Velvet Kisses

Rate this book
Marley Jackson has an ax to grind with the entire male population. After having her heart brutally broken, she’s out to prove to both herself and the world that a woman only needs one thing from a man—and it isn’t love.

Wyatt James isn’t interested in anything that resembles a commitment. He’s self-made, secure, and happy to entertain a one-night stand any day of the week—enter Marley.

Marley quickly dispels the idea that she’s anybody’s one-night stand. What Marley has in store for Wyatt is far more complex and requires a binding contract to back it.

Marley and Wyatt aren’t in it for love. Marley is looking to glean some expertise in the bedroom. Wyatt is looking to find some solace after a string of nameless faces that have rocked his bed.

But when feelings change, and that four-letter word takes ahold of both their hearts, they’re left to face the fact they might be in deeper than either of them thought possible.

Marley and Wyatt smolder beneath the sheets.
She’s eager to learn—yet, bossy as hell.
He’s eager to lay down one hard lesson after the other, yet determined to save her from herself.

Sometimes heartbreak is the greatest teacher.
Sometimes it leads you into the arms of the one you belonged with right from the start.

Wyatt & Marley

Marley had her heart broken by the cheating, lying Will. Now Will wants Marley back and she wants nothing to do with that. Marley is done with love and decides she only needs one thing from a man. On a mission for a one-night-stand she comes across Wyatt (Blake's older brother). Marley quickly decides that a one-night-stand with Wyatt just won't do. She wants a lot more sex with Wyatt than one-night.

Wyatt is always good for a one-night-stand with no strings attached but Marley is a different story and he knows it from the moment they meet.

Wyatt tries to scare Marley off with a binding contract (think Fifty Shades of Gray only a lot tamer) and when that does not work he tries to make her wait for the big night.

Marley is determined to have her way with Wyatt. She wants a teacher...... She has only been with one man and she knows that it was not up to par.

This story had me pretty charmed. I loved the exchanges between the two main characters. The flirting going back and forth was cute and funny. And I have to say the 1st sex scene was hilarious. I was laughing so hard I had tears blurring my vision and I had to stop reading until I calmed down. I found Cat Alice strange and did not really understand the relationship between Cat Alice and Will. I just did not get it. Way would Cat Alice even introduce Will to Marley if they were dating. It made no sense to me. But that was a side plot that I did not care for. The real meet of that matter was that Will is a cheater and was not going to get Marley back. Marley found something better.

Marley and Wyatt both fighting the LOVE emotion was predictable but still a fun and sweet read.

Happy Reading!

I have to say that Velvet Kisses is one of my favorite books in the 3 a.m. Kisses series. The storyline is funny, interesting, and extremely hot. Addison never fails to seamlessly combine humor with scorching hot, sexually tense moments that will melt your panties off.

Marley is jaded and as much as she tries to hide it she is heartbroken that he douchebag ex-boyfriend Will was cheating on her. She goes out one night looking for that one-night stand but instead meets Wyatt. The immediate chemistry between Marley and Wyatt is off the charts. There is this spark between the two of them but they both fight it and enter into this special sort of relationship. She is planning on writing a memoir of the sex life of a co-ed and wants to sleep her way through a baker’s dozen. Just sex. No emotions, no commitments, equals no chance at a broken heart.

While “working” together on Marley’s memoir the two find themselves battling internally, trying to fight the feelings that a bubbling under the surface just waiting to erupt. The playful and sometimes naughty banter is both hilarious and steamy.

Of course you know with all love stories, finding your happily ever after doesn’t go without bumps in the road. In some cases these bumps in the road appear as exes, vindictive females and self-doubt.

Will Marley and Wyatt work through their problems or will their relationship end as just a chapter in her memoir? You will have to read Velvet Kisses to find out.

Marley is one of my favorite characters that Addison has written. She reminded me a lot of myself minus the sleeping her way through her memoir. Her feisty attitude and sarcastic comments made me laugh to the point of tears and her inner monologue echoed that of any woman who has experienced the pain of heartbreak.

