Elemental Fae Academy: Book Two

Someone wants me dead.

Worse yet, my link to Spirit is dying. Why? Because Exos has been taken by a new enemy. Now I have to rely on my other elements to find my missing link before it’s too late.

Oh, and I need a guard to protect me while I learn how to defend myself. No big deal. Master the elements, find my lost Spirit, and identify the bad guy.

Yeah. Easy.

Except Titus is tired of playing by the rules of others.
Vox just wants to be friends.
Sol is pissing everyone off.

And Cyrus, well, he’s a force of nature and very much in charge.

I’d better solve this puzzle quickly before my heart starts making choices on my behalf. Because all these fae are beautiful, cunning, and perfect in their own ways.

But how can I feel complete without my Spirit?

The hunt is on, and whoever is out to hurt me and mine will pay.

Note: This is a medium burn reverse harem paranormal romance, and book two of the Elemental Fae Academy trilogy.

So this starts off right where we left things hanging in the previous book with Exos Kidnapped by persons unknown and a new player his brother Cyrus the reigning king coming into play on the chessboard and almost from the onset Cyrus manages to behave like a complete jackass totally and intentionally rubbing Clare and her new posse up the wrong way.
So everyone here gets there chance to shine and take a hold of the reins regarding the progressing narrative.
Six differing POV's: it shouldn't work but it did magnificently and I loved how it enabled us to understand and as a result become closer to each individual character.
Every one of Clares mates brought something she needed to the table and all had there own particular strengths and individual personalities.
All of the elements are now in place even if some mates are still somewhat resistant we are now playing with a full-stack.
We have the missing Exos for Spirit, Cyrus is Water, Titus Fire, Vox is Air and finally, Sol is Earth.
I also really adored how each mate had there own pet-name for claire made it easier to set them apart in my head as well as being super sexy, Also, Cyrus himself did grow on me as he does redeem himself eventually.
The temperature dial most certainly got turned up a notch here and I found myself seriously over-heating at times.
This also didn't end on a major cliffhanger which was fab more like a reveal though I do want book three like right now as I am really looking forward to the concluding piece of this delicious puzzle.
This one is book two out of three and does need to be read in order.
Highly recommend this series especially if you're partial to more slow-burn reverse harem this one is really well done.
The authors themselves have done a fantastic job and this series gets my seal of approval.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Elemental Fae Academy: Book Two (Elemental Fae Academy #2).

these books are funnnn. They aren’t long, they are hot and they are interesting. It isn’t too dark and the plot is always there while they all fuck 😄

This is a RH story with 5 guys, and they all feel very different. I appreciate that.

I liked Claire here more. Cyrus really made her better. I love Cyrus. These are pretty lighthearted books and you can easily read the trilogy in a day or two.

Too many orgies. Not for real lovers. You might be saying “it’s a reverse harem what do you expect” idk. Less orgies.

Der 2. Teil schließt direkt an den 1. Band an.

Generell bin ich sehr pingelig, was Fehler in Büchern angeht. Bei den letzten gelesenen Verlagsbüchern habe ich allerdings mehr Tippfehler gefunden.

Eh, still iffy

-Book 2 of 3, completed trilogy
-RH
-fae (supernatural)
-No M/M so far, unfortunately
-steamy bedroom scenes

Like I said on my review of the first book, the verdict is still out on this trilogy. I just don’t know how I feel about it. While it’s keeping me interested enough to keep reading, and it’s pretty hot, it doesn’t feel like a whole lot is happening. It feels as if there is a whole lot of “telling” rather than “showing”. We’re told that Claire is harnessing her power and she’s gaining control and of course she’s apparently going to be the strongest of all fae, that’s all fine and dandy, but I want to actually see her do something. I want to see her kick some ass. Hopefully we get that in the next book. This book was mostly just trying to find one of her missing mates while going about every day life and working with her guardians. Honestly, the whole thing with her missing mate was a little weird. He’s legit missing, and at one point she thinks he’s dead, but yet she’s immediately hooking up with her one of her other mates. I guess I have no right to say how someone deals with their worry, but it honestly felt like the missing mate was just an after thought a bit of the time. They definitely spend time trying to find him, but idk, it just felt like sometimes it wasn’t a big priority. Also, 3 out of the 5 mate bonds were forced, brought about during a time of desperation to save a life. Yes, she thought they were attractive, and they were helping her with her magic, but I just didn’t see the relationship building between them. And one of the mates was actually pissed about the forced bond, but yet they all accept it because were told “you can’t form a bond with someone who isn’t willing”. Idk, the building of the harem just didn’t flow well. While a lot of this book felt like filler, I wish there was more on the relationship building. Again, this is all personal preference, so take it with a grain of salt. Especially because I apparently like it enough to continue reading the trilogy even if I’m not feeling like it’s a 5 star read.

