Boo vient d'absorber San Gohan.
Akira Toriyama (鳥山明) was a Japanese manga artist and character designer. He first achieved mainstream recognition for creating the popular manga series Dr. Slump, before going on to create Dragon Ball (his most famous work) and acting as a character designer for several popular video games such as the Dragon Quest series, Chrono Trigger, and Blue Dragon. Toriyama came to be regarded as one of the most important authors in the history of manga with his works highly influential and popular, particularly Dragon Ball, which many manga artists cite as a source of inspiration. He earned the 1981 Shogakukan Manga Award for best shōnen/shōjo manga with Dr. Slump, and it went on to sell over 35 million copies in Japan. It was adapted into a successful anime series, with a second anime created in 1997, 13 years after the manga ended. His next series, Dragon Ball, would become one of the most popular and successful manga in the world. Having sold 260 million copies worldwide, it is one of the best-selling manga series of all time and is considered a key work in increasing manga circulation to its peak in the mid-1980s and mid-1990s. Overseas, Dragon Ball's anime adaptations have been more successful than the manga and are credited with boosting anime's popularity in the Western world. In 2019, Toriyama was decorated a Chevalier of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres for his contributions to the arts. In October 2024, Toriyama was inducted into the Harvey Awards Hall of Fame.
Boohoohoo!! What am I going to read now – Marvel and DC superheroes seem crappier in comparison!
Ahh… but what a great ending! It went out with a bang in the best possible way. I am totally satisfied.
Going into this book, you know Son Goku is going to beat Boo and I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say that he does – what, he was going to lose, everyone would die and Boo would fly off, ready to destroy everything else in the universe? But there’s absolutely no way in knowing how it gets to that point, and I loved that unpredictability.
What can I say without going into spoilers? It’s an enormously ambitious final arc that’s extra-long. The previous book ended with Son Goku and Vegeta both back from the dead and ready to face Boo – there was no one else, they were the last barrier. And that’s an inspired setup, especially with the potara earrings which fuses the two, which we briefly see at the start of this book (by the way, Vegerot is the worst name ever!). But it’s almost like Akira Toriyama’s sensing that this isn’t good enough and he has Vegeta smash up the earring – this isn’t how we’re going to win.
There on out, all bets are off and it’s one surprise after another until the final final final fight between Goku and Boo. It’s also THE best way the series could’ve gone out. It incorporates everyone from the series – all 42 volumes! – into it in a way that’s not contrived and is completely epic and fitting.
Vegeta has some great scenes here and he even grows as a character by the end. He started out as the bad guy at the beginning of Dragon Ball Z and manages to find some redemption by the end so that he’s almost – almost – a good guy. It’s a brilliant arc.
Then it’s 10 years later and I won’t say how everyone turns out, but it’s happy endings all round. I will say though that the final scene of the book is kinda brilliant – well, that and the one before it. The Strongest Under the Heavens tournament makes another appearance, and the ending is open-ended enough to allow Toriyama to return to Dragon Ball if he wanted to. That said, this title ended in 1995 and, to my knowledge, he hasn’t felt the need to come back.
It’s a great ending though that reinforces the positive message of the series: try your best at everything you do and never stop learning! For me, it’s up there with the endings of Transmetropolitan and Scalped as among the finest finales in comics.
Dragon Ball, you were awesome – I’ll miss you!

This next part is a series overview/mash note to Akira Toriyama that’s separate from the final volume’s review above.
I started reading this series back at the start of July this year and, as I write this, it’s the day before Halloween. This title is 42 volumes long (Dragon Ball is 16 books, Dragon Ball Z is 26) and you don’t read this many books in under four months if they’re no good. Nor does a series sell millions and millions of copies unless it’s really something.
I highly recommend the series to any comics fans but it does have special significance for me. I came across Dragon Ball for the first time as a kid living in Japan many years ago but couldn’t read it because I was a toddler and couldn’t read any language, Japanese or English! The books literally stayed with me for years, even though I couldn’t read them. I don’t know why it took me so long to get around to it but I’m so glad I finally took the plunge this year and got to understand the characters and their stories behind the pictures. And a lot of it was new to me because I never got into the popular anime series.
Dragon Ball goes from being a Chinese myth mixed in with contemporary/futuristic Japanese society to cosmic superheroes and the end of the world. It’s a helluva journey but it wouldn’t be anything without the characters. Son Goku is now firmly up there as one of my favourite characters in literature ever (even though there was a really weird panel in one of the books where he smacks his wife Chi Chi “playfully” and breaks her arm!).