Wyatt, Wyatt, Wyatt. What can I say about him? He’s hot, successful and desperately in need of that woman who completes his life, even if he doesn’t want to admit it. He cares for Marley and only wants to do what he can to keep that smile on her face. Wyatt can make you swoon with one smile or with one of his heartfelt comments.

Velvet Kisses is definitely a book to read and it can be read as a stand alone. Although I wholeheartedly recommend the rest of the series. They are all AH-MAY-ZING!

The series continues with Wyatt's sister, Piper and an old nemesis' brother Owen in Wild Kisses. (3:AM Kisses #7)

Wyatt he amused me, "my boxers twitch with the sound of her approving groan. I'll have to memorize that sound for the shower later." The boy is well endowed, "Wyatt is already saluting me with the most impressive specimen known to all of man. Dear God. I fight hard not to take pictures stat and instagram the s*** out of this." Obviously his girl wants to share that endowment with the world. In emergencies Wyatt is an action man he will run out naked to save s*** not caring who sees him:
"Marley!" Wyatt jogs over, wagging and panting. Both Annie and I are riveted at the way his pe*** swings like a pendulum.
"No wonder you don't want to get dressed," she says under her breath.
This was an interesting read with Wyatt being without a care in the world in some scenes.

Review by Lisa Kane

Marley has just been betrayed by her boyfriend of 2 years. She's working on a paper for the collage's paper and she's going to do some research-on one night stands and the sex life of a coed. She's got #1 down-her ex Will and she's ready to tackle a baker's dozen of men. Sex, fun but no love-that's for sure.

She came from a dirt poor background and school is her ticket out. She's friends with almost the whole cast of characters from the previous stories, and has now set her sights on Wyatt, Blake's brother.

Wyatt is gorgeous, smart and thirty. He is just as interested in Marley, but thinks she is just lashing out of a desire for revenge and will lose interest in him. These two clash and have tons of back and forth witty banter. But underneath, there is a bubbling cauldron of lust always threatening to rise to the top.

I have to admit, while I love this series, I had a difficult time connecting to the main characters, especially Marley. She chatters so much, even in her own mind that I found myself skimming through paragraphs. Wyatt's thoughts were much easier to navigate.

The series continues with Wyatt's sister, Piper and an old nemesis' brother Owen in Wild Kisses. (3:AM Kisses7)

4.5 Hilarious Stars !! Tiny spoiler......

I literally was crying laughing at this book. Marley's character was hysterically funny. Her inner dialogue.....priceless ;0)

Wyatt was wonderful. Older guy who knew what he wanted and what he wanted to avoid and just went for it !

The only reason it did not get the hallowed 5 stars was because when Marley and Wyatt split, which was only for a period of 2 weeks. Wyatt was a little too quick on the draw (for my liking) to waltz over to his ex to possibly get his freak on.

I know, I know you cry.....its a book Donna. And yup, in real life there are those guy's who have that mentality.....to get over a girl, get under one....yeah, yeah.

Its just for me this should not have been the actions of a 30 yr guy who had found his one !!. Good god, he didn't even have the good grace to admit that little pearl to Marley !! Or even walk out on that little interlude screaming "I carn't do it". Nope, he ONLY left cause he found that contract....mmmhmmm ?. Then that whole event was just pouf forgotten. Yes, I am on my moral soap box.....and I own it !!!

I just hate that kind of twist in a story line. Yes, I know there will be a split somewhere in the book (its nearly a given), but for crying out loud pine away, plot revenge, plan to woo.....don't plan to do the ex !!! nuff said on that.

I look forward to reading about Piper and Owen !!.

Well done Addison x later peeps xx

Ack... I think I'm done with this series. I just can't get into them and when I'm reading the novels I think of other things I could be reading... Not exactly what should be happening, right?

Marley and Wyatt's story was...annoying. The previous characters in the other novels were frustrating, but Marley would constantly ramble on about nonsense - both in dialog and in thoughts... I would skip huge paragraphs and I didn't miss a thing because she was still rambling on about a topic that didn't even matter.

Wyatt has a thing for attracting crazy lady's, Marley being one of them. They had a weird "plan" between them. I'm not a prude - I've read my fair share of erotica's, but this was not really a romance or an erotica. It was just there and I had to be a guest on the ride.

