Crime Never Pays… Well yes and no depending on what side of the fence you’re on!
I’ve always had a strong passion for whodunnits, crime series, and books. The more I immersed myself in it, the stronger the fascination grew.
In my spare time, you’ll find me in the gym, reading, binge watching Netflix or taking walks in the forest.
Oh, and I’m an avid people watcher, I just love to watch people, their mannerisms, and their way of expressing their thoughts… weird I know, but I could spend hours doing that. It's funny, because watching people often gives me insights and inspiration for describing human interaction in my books.
Fun fact: My favourite, bestest place ever on earth? Any of the Florida theme parks and the mad coasters out there. Add the food, shopping and weather, and you've got the best place on earth... especially when I see the joy on the faces of my family when we're out there :)
Weird fact: Spending an afternoon in a mortuary to bring my books to life. Oops! poor choice of words there :)
This, the third novel about DI Karen Heath is truly excellent. It is gripping, gritty and all too plausible. To say that the way that the women are murdered is grisly would be an understatement. It is horrifying, but so well written that it is fascinating. In the course of the book, we gain insights not only into the investigation by Karen and her team, but also into the minds of both the victims and the perpetrator. This, the third book, is in my opinion the best yet. I couldn’t put it down and finished it in one day. Highly recommended!
Jay writes his novels with the focus being in the victims, killers, Karen and her team without unnecessary padding of useless plot. There has to be enough detail to make any story believable or the reader loses interest (or at least for me anyway). Yes, like any book the killers are always caught but if someone write a police thriller that detailed all the intricate details of a police investigation that normally lasts for months, nobody would buy it.
Another great addition to the Karen Heath series. A fast paced murder/mystery. This one is very graphic in detail! The storyline is very well developed and entertaining. The only thing that could make it better might be a little romance! Just saying!! I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving this review
A psychopath is targeting women in the sex trade. They are tortured and murdered. DI Karen Heath knows time is running out. She will do what it takes to save a life.
This was a decent read. Narration alternates between the killer and the police. The killer is standard issue but far more interesting than the beleaguered Karen. Good read, satisfactory ending.
This book was fascinating from start to finish. It featured a tough female Detective Constable , Karen Heath, who investigated the deaths of some prostitutes and strippers in London. I highly recommend this book to other readers of police procedurals.
.A brilliant read, I didn't want to put it down, the tension starts at the beginning and doesn't stop, I love Jay Nadal's books, always good, always grip you, and there not filled out with drivel to pad them out, this is a thoroughly good read.
A really great one. Kept you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. Characters are great 👍. They work good with each other. On to the next. Maybe when I finish this next one #5 will be out and I will be ready. Yeah 🎊
Wow! This book was very dark, and quite disturbing. It was also an awesome read. DI Karen Heath is an incredible character. I love this procedural crime series. Jay Nadal has done it again, another exciting storyboarding this series.
I'm so enjoying these books so congratulations on a brilliantly written series which once I started reading could not put it down and I would definitely recommend to other avid readers like me. Sorry for the late review 😊📖
