This story centres around Martha Packer and her family who adopt a pair of runaways to save them from the workhouse. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more from this author.
From start to finish this book has been a page turner from Ella to Leo and her sister Jeannie and everyone else if I could give this more than five stars I would Jennie Felton is a great author drags you into the story line from the beginning tears and laughter along the way with a brilliant ending if you haven't already read this book then I highly recommend that you do
This is a story that is hard to put down once you start to read it. I think it is the characters that are keeping me hooked on it. There are also some twists in the story that keep the reader guessing.
It’s a story about Martha the Landlady of the three Feathers pub but before the bar maid And the live of her and husband Seb Her children and ones she has lost take on 2 runaway orphans from the workhouse and how their lives continue to change and the tragedies before and after A great emotional read highly recommend it
