In the process of being reunited with my son, I lost the woman I was meant to find here. No matter how long it takes or how many demons I have to fight, I will never leave the Void unless Lilith is by my side.

About the author

Once upon a time, a little girl was born on a cold winter morning in the heart of Seoul, Korea. She was brought to America by her parents and raised in the Deep South where the words ma'am and y'all became an integrated part of her lexicon. She wrote her first novel at the age of eight and continued writing on and off during her teenage years. In college she studied biology and chemistry and finally combined the two by earning a master's degree in biochemistry. After that she moved to Yankee land where she lived for four years working in a laboratory at Cornell University. Homesickness and snow aversion forced her back South where she lives in the land which spawned Elvis Presley, Oprah Winfrey, John Grisham and B.B. King. After finding her Prince Charming, she gave birth to a wondrous gift named Caylin and they all lived happily ever after.

The second book to the Harvester of Light trilogy will be available for purchase no later than December 2012.

In the second installment of Jered and Lilith’s journey to find answers in the Void, we pick up with Jered and his son trying to form a relationship while Jered seeks to find Lilith, who has been taken captive by Hale. Cal, the son of Ethan and Jules, has also been abducted by Hale. Put through horrendous torture, he and Lilith do their best to get away from Hale. Lilith, in an effort to bring physical comfort to Cal, comes up with a plan to spend time with Hale who insists they were a couple in their previous lives. Will spending time with Hale open Lilith’s memories of who she was? Does she really want to know? Will Jered and the others find her in time – before she falls for Hale’s trickery? The reader also gets a peek at the lives of some of Lilith’s friends and why they have found themselves in the Void.

This is a fast moving, intense read. The characters are well-rounded and the plot seamless. Loved this book – waiting patiently for the next one.

Fascinating

Lilith has been taken by Kale and put in a cave where he has Cal shackled. No one knows which part of the void they are in, so the search is going slowly. They need help, which finally comes. As Lilith's soulmate, Jared is going crazy trying to find her. Kale tries to lure her with his undying love, as he shows her where she dies.

Fast forward. Everything West writes is fantastic. I have read every book. This is no exception. Jared is my kind of watcher. He helps whoever needs it. The story is great, with dad parts that will make you cry. But the bright sections will help you smile.

This book is such a wild ride....

Things are happening in the Void....

Lilith and Cal are making the best of a terrible situation....

Hale and Levi are as awful as ever....

Jered and the rest of the crew are doing all they can to find Cal and Lilith, rescue them and get the heck out of the Void forever....

Of course life is never that easy for our Angels.....

The ending... OMG... Shocking....

I love the way S. J. West writes!!

I have read every story I have found she's written. She appeals to that happy place inside me making it want to come out. I have matured spiritually lately and feel as if she has also grown. Her writing is easy to read yet makes the reader think. This is a good combination and very pleasing to me. So I thank Ms West for writing as she does and encourage avid readers to devour all her books as I have and continue to do. Thanks lady for giving me pleasure!

Death day and the horrors

Poor Jared finally has his son only to lose his soulmate. But not for long because he will do anything to get her back. Meanwhile Hale is determined to rekindle what he used to have with Lilith and hopefully bring back her memories. Lora's purpose and what she is is finally revealed along with her commanders. I gotta say my heart broke so many times when what happened Kane and kodi on their death day was revealed. I'm definitely curious about Lilith and hope she will take the plunge and find out what happened to her.

Another AMAZING book by S.J. West! A lot more happens in book 2. We find out what happened to Cal and Luna finally. Some of the characters learn about their history and what led to their deaths (so sad). We find out more information about the Void and Black Castle. There’s Revelations, love, deception, and heartbreak. I can’t wait for the next book for more Lilith and Jered. Go ahead and read SJ west books, you won't regret it!

This was yet another SJ West book that left me wanting more. I could not put it down and was honestly shocked by the ending. I loved learning more about the Void and also trying to learn more about Hale and Lilith's past. It was fascinated by the character of Lorna and her role. This is book two of three in the Guardians of the Void series. I can’t wait for book 3 and I give this book 5 stars out of 5.

This book picked up right where we left off. It was amazing to see the connection grow between Jered and Lilith in this book. There are many emotional moments in this book that will help you know some of the characters on a deeper level. I love how the stories all these characters are building and expanding. Absolutely loved it. So many things I want to comment on but I don't want to give anything away either! The story keeps getting better as it goes on and the realization of some things is amazing.
I highly recommend reading it (after the 1st one of course) I can't wait for Exodus to be released next!

It Blew me away!!!
Book 2 is so much more intense! The characters and the depth of their emotional state of mind reveals what an amazing author SJ West is.
The search for Black Castle continues and amazing truths are revealed while not all is as it seems. It’s an action packed follow-up with beautiful romance that has your heart accelerating. “Real difficult to put down” sort of book.

great story

This was a great love story with lots of action. Lilith and Jered love is beautiful. The way they are able to contact and grow together makes for a true love story. The way that he saves her and Cal was so extraordinary and the twist at the end is he as heartbreaking. Great story a must read.

So many emotions

Intense, fantastic new world

Well this was an intense and intriguing storyline. So much going on in the Void and yet there is still love, drama, and hate. Those dang rebellion angels! As new stories start others are ending. Truly a fantastic fantasy world! I can't wait til they all leave the Void I can feel so much drama in the future that will be so good!

I read all of your books not once but three times every time one comes out , this one was refreshing because Jared finally met his soulmate and got his son to after so many millenniums .

I am not finished with this book. I love the stories but I didn’t like the reference to Lilith being the first woman she was a demon. The story is beautiful but I feel a tad of disrespect for God in that sense but good series.
