Thanks to this book one of our kittens didn't die after birth. My roommate and I were both totally unaware of what could happen during birth. We'd had cats for years but never had kittens. So at 2am on a work day we helped the last of the four little ones survive by doing something as simple as opening the bubble it was in (sorry I have the German edition and don't know the term in English) as the mom Häxli was too exhausted. Today Artemis is still with us after the other three moved out and is a very wild and bright little cat.
