When I walk into Sugar and Slice Pizzeria, I don’t expect to leave so damn hungry.
But the moment I lock eyes with Mirabella, I’m craving so much more.
Her curves, her cute-ass smile, and the dark curls in her hair… she’s everything.
She may be taking my order but I’m ready to tell her exactly what to do.
I don’t want her behind that counter — I want her in my bed.
Now and forever.

Dear Reader,
This is a one-slice situation.
Short and filthy-sweet, it’s the perfect 1-hour lunch break read!
Matt and Mirabella want this HEA as badly as you do.
It’s got extra cheese and it’s hot from the oven!

A cute contemporary romance short story. It's packed with slices of love and determination. And a dash of fear, second thought and s*x.

⭐⭐⭐ for love might begin in first sight but the determination for believing in love is the beginning of a wonderful future.

Not gonna rate this one because it truly took me like 20 mins to read, but I was not a fan. I have read more than my fair share of short and to the point smutty romances, but this one was WAY too insta-love with not enough of the sexy-sexy for it to work for me. Meh

TW// mentions of cancer, mention of death (parents)

Pizza My Heart is the first novella in a series of short, steamy, food related romances. This book lacks plot and character development. Instead it focuses on quick smut with instalove. It definitely isn’t for everyone, but surprisingly my issues with this book didn’t have to do with those elements.

My issues with this book had to do with the men. I didn’t see Matt’s appeal. He came on way too strong and some of his wording made it seem like he was trying to pressure Mirabella into a relationship. For example, when she first turned him down, he said "Just like that? Not even gonna pretend you're not interested?" If a man ever says that to you after you choose to not give him your number, run the other way because he is definitely a creep. Then there’s Mirabella’s brother, Tony. He is way too possessive and controlling of his sister.

I really enjoyed Mirabella as a character and I liked how fast paced the story was, but the men ruined the book for me.

'Si hay un hombre digno de mi amor, no se asustará por lo que hay esparcido entre los cristales rotos. De hecho, a un hombre digno de mi amor no le importará sangrar un poco para mantener mi corazón para siempre'.

Pizza my Heart de Frankie Love serie The way to a men's Heart 1

This one was a sweet read and light steam.

Matt is about work and working out with his friends until he stops at a pizza place and sees his true love his one and only Maribella.. he talks to her he is abit cocky and gets shot down since Maribella had health scare in the past and is closed off.  And also a over protective brother who tries to scare away Matt.. but Matt isnt giving up he goes back to win her over and she does give in and also tells him her health scare (she had cancer) the date goes 0 to 100 these two are so cute together.

?? Did Matt change his name to
Matteo?? Or is that a nickname? Cuz once the sex happened she started calling him Metteo? Lol

No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary chara, sexy time, virgin girl no manwhore

Good

This was a really sweet, heartfelt and sexy story. Mirabella and Matteo instantly click, he knows she is the one for him. Mirabella has had it rough. Her brother is overprotective and tries to scare Matt off but he is not letting his love go that easily. These two characters just fit together. Mirabella wanted to live a normal life and Matt was willing to give her everything she desired.

Safety and Spoilers
Completely safe. No ow drama, brother tries to scare H off in the beginning but H came back next day ready to claim his woman. H’s past isn’t mentioned and h is a virgin. No abuse. h suffered from ovarian cancer.

This was just what I needed for the month of love. It was quick, extremely cheezy (pun intended), and left me with a smile on my face. Matt and Mirabella were both looking for love and reading about them falling in love added happiness to my lunch break while I was reading it.

I’m glad to see that this will be a series because I need more cute insta love stories in my life!

I received an ARC for an honest review.

Ya'll, I'm trying to branch out this year with other genres, and 'romance' is my least read one. I laughed my way through this and it was actually pretty fun, in an eye-rolling, insta-love, "oh my god really" kind of way! 🍕🤷😂

Also, I didn't realize this would have a ton of pizza puns & very descriptive sex scenes, hahahaha. 😳😳😳😳

A cute, albeit it felt too fast, romance book about a guy who meets a girl and falls head over heels with her. There were things I enjoyed... but plenty I didn't. Sadly.

I came across this book I believe through a book blog. I was interested immediately, the punny title, the semi-sexy half-naked dude, pizza, romance. I have to say I did enjoy this book, but the insta-love + how he just wanted to marry her were quite off-putting.

Yes, because that is how it goes. He meets Mirabella and instantly decides she will be his wife. BOOM. Like that. It was frankly a bit creepy and it felt rushed as heck. I get that you like her and that you are interested but please take it slow. This just felt so fake. Thankfully, there were parts that were a more realistic and a bit better and I could enjoy the romance at those points and I was awwing and delighted that these two found each other.

Matt(eo) was a pretty OK guy, though again it was creepy how he immediately wanted to marry a girl. Dude, just no. But I did like learning more about him, and I found it sweet that he didn't let the whole Tony situation come between him and Mirabella. I loved reading about his restaurant, about his home, and loved his workouts (sadly, we just get one).