Off to the final book I go, here’s to hoping we go out with a bang

So I guess everyone is really loving this series?

I did find this book (the second in the series) a little better than the first. There was more at stake in the plot, and the characters felt more fleshed out. I wanted to keep reading, and I finished it within a couple of days.

But...

It still just feels very cliched! Maybe that's a personal preference and I just need to move on from the 'fantasy academy' genre, but I do think the elemental fae world has potential, and could be something great.

I normally don't mind 'mated' romances, but I really struggled with the expectation that I was supposed to be on-board with other people deciding for Claire who she could mate, and that she could 'love' them with almost no interaction beyond introductory conversations.

Perhaps trying to establish a convincing 6 person mate circle is too much for a 3 book series?

I'm also not sure how I feel about Cyrus performing the mating ceremony with Claire whilst she is unconscious - yes her life supposedly depends on it (convenient right?), but is that a message we want out in the world? That consent isn't necessary, when the person isn't conscious. I know that there are some extenuating circumstances that the book tries to sell us on - I'm just not buying it.

The only thing stopping me from giving this 1 star, is that I genuinely want to know what happens in the final book. My hope is that Claire comes in her own, masters her abilities and becomes a total badass! Fingers crossed!

Holy Shit!!!!! What was that? I can’t believe Claire’s mother is alive and she’s the responsible for that chaos.
Exos won my heart a little bit, but I love Titus so much more, he’s incredible and the way he loves Claire makes me so emotional, when he said he just wanted to be worshiping Claire when he was reunited with her, I almost cried. I already loved Titus intensely, but after that I'm loving him madly. I love them so much!
Now, Titus and Claire are one of my favorite literary couples, and now I’m uncertain if I can call them couple, each character of this series loves polygamy. I'm still completely shocked that there was an orgy, and that it was the only way to distract Claire from the chaos that was about to unfold.
This book series is crazy and I'm loving it so much, I'm obsessed but crushed that there's only one book left and another short holiday special.
I have no idea how I’ll react when I finish this series, I’m so attached with the plot and the characters, the characters are very well written, it’s impossible not loving them and caring about them.

Elemental Fae Academy: Book Two is the second spellbinding instalment in the Elemental Fae Academy Trilogy by Lexi C. Foss and J.R Thorn. I am really loving this series, it has completely captivated me and had me glued to the pages, while I devoured my way through the story just so I could discover what happens next. This book continues the storyline from the first book- and it picks up right where we left off in book one. So, if you haven’t read the first book, I highly recommend that you do- because this is not a standalone and should be read as part of the series. There is important background, storyline, and character information contained in the first book which you will need to know in order to fully appreciate and enjoy this story.
After the way the previous book finished, and the fact that I LOVED it so much- I really had high expectations for this story. So I can’t be more excited, now that I’ve finished it, by what these two talented authors created and the incredible ‘adventure’ they’re taking us on. There is so much going for this book/series. I really am at a loss for words to do it the justice I think it deserves.
As with the first book, this is a wonderful fantasy with a reverse harem/PNR romance. There’s plenty of action, drama, danger, hidden agendas, tension, mystery, politics, power-plays, battles, romance, passion, and so much more. And this story is definitely quite a bit sexier and steamier than the first.
Claire had only begun to wrap her mind around the events which unfolded in the previous book (I know I am being a little vague- but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t read the story yet) while also getting a grip on her ‘powers’, when she is flung into another crisis. Someone seems to be targeting her, and is willing to go to any lengths to get to her. When her spirit connection goes missing, Claire is desperate to be reunited with it- and time is running out. If she doesn’t find it, the connection will be severed- permanently. She and her sexy Fae will all need to work together to figure everything out before it’s too late. Easy right-um, not so much?
I absolutely cannot wait for book three!!!! I need it like yesterday!!!! November can’t come quick enough. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Definitely one of my favourite reads for this year!

