Jedząc mięso i jeżdżąc samochodem, też możesz uratować świat.
No i zilustrowane przez najbardziej zabawnego rysownika młodego pokolenia.
Jeśli dotąd wzbraniałeś się przed poradnikami ekologicznymi, odpuść sobie i sięgnij po tę książkę.
Various is the correct author for any book with multiple unknown authors, and is acceptable for books with multiple known authors, especially if not all are known or the list is very long (over 50).
If an editor is known, however, Various is not necessary. List the name of the editor as the primary author (with role "editor"). Contributing authors' names follow it.
Note: WorldCat is an excellent resource for finding author information and contents of anthologies.
Love what this book stands for, 100% behind the message, will be taking the information and using it in my life.
However, it took me FOREVER to finish because it’s not written in an engaging way. It’s all business and that’s fine but it doesn’t make it quick to read.
Would definitely recommend reading it, full of valuable info that the world needs right now.
It's a very important book that emphasizes the fact that we should take care of the environment, but I think that the information was not very well structured and that made the it a little bit boring. But after all, I really recommend it and it's a must to apply the ideas from the book.
Here’s a review of my very first book about the environment:
All in all, it was a very easy read with many eye-opening statistics and well-written suggestions. Fogle has a great way of constructing the words into making you feel like he’s actually talking to you. I would recommend this book to any person who’s interested in climate change and wants to contribute in the reduction of waste.
Here’s the summary of the 12 acts:
1) Don’t simply standby: Unplug your appliances and kill the vampire power 2) Go blue to go green: Save water each day by brushing and washing 3) Green is the new black: Make your wardrobe last longer 4) On your bike: Walk, ride or run 5) Paper doesn’t grow on trees: Lower your daily paper usage 6) Gear up for a greener plate: Moderate the meat and enhance those plants 7) Reuse, rinse, repeat: Cut down on daily plastic waste 8) Mindful shopping: Think big, before you buy big-ticket items 9) Potted potential: Clean the air by potting plants at home and the office 10) Eco-footprints in the sand: Lower your holiday footprint 11) Pledge for the future: Make your pension an investment for the planet 12) Don’t mess with the world: Stop littering, and lead a community clean-up
A brilliant and informative book brimming with ideas that you can easily put into practice to help save our world! Each short and quick-to-read chapter focuses on one way in which you can help save the world be it with saving energy by turning off lights, changing how you commute and cutting down on short trips in the car, or using refillable water bottles and kicking that plastic convenience habit!
I loved the layout of each chapter and thought they were set out in a very concise and easy format to read with lots of pauses to give you chance to reflect on the information given. It it absolutely chock-full of tips and ways to help save our world and I will definitely be implementing them! It's also full of facts and figures with targets set by certain countries or organisations and the impact we humans have had on our planet. It's a book of hope though, of ways to drive the focus towards a better way of living and to look after our fragile world.
Quick and easy read, sharing plenty of simple ideas to lower your personal environmental impact. Have to admit a bit basic if you are already interested in the subject but nice if you’re just starting and want some actionable ideas. Plus for fun illustrations in the Polish translation and for including some local statistics to compare vs global averages.
A clear concise shortlist of small everyday things we can do. Good reading for those who have reneged on their earlier ideals or are in denial about how every little bit helps, and for those with young kids who need a bit of encouragement to join the movement. It isn't sophisticated but then that was never what it set out to be. A valuable book.
A good read full of simple ideas get yourself on the path to helping the environment in a small way or two. Some of the information really was eye opening and has certainly set me on the right path towards being a bit more aware in the home.
This book would be useful if not being published. I was looking for some real useful ideas, not advices kinda "use less water, turn the light" If you're thinking about buying it, just read the content. It's a pity so much paper was wasted for this book.. 🤦
Loved this book! Lots of simple and effective ways to reduce your environmental footprint. I think most readers will come across ideas that they haven’t thought of before.
The book has many valuable information, but for me it’s all said to mildly, I mean the environmental crisis is a huge issue, but they show it as some slight inconvenience.
If you haven't read anything about recycling or environmentalism, it's a good place to start. It's got some life hacks and it's some interesting background.