The supporting cast is fantastic and has the unique quality of being almost entirely made up of former enemies: Vegeta, Piccolo, Tenshinhan, even Boo by the end! All of them fought Goku once upon a time, and all lost – but he still kept them around as his friends. And that’s what I love about the series too: its message of redemption and forgiveness.
But at its core it’s a martial arts comic and the biggest impression Dragon Ball left on me was how good fighting could be in a comic. Up until this series I’d seen fights in superhero comics from DC and Marvel and they almost never interested me. They felt like filler or a dumb way of keeping the reader’s attention, like jangling keys in front of a baby.
Toriyama elevated comics fighting to an art form. I can’t stress enough how compelling the fighting in this series is. Some battles are literally book-length fights yet they were never boring and always served the story – in fact, the two were inextricably linked. THIS is how you combine action and story.
Now when I read fights in Marvel/DC books, I’m always disappointed. The fights are over within a couple pages – maybe five pages max – and they never feel fluid or kinetic. The characters are static on the page and everything feels staged, like a WWE match.
“Fighting comics” sounds like a really dumb sub-genre until you see how Toriyama does it in Dragon Ball. It takes real skill to maintain the excitement and interest in a fight between two figures that lasts for hundreds of pages, and Toriyama has that in spades. I’ve yet to see anyone’s treatment of a fight top Toriyama’s.
Dragon Ball is not a perfect series and there are a few average books dotted about here and there, even a couple of poor ones. But looking at that number again – 42. He wrote and drew 42 books in this series! - the good easily outweighs the bad to an overwhelming degree and it’s incredible he produced as many good to great ones as he did.
The story, the art, the cast, the originality, the imagination, and Toriyama and his Bird Studio assistants at the centre of it all, keeping it going – Dragon Ball is rightfully a modern classic and a true benchmark in quality comics.
There's a lot that has been said of the Majin Buu saga, but in the final volume of all the original Dragon Ball it's more about the series as a whole than just that storyline alone.
Yes, it was a long back-and-forth of different versions of Buu and different characters fusing and training to defeat new versions until it all ended here.
And yes, such a strange choice to have Gohan awaken his inner power only to immediately be absorbed. Then, after so much buildup about passing the baton... Goku is the one who gets to save the day yet again. Doesn't feel right.
It was satisfying though to bring back the Spirit Bomb from the first big Dragon Ball showdown again, and have all of humanity help to take down the evilest version of Buu. Mr. Satan got to have a moment too!
All in all this series has contributed so much to the genre of shonen manga. It had it's flaws, some of it aged badly, but it was full of imagination and heart and I'd heartily recommend reading the entirety to anyone who loves adventure :)
(I) A new evil has arrived in the Dragon Ball Z Universe and its name is Super Boo.
(II) Goten and Trunks have successfully transformed into Gotenks, except that Super Boo tricked them and absorbed them including Gohan.
(III) Goku is luckily alive now that the original Lord of Lords sacrificed his life to resurrect Goku who now is Earth's last hope.
That is what you missed on Dragon Ball Z!
We have finally arrived at the final volume of this manga series and I couldn't be anymore excited and proud. In total I have read 42 volumes of Goku's live and I cannot believe this is the end but the journey was worthwhile. I have never read 42 volumes of mangas which is excruciating because I have been editing all the Goodreads information from the titles, the descriptions, and the images to make it authentic and perfect. It is exhausting editing for 42 volumes but it is worth it because I love this series and highly recommend it for all readers.
Dragon Ball Z is overrated for many because it impacted our mainstream animation for decades now. The mangas were already popular, then came the animation which lasted for over 100 episodes each series (Dragon Ball & Dragon Ball Z) and then you have the video games and all other merchandises. Just writing it alone it is tiring but nonetheless I love and cherish this series. I believe it is one of the all-time greatest with Sailor Moon and other famous Mangas.
In a way I felt as though you grow up with these characters. You witness Goku from as a child and you get to see him as full adult with children and hopefully grandchildren in the future. While Goku is the main protagonist, you get to witness that he is already accepted that the new era of fighters is approaching and he needs to retire but not without a fight!