Thank you, Lexi C. Foss & J.R Thorn!

Elemental Fae Academy: Book Two: A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance by Lexi C. Foss & J.R. Thorn is a fabulous addition to this series and it certainly turns up the heat and steam. I could not wait for this book as these sneaky I am in love with the characters, who have captivated me, and the world these great authors have created. The creativity and uniqueness of the magnificent writing draws you in to a place that you can easily imagine due to its richness and vividness. These pairing of these two authors is brilliant. They have certainly raised the stakes in this book which had me glued to my seat and turning page after page until there was nothing left to read. Wow what a journey. With action and danger abound, mystery and drama ripe, passion and romance a plenty there is something for everyone and did I mention the magic and hot men.

Exos has been kidnapped and Claire is at a loss without her Spirit half and is ready to kick some a*se to find him. She is still trying to find her way in this new world and now she must fight for her life as well. But who is the enemy?

If you don’t grab a copy of this series you are certainly missing out. I need the next book asap. Don’t make me wait!

This wasn't as exciting as book one. It's also moving way too fast. It's as if we're forced to believe Claire is in love with all her 'mates' even if we really got to know them this book. Also, Claire's been extra whiny in this book and it's quite annoying.

——• 🧚‍♀️🧚‍♂️🧚‍♂️🧚‍♂️🧚‍♂️🧚‍♂️

This picked up from Exos being kidnapped at the end of book 1 and ended with finding him yadda yadda… but during all of this, we got to see how Cyrus and Sol became involved with Claire and also how her relationship with Vox came to be. I enjoyed the storyline and while it wasn’t ‘holy shit’ kinda vibes I loved it anyway! An easy read and delicious spice🥵

——• 🧚‍♀️🧚‍♂️🧚‍♂️🧚‍♂️🧚‍♂️🧚‍♂️

We’ve now met all 5 fated mates which are:

Spirit 👻 Exos - King of the Spirit fae with a second element being fire

Fire 🔥 Titus - The strongest non royal fire fae

Air 💨 Vox - A royal descendant, next in line of the Air Fae

Water💧 Cyrus - King of the Water Fae with a second element of spirit and also the younger brother of Exos

Earth 🌏 Sol - Traces of a third royal line thanks to the princess of the earth fae

Cirus is a real royal prick, but he is definitely right that Titus and Excose have been coddling Claire too much. His methods may be harsh but they cause Claire to grow a backbone and actually turn into a character I can get behind. Vox and Sol are both interesting characters and I like their story arcs.
Definitely crushing on Cirus now. ;)
Another good ending. I look forward to the final book in the series.
The authors were so lazy they didn't bother naming the individual books in the series, just book 1, book2 and book 3... what a weird thing to have done.

Pros:

The characters all have distinct personalities.
The writing makes me want to keep reading.
The magic each fae can do is intriguing.
Cyrus. Always love to have a love interest you hate first. Need to have someone pushing buttons.

Cons:

I barely felt the connection between Claire and vox and sol. The whole month they knew each other and lived together was skipped over, where it seems like they didn’t interact much except for training/cooking. Then suddenly she is forcefully bonded to them and doesn’t care, and the one that does care has all reservations solved with sex. I just feel cheated since we missed the getting to know you stage and jumped straight to sex and now everything’s cool and they’re all on board and permanently committed.

Cyrus. While I don’t mind that he is rude, antagonistic, and insensitive, I hate that it’s never addressed by Claire. I also don’t even mind the forced mating, because I was looking forward to seeing really strong moments between the two of them where they reconcile that and figure out how to move forward. But then she wakes up, they have a lot of sex, and everything is cool. They never talk about it. She just immediately accepts the bond and doesn’t even question it, even though she was mad about their initial kiss. I think her “fae side” coming out is a cop out and a weak way to explain their suddenly solid bond, even though the past month had him ridiculing her.