Mirabella was smitten yes, love at first sight, but at least she didn't want to marry him instantly. But this sentence just had me thinking that maybe she should date a bit more: "Well, technically the only date of my life..". Girl, what? Then again.. with that brother of her it kind of doesn't amaze me. Still a bit weird that apparently she never dated but now magically she can. Still, to cry over a perfect kiss.... wow. I do love Mirabella and I love that she is working hard, that is showing the world she is a survivor, that she is strong.

Tony was just annoying. Bro, I get that your sister had something terrible. You lost your parents and you are worried you will lose her too. But you know what... this attitude of yours? That is going to make her leave and not because of how fragile you think she is (which she clearly isn't). Treat her like a human, treat her normal. Now you are just barging in all the time.

There is also plenty of sex at one point in various ways. I did feel it was a bit fast, but hey, if people want to have sex on their first date, go ahead... it is just not for me. I did love the sex scenes, they were written really well.

The ending. Oh Lord. My rating before the epilogue, oh 3 stars because of the insta love and some other elements but it was good at other points, my rating after the epilogue, oh good lord, 2 stars, people why?

This is such a shame. I get that you only have 51 pages to fill, but do you need to rush everything? Do you need to instalove? Do you need to immediately go to proposals? This could have been fine if it just took it a bit slower, maybe add some epilogues like you do here with a time skip.

Will I be reading the next books? Definitely. Yes. I want to see if those are maybe better paced.

Look, no SHADE, this isn’t BAD, it’s a quick-straight to the point novella following a guy who waltzes into a pizzeria and meets the girl of his dreams. My only issue is..the deal with contemporary romances ESPECIALLY novellas I’ve been reading with these innocent ass heroines. I GET IT! Not every girl is out here and experienced. I GET IT..I am just starting to side eye these authors. As a readers I’m starting to feel like authors feel THATS the standard for who deserves a Happy Ever After in their romance. It’s a personal thing, it’s a thing I’ve noticed..it’s a preference. Like I want to see more.

It's been a while since I DNFed a book. It was 50 pages and I made it through 30. I don't mind insta-love but there was zero buildup, which wouldn't have been a problem if there was even a tiny bit of chemistry. Neither had any discernible personality that made me want to keep reading. Dude just kept saying how hot she was. I couldn't even make it to the sex scene. Ugh.

I want to know her by heart

Cute, fun and quick hot read. Safe, no cheating, no abuse, virgin h, no mention of H's past. h is in cancer remission, epilogues at 1 & 5 years. Perfect story for a quickie lunchtime read.

This one was, in my opinion, so unrealistic, which is something I usually can't appreciate. However, I definitely enjoyed this one, even though it was short, and the pizza talk made me hungry.

Deep Dish Naughtiness...

I was salivating over this hot sexy novella and it wasn't just because of all the pizza references. Matt just wanted a pizza when he strutted into the Sugar and Slice Pizzeria, but he ended up with much more. His eyes feasted over the girl behind the counter, Mirabella. She stunned him stupid and he knew right then and there she was the one for him. She was delectable and gorgeous.

Mirabella had the same super electric spark for Matt. This was more sassy and sizzling hot than a wood fire pizza oven.

Quick and Cute

I always have such a hard time with romance novellas because I always feel like the romance happens to quickly. I’ve learned that I’m a slow burn type of girl. Haha. But with this I decided to suspend by disbelief and just go with it. I’m doing so I was able to enjoy the book a lot more even if some parts were cheesy. I did think it was cute. There were some phrases that were awkward and I found the sex scene to be a tad bit over the top but overall it was quick read and I’ll be picking up the next one.

This is book one in The Way to a Man's Heart series. When Matt stops in at the Sugar and Slice Pizzaria, he finds more than a slice of pizza to fill his belly. He sees Mirabella and immediately wonders how to best approach her and to convince her that she is his one. Little does he know she feels the same way. A short and sweet read that moves quickly but does not miss or skip a beat along the way. Enjoy!

Ok, this is a low substance but adorable insta love romance. It's short- I think it took me about 20 minutes to read. Maybe less but I have kids that interrupt me :) But I smiled a lot because as corny as it is, it was sweet. Just expect a short, unbelievable but smile inducing romance that has little substance but a bit of heart. I'll read the others in this series just because I assume that they are all as cute as this one.

Overall I like the “book shot” idea ... but for a book this short there should not be continuity issues. The restaurant and grandmother are introduced as Angelina and then in chapter 4 it changes to Angelica and then in the end it changes back to Angelina again. In a book this short, made to be read on a lunch break, a mistake like name switching is glaringly obvious and should have been caught during editing.

REAL RATING: 2.5 🌟
》It was not that bad... It was very cringe in some moments. 🙈 I don't understand why it was necessary to be written two epilogues. 🤨 But this doesn't bother me as much.
》Probably I was too tired to enjoy it properly 😴 but I still think it's just an easy read for when you want to kill the time waiting for an appointment or so. 🤷‍♀️
》I do not recommend it if you are in a reading slump. 😬

This was better than some of the other short romances I have tried to read this year, but I still wasn’t loving it. I might try book two to see how I feel about it though. I think the covers are colorful and goofy so I wanted to like the short books, but idk.

It was just so insta-lovey and I get that it is short but I have read short before and LOVED so you can make it work ok.

Matt walks into a pizza shop and instantly has an attraction for Mirabella. He asks her out on a date for the very next day.
