All three books in the Fair Trade series together in one volume. Curl up for a great binge read!! Fair Trade I also gave an extra point for the most excellent exit quote at the end of the story. Hilarious. Another point was awarded for making me like Caroline. OMG!! The dialogue was hilarious. I’m sorry, it was too good. ~ Amazon reviewer This was a super fun romp through the P&P universe. ~ Amazon reviewerA Beau Bon-Bon Christmas This was a delightful story full of snow, sleigh rides, and baking contests for the bragging rights for the best dessert in Meryton. ~ Amazon reviewer I loved this story from beginning to end. I definitely loved this version of Mrs Bennet. ~ Amazon reviewerDarcy's Match I must say that I definitely love this Lydia Bennet in the Fair Trade books and would love to see her make a "good catch" as Mrs. Bennet says. I'm hoping there will be more of this series in the future. ~ Amazon reviewer This story had me on the edge of my seat hoping everyone would end up happy, and it delivered at the end. ~ Amazon reviewer
The Fair Trade Omnibus consists of three delightful stories to be read in sequence to get the whole story. The author has plotted a new course for the Pride and Prejudice characters.
The story is still beginning when Mr. Bennet dies and Mr. Collins wastes no time in displacing the Bennets. Longbourn now belongs to him and Charlotte, and they are eager to move in. Dear Readers, you can imagine the turmoil this causes for Mrs. Bennet and her five daughters.
But her daughters are more resilient than she imagined. After they have grieved the loss of their home, they discuss what they must do to continue their existence.
Some of the characters are cast in a different light. In fact, this is the first author who has made me like Lydia! Sometimes there is a little variation that plays so well that I chuckle and say, "I see what you did."
There are new characters and new situations that enrich the storyline. Aside from Mrs. Bennet, there is a great deal of matchmaking going on. I hope you will enjoy this offering as much as I did.
My first foray into Ms Bedlow’s P/P realms, & book #1 had me in a dither (picture Mrs Bennett’s hand fluttering lace handkerchief double time) the first 2/3rd of the book—but as saying goes alls well that ends well and so it did & my admiration of the author grew apace. The series is akin to wrapping a warm shawl around you, watching a nicely crackling fire, while enjoying your fav blend of hot tea as you contemplate the evening outside. The characters grow on you & become friends despite their foibles. Love how the Bennett sisters grow stronger & more determined to overcome any obstacle while their familial love grows stronger still. Not sure I can appreciate Mr Darcy’s 2nd proposal w/anything but side eye, but there it is. It worked. Don’t hesitate to spend a weekend or several weeknights enjoying this series. Will def read again—Most happy if the HEA’s.
I don’t remember what made me choose this omnibus in kindle unlimited, as I’d never read anything by this author before, and I almost quit in the first few chapters of the first book. Something kept me reading on, for which I am so glad! It truly picked up, to the point I spent several nights into the not so early morning reading! Each story was wonderful, though a bit off of canon, which made them more intriguing! The plots were great! The characters drew me in. In fact, I even liked Lydia! This omnibus is the way to go, so you can just read straight through!
Three stories in sequence, giving us a delightful alternate universe beginning the day after the Netherfield ball. Plenty of wit, excitement, and romance from the usual cast, and a few non-canon characters add to the fun. A little angst, a creative plot and good writing and editing add up to an enjoyable read.
I really enjoyed these tales! So many new directions for the characters, yet they each retained their essence and blossomed. The ending of the first book seemed a bit rushed at the end, but by the end of the third, i wanted there to be three more.
Three novels and I skimmed past chapters and still followed the plots and subplots without fail. Seriously, chapters were dedicated to the balls. The three novels would have made one decent novel.
This is not for Jane Austin purests but it is a fun read if you ignore some of the sillier things. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this light hearted, happy series. I enjoyed Darcy and Elizabeth being the backbone of all the stories. Where is Kitty’s story, though??
It was a perfect treat to read all three books back to back! I had enjoyed them each when they came out separately on unlimited, so I was very happy to buy the "boxed" set.
Readable. Not the best P&P fanfic I've read but the characters and storylines were well-handled and it was a smooth read with a lot going on to keep the reader's interest.