Honestly, the way the relationships developed made me so mad, because I JUST didn’t see it. I just couldn’t feel that they had feelings for each other (except Titus and Exos) and that they were comfortable together. Honestly, it seems like sex fixed it all, and this totally had the potential to create real, meaningful relationships without sex as a cure.

This being said, the author clearly made me invested enough in the characters to be upset about it at all.

Vox is learning all sorts of new things, "bacon came from pigs. Pigs. Eff. That. Why would anyone want to eat a pig?" Titus is just really good to his girl, he lets her be her ownself, “don’t need my permission, sweetheart.” He stretched, making a show of putting his arm around her shoulder. “I’ll go shower before dinner and leave you all to it.” The more we get into this series the more I'm loving it!

This was just boring. I wish we got more of her interacting with others in the academy, and more courtship between her and the guys.

IMO I would've liked the book way better if she would've actually spent time in each elemental school getting to know the ppl and building her bonds

Erotic Romantic Fantasy, Reverse Harem, Menage, Alternate Worlds

First person; multiple-POV

Book #2 of the Elemental Fae Academy with cliffhanger, it cannot be read as a standalone.

Fire breathed passion. Air stirred sensation. Water encouraged tranquility. Spirit warmed my heart. Earth is invigorating.

by Claire

Addictiveness: 5/5 I’m in love with this series. Really amazing! I’ve read in one sitting, because I couldn’t let go. I can't wait for the last book! As addictive as chocolate!!!

Character: heroes 5/5, heroine 5/5, secondary characters 5/5, growth 5/5, real 3/5 Very complex characters with lots of depth. More important characters were added here and all characters have personal growth in this book.

Claire: Her self journey continues in this book and she finds her balance, harmony within her elements.  A kickass heroine!

Exos: He shows his inner strength in this one. I love how he is wonderful in guiding Claire with the others. He always knows what they need.

Titus: I love him, and he is still my favorite. I love his passion and how he matures in this one.

Vox: I think he is still mysterious but he is also a great warrior and leader. The way he cares for the group is great.

Earth fae: I don't want to say names and spoil the fun. I guess, he is my second favorite. I love his tender and sort of childish way.

Water fae: I'm surprised! For me, he was unexpected but I really liked this twist. It made sense for the plot.

Many interesting secondary characters specially the fae council.

The villains… here we already know who they are. I mean, I don't truly believe that. I think there are more enemies then what we have seen.

These characters are multidimensional, very easy to love, connect and understand.

Cover: art 5/5, title 5/5, color-font 5/5, buy 5/5  I’m obsessed with book covers. I love to find snippets of the stories within the art. I can be really picky with book covers and I have to say, this one is one of the most beautiful art work I’ve seen. Besides being really pretty, it really tells the story of the book. This girl is definitely Claire. We can see she is wearing a uniform like the academy. Different than the first book, here the magic is controlled and we see new elements like water and the Earth. The colors are superb, the font and placement of the words in the cover are spot on and the title fits the story. I would definitely buy this book by its cover without reading the blurb!!!

Freshness5/5 O.M.G This is a one-of-a-kind story. It is unique in which everything feels new and original. Like never I’ve read before.  As fresh as a cold bottle of water in the middle of the desert!

Plot: believable 3/5, conflict 5/5, dialogue 5/5, ending 3.5/5, enjoyment 5/5, opening 5/5, pace 5/5, setting 5/5, subplots 5/5, twists 5/5  Amazing opening and a cliffhanger at the end. Of course this plot is not believable, but this is fantasy. The world-built is fantastic, the story has enough subplot to keep the reader intrigue to what will come next. The twists are unexpected and the conflict is very well written. Splendid!!! Highest level of satisfaction!!!

Romance: believable 5/5, chemistry 5/5, description 5/5, development 5/5, steam 5/5  The romance just gets better in this one. There are more males, more steamy scenes and with some, the love is already stablished. The smut is elegantly written and it never feels without reason.