So yes, I've had hits and misses with this series - most of them misses and I know there is another novel coming for this series, but I just can't stand the torture of these characters and their same plot lines but different stories. Plus Piper seems like a real pain in the ass and I don't need to 1. spend the money and 2. waste my time reading a story that I will more than likely not enjoy.

But kudos to all of the readers for like this story/characters. It's just not my style of novel I guess.

I am singing high praises for Velvet Kisses (3:AM Kisses 6) by Addison Moore. Nothing hurts worse than getting your heart broken. I’m sure every woman or man can attest to that fact. Marley Jackson is determined to find a man to have a good time with. Little did she realize the adventure she would partake with Wyatt James the sexy in control businessman. Would be a wild ride. Sometimes we meet a character in a book and after a while we forget details about them. After meeting Marley I highly doubt that I will forget her. She is so full of life, and it is so refreshing. Marley is not afraid to try new things, and she plans to chronicle every juicy detail. Wyatt is laid back and sexy in control. But he soon meets his match with Marley. She challenges him every step of the way, never shying away from an adventure. I laughed out loud, gasped and once in a while had to fan myself. Addison Moore is fabulous, I highly recommend this 6th 3:AM Kisses book. It’s a must read.

Here we are with Marley and Wyatt (LOVE those names). Marley is a typical man hater. Her heart was ripped out of her chest stomped on so she has her reasons, poor girl. Wyatt is a typical college guy, he wants nothing series. Marley wants some tips in bed, who better to use than Wyatt. Neither of them want a commitment until they realize that their connections goes much deeper than just in the bedroom. The sex scenes in this one were by far the best in the series. The chemistry is just amazing! One thing that annoyed me was Marley’s self doubt, but at the same time I understand where it comes from.

Oh god. So stupid. This girl is annoying, and frustrating. No self-respecting woman would want to act this way! How is this a "best selling author"? And how is this series so long? I need to start trusting my instinct - if it's a free download, there's a good reason... it's garbage.

So this book was really cute, I love all of the 3:AM Kisses books, they all have this natural, cute, love bug thing about them, while also having that real aspect from them. Such as you can totally see this happening to your best friend, co-worker, sister, etc. I love how each one has their own quirks to make the story their own. In this one the storyline is very simple but, I did enjoy that aspect. I was in a book slump, read this in les than 24 hours and feel like I'm back on rhythm.

I really love the male character, Wyatt, he is sleek, handsome and is trying to find away to enjoy his life. He has an readiness to him that makes him very likeable. I don't mind the female character, Marley, she is young, definitely naive, but she is trying, so I have to give her props for that. It makes her more likely, but I have to admit her attitude turns me of a little bit again I think that comes from the naive aspect. Though I do like who she becomes in the end.

If you are looking for a quick, way and light hearted read, friendly open this kiss up!

I was gifted an ARC copy of this book by Addison Moore for an honest review.. 5 ***** all the way..

Electrifying, Intense, Sizzling, Grab ya by the heart strings, Lump in your throat, Raise your voice sayings of "HOT DAM", Slap you hand over your mouth, snort, kind of Love Story!!! Wyatt and Marley are definetly made for each other and it couldn't of been written anymore memorable or beautiful than the way Addison Moore had sone. You have to read this book to EXPERIENCE IT. It would take me forever to try and describe all the great characters and scenes the book has in it. Freaking Loved This Book!!!

It’s becoming increasingly clear that Ms. Moore not only has a major thing for dimples, but that there’s a disheartening pattern of masculine promiscuity & feminine Purity, with the feminine party “taming the wild ways” of the masculine party. True, there’s usually a semblance of a plot to this painfully hetero-sexual, -romantic series. It’s a nice touch to an otherwise deeply problematic & clearly formulaic series.

Loin-Girding is Strongly Recommended.

