait for the next book....

I have to admit, I didn’t think I was going to get into this book much. The first book was about Evie and Ben’s career in fighting and their love/relationship.
So those two plots were always evolving and kept me entertained.

However, this book was not really about that at all. It was about starting a new circuit for others and pretty much starting their own business within the fighting realm. Honestly, that didn’t interest me and I was worried when I started reading it. I read the first 2-3 chapters and felt “meh” about it.

But after I kept reading and got more into the story, I really enjoyed it and the drama that came with it. It was a sweet story and had the typical fighting scenes in it for each character (Bean and Mac as well).

Sadly, this did not have many intense intimate moments with Ben and Evie. That sucked, but their love grew stronger throughout the book which was sweet💕

Definitely reading the next book in the series! I am excited to read about Bean and Mac!!!

Stacked Deck is just plain amazing!

After reading each of Emilia’s books, I think this is one of my favorites to date. While Stacked Deck is centered around Ben and Evie’s relationship, it also brings back so many of the original Rollers in more than cameo appearances and gives us a pretty good introduction to many of the Next Generation as adults or near adults. Some intriguing new faces are introduced that I hope will play bigger roles in future books.

I love the new maturity both Ben and Evie bring to this second chance, and how they decide to work hard at communicating. It’s a huge difference from where they were at the end of book 1.

This book brings some laughs, a good amount of steam, heart tugging emotions, and so much more. Stellar reading experience that makes me so excited for Mac and Bean’s (Lucy) book. ❤️

Wildcard & Reshuffle review. I loved Ben and Smalls story. One of my favorites. I don’t understand why she had to go so far away to college. It was not an alma mater, she didn’t have a scholarship, she wasn’t academically gifted sooo why so far away and not a closer school like Lucy? It was a thing to just provide a breakup. The breakup was one of my worst troupes misunderstanding/miscommunication/immaturity but the way they remained loyal and still loved each other was great. Their second chance was great and how they learned to communicate better. Smalls definitely needed to mature because she was a spoiled brat and it was nice to see her mature and learn how to not be so selfish and self centered.

I just love Ben 🥰

I have read everything Emilia Finn has written. I have loved them all. Saying that, this is not my favorite of her books. I say that because I don’t love 2nd generation stories. I have a hard time thinking of kids we see grow up in other books and then they get their own book. And suddenly they are adults. Doing adult things. But even saying that, it’s a great story. The humor and character development which are two of my fav things in Emilia’s book are there. I’ll definitely be waiting on the next one even if reading it makes me feel like a dirty old woman! Lol

Incredible!

Once again, I’m reeling from the heart break and heart attacks! Benvie is my new couple to love! Mrs. Finn has once again made me love characters as though they were real people. Mac and Bean are next and I CANNOT wait. Nora’s appearance was needed and appreciated. Bringing Reid back was thrilling and scary but also needed. But I think my favorite thing about this book was the original Rollers still loving, living and laughing. Bobby will always be my first love with Biggie a close second. Jimmy,Jack, Kit, Tina, Izzy, Tink.....oh how I have missed these people! THANK YOU EMILIA FINN!!

I loved this book. I really liked the love, the banter, he smack talk back and forth with all of these characters. The love that they have for each other and theirs families just gets to you. Even though it did not have as much or any drama like in the Checkmate Series, I still so enjoyed reading about the next generation of the Rolling on kids. I start off reading my first Emilia Finn book with the Checkmate series and was hooked. Now while I wait for Mac and Bean’s story in the next Stacked Deck series I can start at the very beginning in where it all got started.
These are truly greats reads if you haven’t read them yet.

Ben & Evie

Am I the only who could feel their love through reading 😩 Emilia, you always come out swinging with all these books. My poor heart has been through it all. Evie & Ben, the power couple alright. Evie, Ben, Bean & Mac— we’re talking about unbreakable here. Btw, please read the book before this one before reading reshuffle. The OG’s and now the NEXT GEN — I love reading about the Kincaids. The drama, the love... this family is everything & so much more. And I’m content with how things ended with Ben & Evie. I can’t wait to continue this journey to Bean & Mac. Ugh, I’m so hopelessly in love with these characters 😂

Should’ve known this was a two-parter

Now that I know this is a two book series and have completed the entire story, I’m much happier with the overall writing. I was really disappointed with the first book for a lot of reasons, but all the of them were addressed in this second half. Now I’m invested and want to read Bean and Mac’s story next. If you go into it knowing the first book is very “teenage” and this second book is the “adult” counterpart where all of the character development happens, then I think you’ll be happier. I’d recommend this my friends. I even got into the fighter trope, that’s a first for me.