Goku witness Gotenks and Gohan getting absorbed by Super Boo and now needs to fuse with another strong fighter in order to beat Super Boo. At first you believe it is going to be the pathetic Hercules but luckily at the last minute Vegeta is able to come back to Earth like how Goku did in the previous volumes and fuse with Goku. It is interesting how Vegeta was able to put his pride aside because never in a millions years you would think that Vegeta would bond with Goku in order to become a stronger fighter and help humanity.
They become essentially Super Vegerot and beat the living shit out of Boo. I know every volume there is always fighting and I am writing constantly how badly these fights out but its true worth the read to witness these different fighting sequences. Super Boo tries to pull the same stunts to Vegerot but it doesn't work since they are not idiots. In the moment that the blob is going to absorb Vegerot, they enable a force field that is able to protect them and they are able to enter Super Boo is cellular form.
Now that they are inside Super Boo, they witness that everyone is still alive inside of Super Boo's organs, they are simply tied to him in a cocoon. Vegerot finally reverts back to their original selves and Vegeta destroys the earrings never again to fuse again with Goku. They help released their friends and escape except Super Boo notices what they are doing and enters inside his body. He tells them not to cut the original Boo out of his body because at that point he will lose that tiny shred of humanity and become a spawn of pure evil. They don't listen to him and immediately he is transformed into Kid Boo.
The difference between Super Boo and Kid Boo is that Kid Boo has no moral compass and works with pure evil and anger as fuel and has no limit in his abilities. The gang escape to Kaio-Shin's planet and Kid Boo follows them. Vegeta is already dead so they fight will Goku finds a way to save his strength and destroy Kid Boo. Meanwhile Dende reach the planet where the Namekians live and ask them to summon the Dragon Balls to help his friends and the Earth. He is able to restore the Earth back before Boo destroyed it and summon everyone who is not evil and have been killed by Boo which they are all granted.
Goku makes the connection that the only way to destroy Kid Boo is by summoning Genki-Dama which is a chi-ball that worked in the previous volumes with destroying Freeza and other people. He receives a bit of chi from his family and friends, the planet but not enough to kill Kid Boo. The clock is ticking and now the Original Boo decides to fight Kid Boo to help the gang. Vegeta at that instant finally accepts that Goku is the ultimate fighter. Vegeta makes the connection that Goku never became a stronger fighter because of pride or simply being the best, Goku essentially was humble about the whole experience and simply wanted to protect those who he loves, and the Earth that he lives in.
Vegeta at that instant I believe completely changes and I absolutely love this moment. I felt like at this moment Vegeta is redeemed by his past and accepts Goku as a friend. Vegeta makes the connection that this time Goku has saved the Earth too many times and for once he needs a break. Goku alone cannot destroy Kid Boo and Vegeta tells him that Earth should be the one to help Goku and destroy Kid Boo because if they don't then in all honesty they really don't deserve their planet to be saved.
Vegeta with Lord of the Worlds help, he announces to all humans to give their chi to Goku to help destroy Boo. Goku receives like about 10% which is pathetic and you can hear the thoughts of people who believe this message is Bobbidi and refuse to help. Vegeta is losing his patience with screaming and not apologizing for his language and forces them to help. Kid Boo beats Boo and witness Goku and is trying to stop him so Vegeta is trying to fight Kid Boo with no success. Humans keep arguing until finally Goku speaks and ask for their help.
In that instant I wanted to cry because that scene in the manga is what makes this entire series come into full circle. We witness every single individual that Goku has encounter since he was a little boy and we see them after all these years/volumes and they give their all to Goku. We witness Android #17, Upa & Bora, Frankenstein, and the entire snow village from Dragon Ball. They provide now 50% power-up which is extremely powerful but still not enough and humans are still being a pain in the a@$.
Finally Hercules yells from the top of his lungs saying that give their chi to him to destroy Kid Boo and sure enough in 1 second, the chi-ball reaches 100% and Kid Boo attacks. The chi-ball is the size of the moon and nothing can stop this attacks but still it is hard to release this attack since Goku is powerless. So Dende ask for his 3rd wish to restore Goku's normal levels of power and it is granted. Goku has reached his peak and devours Kid Boo within the chi-ball. As he wishes Boo farewell, he admires that Boo fought all by himself and practically killed everyone and hopes one day he could be resurrected as a good guy so that way Goku can fight him.