This is the sixth book in the 3:AM Kisses series by Addison Moore. This book is the story of Wyatt and Marley, who have both been burned in love. Marley’s still getting over a cheating ex and wants to explore her sexuality with Wyatt to add authenticity to her article in the university paper. Together they try to avoid L-O-V-E and enjoy each other’s company. They have to decide if their affection for each other can go the distance, and become love after a defacing article is published in the school paper putting both Marley and Wyatt in bad light.

This story is witty, sweet, and hilarious. I found Addison Moore’s writing style to be fun and engaging. The dialogue between the characters was realistic. Marley was a quirky and opinionated character. There were a few odd scenes that I could not get behind and that made it hard for me to connect with Marley. I thought the emails responding to Marley, at the beginning, were funny, if not a bit odd since they were never addressed in the story. I found Wyatt a bit flat in comparison to Marley, but he was endearing and gentlemanly.

Overall, this was a fun romantic read and I found that I really enjoy Addison Moore and plan to read more of her books. I would give Velvet Kisses four out of five stars.

As much as I enjoy going back to Whitney Briggs for me Marley and Wyatt garnered a rather lukewarm appreciation. Maybe if their age difference was not brought up so much as a stumbling block, my parents had 11 years between their ages and it certainly was not an issue for them, and maybe if more time was spent with just the two of them rather than focused on the other characters would have enjoyed this one more.

I also found it distasteful when Marley's ex-boyfriend was given so much of his own page space, he was a waste of air much less someone to be broken up about.

However happy to have had the chance to revisit the cast and crew making up the series as they always have something new to learn about them.

This book was great! i had to go and read some ARCs during this and I thought it would be hard to go back and remember what had happened before but, the author writes so, well that it wasn't a problem. Her characters and plot are so, unique and fun ! Marley and Wyatt are truly
star crossed lovers! But, they start out with a contract that gets amended - Marley will always be nude at the ranch - It was a fun read and all of her characters were interesting and fun! i would definitely recomend this book!

Best one yet

These characters are for sure my favorite Addison has written. Both made me laugh out loud many times with their snarky comments and sexual wit. This is my favorite 3 am kiss book yet. Like every other book they do have overly cheesy, wrapped up into a bow endings, and predictable plotlines. But that's kind of the appeal I suppose. They are a good palette cleanser for me, and I will definitely read the rest now that they are on KU. I may even reread them from time to time, because for some reason they are addicting even though they are overly predictable.

Marley & Wyatt

You can't help but love the college kids from Whitney Briggs College and I love how they are all mentioned in each new book.

Instant attraction was set between Marley and Wyatt but there were a couple past ex's who refused to stay in the ex zone that kept causing problems. Once Marley and Wyatt were both ready to fully cut the last strings keeping their ex's in their lives, they are finally able to open their hearts.

On fire!

Wyatt and Marley were hot! I loved the buildup to their first night together and then the actual night was on fire! Literally 😅 Marley's ex was unbelievable and not in a good away. The gall on that one was ridiculous, glad she never gave in and went back to him. Overall this was a super hot story along with some kink thrown in 😉

I didn’t enjoy this book like I expected that I would. I mean I love this author but Marley really bugged me, she was different and a little out their for my taste. I just couldn’t warm up to her like the other characters in previous books. I did like this book but it was a little slow at times.

All about the 3 AM Kisses

I have really enjoyed getting to know the characters of Whitney Briggs and the surrounding towns. I’ve laughed, cried and even had the occasional angry outburst over one of my favorite characters. I especially like that all the characters are connected in each book. Fun.

Addison Moore has hopelessly made me fall in love once again. The 3:AM series is by far my favorite romance series. Every book hasn't disappointed me yet. This one is my favorite of the series. I love Marley & Wyatt together. They were literally destined for one another. The book was funny & sweet & a true recommend by me. (All the books in the 3:AM series can be read as Standalones!)

So good!!

This novel had a lot of good moments, a lot of sweet moments, and a lot of amazing moments that just brought a warm smile to my face; however, there were the times were it would lull and I would think about placing it down in favor of another, but in the end I'm glad I stuck it out and finished it.

Not as good as the others but I think that's because Marley's off-the-wall, over the top dramatic personality was too much for me. Loved Wyatt though and the story lines were good and that's why I enjoyed it.