Writing Style: 5/5  I don’t even know what to say. The writing is clean, cohere and have no loopholes. The characters are complex, the plot is simply convoluted and the romance is sexy and loving.  Inspiring writing!

THE END! I know, the cliffhanger here is still better than the first book, but we still got a cliffhanger.

This was how ultimate power was meant to be controlled-not contained, but sated.

by Vox

This is a MUST read for everybody that enjoys romantic fantasy.

This series has it all. It has great world-built, amazing characters, wonderful plot and steamy romance.

35/35 STARS –  5 STARS (between 33.5 stars and 35 stars)

Addictiveness: 5 Character: 5 Cover: 5 Freshness: 5  Plot: 5 Romance: 5 Writing Style: 5

Action 4/5

Would I recommend? This is a must for anyone that enjoys romantic fantasy.

Would I re-read this book/series? YES! This has totally become binge worthy!

Would I read more from the author? Can’t wait for more!!!

You MAY read this because you like romantic fantasy; you SHOULD read this because you enjoy reverse harem; you MUST read this because this series is ADDICTIVE!!!

I received a free audiobook from the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I might have accidentally binged this whole book last night. But damn this series is so good. It's also hella fun and I cannot wait to read the next one! In Book 2, we see Claire's group expand to the full five. Cyrus, Sol and Vox make up the other half of her circle. And while Sol and Vox and begrudging additions in the beginning, the capture of Exos leaves Claire at risk and she needs to master her elements before it's too late.

Cyrus was an asshole at first but somehow I ended up loving him. ugh. He was actually worse than Exos at first, but Claire proves them both wrong by showing them how strong she is. I love this girl so much. Her powers are incredible and I love seeing her master them.

Every time Claire cooked human food for the fae males, I died laughing. All those cooking scenes were my favorite. I really hope Claire goes to the Academy Ball with Sol and wears jeans. Eff traditions lmao. I loved that we finally learned some more about Claire's mom and what exactly happened all those years ago. There's some suspicious stuff going on with the council members though and I'm sure who to trust.

I like that we get all the POVs in this story. Multi-POV is my favorite, plus it felt like we got to know more about each of the guys this way. I hope we get more of Sol's backstory in the next one and that Claire can help heal some of those scars.

The one thing that was kind of sketchy:

Outstanding

I love the way this book is written and narrated. The growth of the FMC is amazing. she's grown from insecure and scared to someone embracing her true heritage. The focus in this book shifts to the men we haven't gotten to know as well in the previous book, while the others remain more in the background and it gives us the chance to get to know them all. The plot is fast-paced, intriguing and kept me invested, trying to unravel the mysterious enemy our main characters are facing.

This wasn’t as good as book one but supernatural stuff never is when they decide to start on with the ridiculous prophecy stuff.

But it’s still good if you like RH supernatural academy books. You just gotta deal with dramatic ancient prophecies.

While the underlying villain plot made progress and the Spirit Prince Exos was found and saved, the character and world development was still quite lacking and unsatisfying for me. Many details were just hand-waved away for plot convenience. The FMC Claire's relationship was also way past fast-burn and into speeding train when she ended up bonding with .

1. In a chapter from Exos's POV, he mentioned that fae didn't actually need to eat food to survive. He was trapped in the prison for , and I guess they never fed him? What? Why does Sol like eating so much and why was there a school cafeteria then?

2. When Claire ended up , she mentioned that he had been her "only choice." ummm... when did Claire ever shop around the rest of the academy or the fae world for another choice?

3. Months supposedly pass, but we don't get any details about growing relationship between the group, the kinds of classes that Claire is taking at the academy, and it's just stated as a fact at the beginning of the chapter. It honestly made me think the whole story took place in a few weeks rather than an extended period of time and that it was just insta-lust/insta-love at any relationship progress.

4. I thought the ending conclusion of who the villain was was super lame. The evil was confirmed to be doing evil things. Hopefully, there's still another twist in the final book since it's not really fun to have obviously evil people be evil.

I'm not overall too enamored by the series so far and don't really like any of the main characters, but I mainly want to see how the story ends in the last book, so I will be finishing the series.