Kid Boo is destroyed and the Earth is saved. I cannot believe it is finally over. No one more evil, danger, and peace to the galaxy. Vegeta wants to kill the original Boo but Hercules doesn't allow him and in order to protect him on Earth, they erase everyone's memories of Boo in order for him to be safe. The gang meet back up at Kami-Sama's palace and it is the best feeling in the world to be reunited with your family again.
Everyone forgets about Boo but they know that somehow Hercules saved them from something and once you believe the story is over it is not quite. We are shifted 10 years into the future which would put Goku is in mid-30s or late 30s and everyone is living the wonderful life. Gohan quit fighting, got married to Videl, and has a kid name Pan who is a mini-Videl excited to compete. Goten and Trunks are teenagers now and Goten looks horrible with that messy hair but Trunks looks marvelous. Goku is hanging out with Vegeta, Bulma, and the rest of the gang as they are getting ready for the Tenkaichi Budokai tournament.
No one understands why Goku is competing but apparently this new fighter has shown up and is quite powerful to Goku estimates. Goku makes sure that this contestant fights him and as the match begins we learn it is a little boy named Oob. I didn't make the connection at first and felt like an idiot but Oob is the reincarnation of Boo! Duh! Well Oob doesn't want to fight and Goku teases him until Oob strikes back and he is powerful and never knew about his abilities and strength.
So in the end Goku becomes Oob's master and they fly far away so they can begin their training and help the next generation of fighters. I really loved this ending because it went back to the roots of Dragon Ball especially how Oob is the new kid Goku. I love endings of the stories that leave it wipe open in case Akira Toriyama decides to continue the series in manga form or anime. After Dragon Ball Z ended, it makes you wonder about what new evil will come to Earth now that Oob is this powerful fighter and wanting more Goku adventures to come.
Knowing how impactful the anime is for both Western and Japanese Cultures, you would think they would continue the anime after the conclusion of Boo. Nope. They focus on the video games more and made a few movies that take place a few years after the ending with this God of Destroyer who looks like an Egyptian cat. Then they did re-edits of the original anime and it is now that in Japan they have started the new Dragon Ball Z sequel called Dragon Ball Super that takes place 18 years later after the defeat of Kid Boo. I don't know any details since I haven't seen the anime yet.
I cannot believe I am saying Goodbye to Goku and all these hilarious unique characters but I know they will always be a part of my memories and my childhood. I loved every second of this magnificent journey and for now I believe it is a temporary farewell. Who knows what will happen in the future and it would fantastic if Akira Toriyama continues the manga after all these years as a tribute to the fans. Thank You Akira Toriyama for this enchanting story and all the handwork you have put into Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. Goodbye.
Although I wasn't enjoying the series for quite some time, I still thought the finale was good. While I wasn't as much interested in the fight with Boo (what a Boo-ring villain, eh?), I absolutely loved everything afterwards — Hercule's awesome granddaughter Pan, the reincarnated boy Oob, Goku and the final Strongest Under the Heavens championship were all the things that I always loved about Dragon Ball, and I'm glad the series ended on that instead of just winning the fight against Boo.
My overall impression of this 42-volume series is... mixed, I guess. I would rate the first 16 volumes, or the series known just as 'Dragon Ball', a solid 5 out of 5. It was awesome, imaginative, light-hearted and fun. What followed as 26 volumes of 'Dragon Ball Z' though, I'd give 3 out of 5 — this is really not the same series as it was before. Dragon Ball Z was, more often than not, a boring, convoluted, uninspired mess with formulaic plots and villains, and while it sometimes managed to reach the same heights as the regular Dragon Ball, it didn't have the same overall feel of the great adventure, and every arc was a bit weaker and duller than the previous one. Dragon Ball Z? More like Dragon Ball Zzz...
Still, I had a lot of great times with the series. Reading all 42 volumes of this acclaimed manga series wasn't always an easy endeavor, but in the end, I feel like it was worthwhile.
Goodbye Dragon World, indeed! It's a bitter-sweet goodbye, as I really wanted this adventure to continue. Toriyama's world is absolutely amazing, and his DB/DBZ volumes serve as the best uplifting read I've had for years. And yet, the ending was just perfect.