Absolute Must Read!

I don’t know how this author has written this many books, all in the same world, and she blows me away more each time. The story is never a repeat. They never feel formula based. The characters always make some smile, or make me angry. Sometimes they frustrate me, but they always chase a reaction. I am always emotionally invested. I love this crazy, huge extended family. Ben and Evie were given the books they have deserved for a long time and they were both 5 star! I can’t wait to read about Beans & Mac next!

All grown up!

Omg Evie & Ben are all grown up! 😓 who wouldn’t want to root for Evie and her friends in their new business venture and to bring home the new belts?! And who wouldn’t want to root for Ben as he finds home and his forever! Ben & Evie are the perfect balance to each other and along their way they make each other laugh and cry and find home! The fight sequences are awesome and make you feel like you’re the conquering hero in the ring! Emilia crushes it and continues to give us the perfect escape into the world of the Rollers!

Im a huge fan of rhis author. That being asid, in struggling with this series because it is so heavily based around MMA. I love the glimpses of the characters and their family members but when it comes to the training or fights I just want to tune our. I think that is why I preferred the Checkmate series more than this.

Highly recommended for anyone that loves sports, in particular, mixed martial arts. Regardless, this author is gifted. For myself, I think I'll just have to get a summary in other books about these characters much like I had to in the other series.

Amazing. Absolutely amazing. The set up for what Im sure is going to be an absolutely incredible series. The heartbreak repair. I had a silly smile on my face for almost the entire book. Not to mention all of the moments we got with some of the OG rollers. Bobby had a moment that had me tearing up. Aiden Kincaid as a dad will forever be my favorite. And Tina. Oh lord I’m so in love with Tina. She had me dying with laughter. I’m so in love with Ben and Evie’s story and this book made all the frustration and heartache of the first so very worth it.

>Book Review – Reshuffle
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 2nd in the Stacked Deck series and ends in an HEA. This book is the HEA for Evie and Ben. There are a ton of really exciting fight scenes. I love sports books with actual sports in it. This book includes a showdown between Reid and Ben, a new character with a cute daughter & puppies!
>Mac and Bean’s story is front and center. The fight scene with Mac and Iowa was the most nail-biting thing I ever read. This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 5 stars!

I really

Have no words. This was worth the wait. I knew I shouldn’t start it tonight, but I did. And now it’s after 3am and I just finished it. Lol. It is so good. I am absolutely in love with Ben and Evie. Like truly in love. I cannot wait to read Mac and Beans story. Side note: I would love to see more of Miles and I think he would be amazing with Nora. Emilia definitely never disappoints. Ever.

Atypical

Finn’s latest book is atypical—in the best way. It isn’t a cookie cutter rom-com. However, this book deviates from her previous ones in that I didn’t bawl my eyes out throughout the entire book. Again—that’s not bad. It just means that her writing is refreshing and unique. I will have to say that it is amazing that I didn’t pass out because I’m pretty sure I stopped breathing during the high points. Action packed sports romance. Loved. It.

I’m not sure a book should make me this happy...

But it did!! This book melted my heart after the first one completes shredded it. I’m sure it is not healthy to become so emotionally invested in fictional characters. Emilia’s books have a way of doing that though. They draw you in until you feel like these characters are a part of your world until you are completely invested. Thanks for another amazing book!

Reshuffle

I had a feeling that Evie & Ben were going to be epic and I am glad I was right. Add in great fighter action and you’ve got a book that rivals the Rollers. Definitely looking forward to the rest of the series...definitely can’t wait to see if a certain champion returns as a future love interest! Mac and Bean are up next and it’s been a long time coming for those two!

Awesome! 5 stars as always!

Reshuffle is the continuation of Benvie so definitely read the first book before reading this one! Great job Emilia! This book was perfect. Getting to see their adult love for one another and growing as a couple. And, of course the amazing Rollers making their appearances. If you haven't read Emilia Finn, go all the way to her Rollin On series and start! Welcome! You won't regret reading the wonderful world she has created. Hands down favorite author!
