"What do I want the world to know? Great question. Know about what? Me? I am certainly a black sheep. At times, yes, I can be a wolf. I am more than that, though. I’m much more than words on a page. I am compassionate and kind. I care a lot about people, all kinds of people. I always think about the kids I impact and how badly I want to warn them about life and how excruciating it can be, but I can’t do that. It’s my job to provide guidance but I can’t save everyone. All I can do is wake up, wear the white hat, and do what’s right. Don’t get me wrong, the white hat comes off at times, not intentionally, but it does. The beauty, though, is that I can always put it back on. You never really lose the white hat, even if you forget to wear it. It’s at home on your dresser or maybe your dog is holding onto it for you. It’s waiting for you. I want the kids to know that no matter what their mistake is, no matter what bad decisions they make, it’s never too late to start again."