This volume was filled with action and emotion, and I was laughing and gasping and shaking my fists like a madwoman - all testament to Toriyama's skill and not signs of my imminent mental breakdown, I assure you. The whole Boo arc gets a great, wonderfully unpredictable and yet expected solution here, and I loved how everyone played a part in it, wrapping up 42 volumes in what felt like an entirely natural, nay, the only right and proper, way. There's a lot of drama and a lot of humor, as usual, and Toriyama's imagination and art skill seem to have no bounds. Of course, Goku will always remain my absolute uncontested favorite, but Vegeta's grown so much over the series that I can't help but like and respect him, too. Heck, I even started to like Hercule, and I never ever thought I'd say that ;).
Ending it all with a Strongest Under the Heavens Tournament was a masterstroke. I know that there's the new DB Super, but until it gets waaay better than it currently is I'll deny its existence and consider the 42 volumes of Dragon Ball a finished, complete work :D.
A very satisfying conclusion. We get Goku and Vegeta both back from the dead to help fight. Vegeta may secretly be the best Dragon Ball Z character. He's himself to the end, a bit evil - but his ploy to have the people of Earth help defeat Boo gets the job done.
I'm glad that in the end Earth's true hero was Hercule. Haha, but honestly - he does play a major role in helping defeat Boo!
We get a 10-years later scene that is really heart-warming.
So I have done it. I finally have reached the end of this long journey that is known as Dragon Ball. This last volume wrapped up the series so perfect. It was also awesome to see little surprises from the very first 16 volumes of Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball will now and forever be one of my favorites for many reasons and one I will continue to watch and read for years to come. If anyone is interested in anime or manga, I highly highly recommend Dragon Ball because it has made that much of an impact in the anime world. Many manga artist credit Akira Toriyama and Dragon Ball for giving them inspiration. I would just like to thank Akira Toriyama for creating such a wonderfully colorful world and for allowing me to take this journey with Goku and his friends and family. I cannot wait to see where Dragon Super will take us. Here's hoping for many more years of Dragon Ball!
The only finale you could ever ask for. Everything comes together perfectly and ends wonderfully. If you grew up with these, you know the final action scene with Buu in the anime will always send chills down your spine. Mangaka Akira Toriyama simply nails the ending (which is quite rare with most manga series) and cranks up all the best things (comedy, drama, and action) about Dragon Ball Z in this send-off.
What an amazing journey so far! Akira Toriyama created an incredible, riveting, fun-filled world and I'm so grateful that this exists. Dragon Ball has secured the spot for my 2nd favorite manga of all time, just behind Berserk.
Dragon Ball offers a mix of mindless fun and incredible characterization. Although it is obviously not the most 'deep', concise work of fiction, it is without a doubt one of the most addicting manga out there.
I can't wait to watch the anime and start Dragon Ball Super!
We are finally at the end and what an epic volume it was, its an all out war between Goku and Boo or rather evil boo, first its vegito then when absorbed they rescue others and then when everything is extracted from this book, his evil self emerges and destroys the earth and so its upto Goku to save the world along with Vegeta and the way he uses the Genki-dama to defeat him is the greatest moment ever and then finally that ending we have been waiting for, it was a great ending actually. And end to one of the great villains ever. And then we have the emergence of 10 years later and what happens to everyone and evil Boo's resurrection as Oob and Goku fighting him and promise to train him and then the ultimate end to this series!
It was an epic series which was less words and more action and epic fights all throughout and the evolution of Goku and Z-warriors was amazing, getting to see him fight threats both old and new and how he evolves as a character was fantastic to see and the family moments were so cute. Like Vegeta said "A saiyan who loves to fight but is good" and that sums up Goku perfectly! Fantastic series by Toriyama-Sensei! Just epic! An end to a fantastic manga series!
And with that, I've officially finished (the original run of) Dragon Ball. 😭 Idk what to even say. It's Dragon Ball. I’m looking forward to reading Super but nothing will ever quite match the magic of the OG. The author's note from Toriyama at the end got me so choked up.
I'm so glad I read the manga. It gave me a newfound appreciation for a story/world/characters/franchise that I already loved dearly.
The Dragon Ball manga series is probably one of the best series out of a lot of them! It's filled with thrills, adventure, and kick butt action! In vol. 26 the evil majin buu is destroying towns and city and killing a bunch of people! Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and all of the others fight against this beast, hoping that buu will become nice one day! Personally I loved this volume the most being it's the one with the most action! If you haven't read #25, or any of the others than this one isn't for you. If your a big fan of the franchise, then why not? The season starts from Vol. 20-26 and happens to be a pretty long experience so you'll have something to look forward to!
