Demon Hunters #3

Herald of the Nine

Rate this book
A warlock must be assassinated. Otherwise the Nine Kings of Hell walk the land...

The dwarven city of Drenamere was saved because of their heroic efforts. Vacinne and the Black Blade stopped the deranged warden and ended the demons' rampage through the city, only to learn that while they won the battle, the war was just beginning.

Vacinne and Renlar now know that the Grand Master of her order has given in to darkness and is now the Warlock Supreme. His attempt at opening Hell Rifts in Drenamere was thwarted, but was merely one piece of a much larger plan. A plan that will invite the Kings of the Nine Hells to walk the mortal realm with legions of demons at their side. An entire army of devoted and unsuspecting Wardens stand between them and the Warlock. Vacinne and Renlar need a plan, and they need one now...

I am a firm believer that the Light shines brightest in the darkness. That's not only WHAT I write, but also WHY I write.

It love to explore humanity through fantasy, because it allows us to take ordinary people (and orcs) through impossible situations and see what or who comes out the other side. It is often that through trials and tribulations that we get to see the most honest version of not only our charters, but ourselves. It is through this lens that we can discover truths. That is why I write dark, epic fantasy that dares to hope.

I am a Christian, husband, father of three young children, and a veteran. I have a BA in Communications. I was born and raised in Maine, and currently live in North Carolina. I love spending time in nature, and I especially enjoy hiking and swimming. When I'm not busy writing or chasing after my wife and kids, you can usually find me sneaking away for some quiet time with a good book. Some of the authors that inspire my writing are JRR Tolkien, CS Lewis, Brandon Sanderson, Steven Erikson, and Patrick Rothfuss.

The end of the trilogy was a great read as the other two and as enchanting in the adventures as ever.
I really liked Vacinne - she grew really well through the story and all the challenges she had to face. It takes a lot to face a person you respect a lot as well as everything you know.
It was so great to be back in that fascinating world.
I am leaving an honest review after receiving a free copy of the book by the author.

Vaccine, our heroine in our story, finds herself heading back from where she started to confront the person she believes is responsible for the demon invasion. Along with her friends and her uncle, she has to find the powers within herself to defeat them. An exciting and swift moving story will hold you spellbound till the finish.

What a great book. I love how Renlar and Vacinne would bicker back and forth. I love how they fought demons.

Great conclusion.

This book is an excellent conclusion to the series. Trust in the Light. It does not matter what you call the light, but do the best you can to avoid evil.

This story concludes a tension filled fantasy series. Contains unexpected action which keeps the reader engaged. The series has a wonderfully developed world that feels mysterious and lived in. This book had it all, fighting, romance, and evil warlocks. The story is easy to read with some spiritual and religious under tones. I recommend it to fans of fantasy.

The end of the Demon Hunters trilogy.

There are many twists and turns before the end is reached, it is not only down to fighting but subterfuge must also be used. The big evil is revealed, will the heroes thwart his plans? An exciting ending to the series, a big battle to end it all off.

An enjoyable fast-paced fantasy series in a world with interesting magic systems, dragons, monsters, races, demons and angels. A good basis to expand the world even further.