I thought I loved book one in the Elemental Fae Academy series but book two just up the stakes. So much happened, kidnappings, fighting, mates, attacks, the past reveal, shocking plot twists and so much more, I loved every single second of Elemental Fae Academy Book Two.

While Claire is still trying to get used to the fae world, her elemental powers and getting her mates on board, the evil that has dogged Claire since she arrived in the fae world has just gotten started. I love seeing the interaction between Claire and the guys, Titus is my favorite, he is all fiery passion and has been devoted to Claire since the beginning while the other kinda dragged their feet. It's actually kinda funny how everyone had comments about the "halfling/human" but once they meet her, Claire has them. It's so funny how they change their tune, I mean just stop fighting it dude. In this book, Vox was the most annoying out of the group and with Cyrus making his appearance that is a tall order. Vox was whiny about the situation with Claire but he is the one who created the situation and now he is upset by it, dude get a handle on yourself. Cyrus was the complete ass I thought he might be but he has a softer side I like, he took a minute to grow on me.

The plot was amazing, Claire is steadily growing into her power and starting to take some control in her life but this evil entity has thrown a lot her way. I would swear I knew who was behind everything but now I'm second-guessing. It looks like the person I thought was behind everything is but I swear they are up to something. There have been at least three incidences were different characters noticed something about the character and just shrugged it off plus I just got a bad feeling, they may or may not be connected but they are giving off a weird vibe and I can't wait until that is resolved.

Pro:
Multiple POVs
Mates
Elemental Magic
Mystery
Good Plot Twist
Good World Building

Con:
Nothing

There is only one more full-length book left in the series, plus a few novella's and while I am ready to find out what happens next I am not ready to say goodbye. I rarely binge read a series that has only been two others and this series is the third and I will admit that I am very anxious to find out who is behind the attacks on Claire and will she and her guys come out on top.

Okay, that was bad.

The ahole water fae love interest took over the whole story, throwing around his weight, disrespecting and manipulating everyone, and employing abusive and unethical training methods without any cause or remorse, all the while congratulating himself on how clever and amazing he was.

On top of that, there was zero relationship-building between the female lead and the air fae and earth fae love interests. The spirit fae picked them, the water fae forced them together, contrivance forced a bond on them and, without any emotional caring, sharing or connection, !boom! they were all over each other.

Not an enjoyable read.

THANK THE LORD BABY JESUS FOR CYRUS.

spoilers.

Seriously thank God for Cyrus coming in and fixing our whining and crying heroine, because that was insufferable.

I would say my only thing to note on this one is that I wish we got more connection with the guys in this one. Yes she has the sex fueled craze with her mating Cyrus but I actually enjoyed their banter back and forth and I know we won't be as in his pov next time and I'm honestly sad. Him and exos are making this series for me, and who knows how book three goes.

I also wish we knew vox and Sol more. We either will in the next book or we will forever just have too many mates to have real connections as sometimes happens with paranormal rh.

I am also glad the plot moved past "mean girls" from book one. I hate that plot device but I am ready to see where this road ends.

I loved this book so much!

It starts off where the last book left off, Exos has been kidnapped and we have no idea who took him. Clare thinks her bond with him is broken until Cyrus, Exos' brother, finds her and trains her in her abilities.

This book is full of sexual tension and very hot sexual encounters. I loved Clare so much more in this book. She is coming more into herself.. more into her fae personality and I think she is a much stronger character for it. I also really loved seeing how the relationships played out. We get to know everyone alot better here and see how they interact with Clare.

I can't wait to see how this series ends!

This story picks off right after the cliffhanger in book 1 and I really enjoyed it!

Claire is really coming into her own, and the new additions of Sol, Vox and Cyrus were great. I especially love Exos and Cyrus (the brother Kings yum). I did think Titus got the short end of the stick in the series. He had a really big role in book 1, but in this one and by book 3 he’s not as prominent as the others. I also noticed that we never meet his family or find out more about him and his backstory.

The action keeps going and I like all the interactions they have. Things aren’t what they seem and I enjoyed unraveling things more and more.