I remember with fondness watching the orange brick DVDs of dragon ball with my brother when I was twelve, and he was ten. When we grew up we fought constantly, I was the instigator most of the time. We never were close, but for one fateful summer, we would gather snacks in the morning and make our way to the TV in the basement, and watch Goku and his friends overcome their trails. I had no idea at the time, but that became my favorite memory with my brother.
When Toriyama- Sensei passed earlier this year, I remembered this memory and I wanted to read his greatest work, Dragon Ball. I started at the beginning, and I have just now finished volume 42. Thank you Toriyama, for this wonderful world you have created.
I finished the first two parts of the series, Dragon Ball, and Dragon Ball Z. Over 8,200 pages long. and I still got to finish the third and final series; I will start that up in the new year.
Dragon Ball is one of the most popular comic series in the world, and you learn why. What a beautiful story. I am about to be in tears finishing it up... If Super didn't exist, I would be so incredibly sad.
There'll surely be more trouble along the way, but somehow, we will always get through.
can't do anything now but thinking about what'll happen later xD good that actually I already know that we have another series - dragon ball super - and I'll start to read it soon 😎
such a good series.. I admit the plot design might not be the best but no one can deny this is not entertaining... not sure if I am biased by nostalgia but this was a great adventure from start to finish. thank you Toriyama for this part of our childhoods
*stands up with tears in eyes and appluads* A wonderful conclusion for such an amazing and legendary series!!
This vol starts off with Goku and Vegeta's battle against the evil Majin Buu. I liked how this final vol didn't take itself too seriously and was full of humor. It had a great mix of humor and seriousness to make it very fun and just full of fast paced action and story telling!
There was also a lot of great strategy in this final battle. Vegeta's tactical genious as a fighter shines as he thinks out an amazing plan for victoy. All of his effort and sacrifice really show just how much Vegeta has developed as a character. And of course a favorite moment for many fans is when Vegeta finally acknowledges Goku as #1 and shows him his respect!
All the while, Hercule and Majin Buu are also shown to have great character development. Hercule's friendship with Majin Buu is really sweet and he does not hesitate at all to defend his friend, not caring at all at risking his life. The bond those 2 have is just very sweet and is a great example at how love and friendship can change someone for the better.
Now, my favorite thing about this final battle is the fact that the humans did their part in saving themselves. Our heroes are always the ones who fight and struggle to save them, but this time, humanity played a huge role in defeating Buu! Everyone's contribution helped in ending Buu's insane terror! It was not just Goku and Vegeta who fought and won. Alone, they stood no chance, but thanks to the help of Majin Buu, Hercule, the Gods, and humanity, Earth and the entire universe is saved from destruction.
After the final battle, 10 years pass. And Goku faces off with an opponent in the WMAT; a person he has been waiting for, for a very long time. It is a bittersweet ending that ends in hope and light because no matter what new terror and evil may rise, there will always be hope for victory because on Earth a new generation of fighters have been born who have the potential to save it and the universe.
Yes. Goku and all his friends legacy will live forever. __________________
Man, reading Dragon Ball has been such an amazing ride! It truly is an anime/manga like no otheer and though it may not be as 'deep' or 'complex' as other shows, there is a reason it is so beloved by many. It truly is an amazing story in its own right and it has had such an amazing impact on its fans lives. Mine included. Dragon Ball is so much more than just fighting, screaming, and transformations. It is a story of hope, love, redemption, forgiveness, family, strength, etc. It is a series that will forever remain #1 for me, for those very reasons and so much more!
Thank u Akira Toriyama for creating such a wonderful and amazing world. Farewell Dragon World. Until We Meet Again! ___________________
Oh and a final note!! DBZ is by far not the end of the series. All Dragon Ball fans must be sure to check out Dragon Ball Super!! It is a new anime series created by Akira Toriyama himself, and shows the story's continuation after the defeat of Majin Buu! Now, there is a manga version, but that is not created by Toriyama, but rather another editor. So, be sure to check out the anime to see Toriyama's work and continuation of the series!
Also, check out Jaco the Galactic Patrolman! This one shot, is just a manga. It has yet to be animatred! In it we get to see Goku's past and in it, it is finally revealed who Goku's mother is!
DB fans be sure to check out both Dragon Ball Super and Jaco the Galactic Patrolman,u will not be dissapointed!! _________________________
"Tackle life with as much energy as Goku! I'll try to do the same!" - Akira Toriyama
Dragon Ball Manga was inked very much good, the story of course the best one. Its fantasy meeting Shonen and Goku is a the most imaginably cool and cute and funny charachter. Charachter reminds me that there's just about a hundred charachters here, distributed in thirty one volumes some frail, weak, some strong like hell and some just wierd and funny and humbug. The story goes:- Goku is the main protagonist of the series and he is approached by a girl named Bulma who's in search for the dragon balls on their way they meet an old man who tries to gets seduced, Kame Sama. And theres Krulin, a young monk fighter and also oolong and yamcha. The villian for the first half of the volumes is the blue empereor and the Red Ribbon Gang. Along the way, the droagon is summoned and can grant you any wish. Any at all. But what happens when the power falls in dark hands? Then theres goku and the gang coming in! For the rescue of course. They difeat the coloured rangers and ninjas and robotic machines, giant snakes and all is well in the end. Piccolo also appears later at the Bodukai Tournament. It is held about seven times in the whole series and it just amazes me. Truly great stuff. Piccolo somehow is defeated and sealed away while he also sends down his son Kid Picollo to get his revenge upon Goku. There's a great fight but in the end Picollo is just defeated by Goku and gets mad. The second half of the volumes namely Dragon Ball Z portrayes a race of saiyans who want to capture the earth. These volumes go deep in the history of planets around the earth, Namek especially and in Goku's history and his past. Here are the worlds greatest villians like Frieza and Vegeta and also Buu and The ANDROids. Each one anothers boss. Then theres the plo where Goku and Vegeta have kids and they can transform themselves into super saiyans form and get the whole power. Just a great series that i have admired and read. Truly readable. Recommended to this whole GALAXYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.
The last Dragon Ball Z, written by Akira Toriyama, had done a fantastic job on writing and drawing these stories. In the story, they are having problems with a different Buu that has been created from a different Buu! He is much stronger and has never had a problem this terrible before. Goku had then thought of a plan that could possibly be the only way to save the Earth. Goku had thought of fusing with Vegeta using the Potara earrings which will fuse the two together making them even stronger then before. They had accomplished defeating Buu but they had just caused even more problems showing that he had changed into a smaller yet more dangerous form that before. Goku and Vegeta could not fuse no more because Vegeta had enough with the fusing idea and had crushed the potara using his bare hands. Later they had finally defeated Buu and resurrected the people Buu has killed besides the bad people. It has then passed 10 years since Goku and his friends had defeated Majin Buu, living in peace and happiness throughout their plant Earth. For the time being, Pan ( Gohan's daughter and Goku's granddaughter) is training to fight in the martial arts tournament and had flew around the Earth multiple times! The reason they are going to enter into the tournament is because he has felt an energy very strong like no other and wants to fight them. But who is this person?
Buku terakhir Dragon Ball Z! Lalu tamat. The End. Aku sih mengharapkan semacam sekuel atau spin off-nya, mengisahkan Pan dan generasi baru Dragon Balls. Sayang deh kalo tamat segitu aja!
Dragon Ball Z vol 26 is the final excerpt of the series. Goku and his ultimate foe Vegeta end up fusing together to have enough chi power to successfully take down Boo. Goku then meets a young child with an immense amount of chi power that is believed to be the next chosen one after Goku. They fly off together to train and then the novel ends. The art style is very similar to previous books where there are sharp lines and intricate detailed drawings to showcase all the action and intimacy between characters. It was an excellent read but it was upsetting that this was the last novel of the series. The main character Goku grows a lot in the last novel because he realizes he’s no longer responsible for protecting Earth but is now responsible for training the new chosen one which he accepts humbly. I recommend reading this comic if you’ve seen the dragon Ball tv show or if you like manga comics.

This was a very interesting book due to all the excitement. Goku was finally able to defeat Boo. But kid Boo was just too strong to be defeated. Since both Goku and Vegeta weren't able to defeat Boo, Goku decided to use his secret weapon called the spirit bomb. The Spirit Bomb is the energy absorb from nature. The spirit bomb finally defeated Boo and GOku began his training with OOB. I've learned a very important lesson about how life is so important. And it made me begin to think about how precious life is and you will only get one chance in life so you must make the most of it and savor the best moments in life. I would recommend this book to my fellow peers because i was interested in the book. It was like reading one of my childhood book. And it was really exciting book that i would read over and over again until my life or i have enough.
