Discover the nine truths that are keeping you stuck in a home with too much stuff and with a heart that feels so much heavier than it needs to. If you want to declutter and experience the freedom of living with less—but if you somehow never make real progress toward your goal—this book will teach you why and will empower and equip you to make lasting change.
In The Truth About Clutter, you’ll find these truths (and more):
• Clutter has been linked to anxiety and depression. • There’s a dark side to donating—and it can motivate you to live differently. • Many of us shop to escape our feelings. • Eventually someone will have to decide what to do with every item you own. (Don’t pass this burden on.)
Once you understand and internalize the nine truths in The Truth About Clutter, you'll finally be ready to let go and live free.

I found this book a review of concepts I have picked up from other de-cluttering books. I have held onto things because I may need it. Erica states everything you own you will take time from something else, or space. I may need to get rid of three kindles and two cameras.
I will read any book about minimalism, decluttering, and simple living I have access to. I’ve read a lot! This was a concise and motivating workbook focused on the why behind decluttering instead of getting lost in the typical tips for how to do it. It was appropriately minimalistic in that way. Even though I have studied and practiced this principle thoroughly, I found this a valuable collection of insightful examples of the most motivating reasons I have discovered for being more mindful of the possessions we allow to enter and stay in our lives.
This is an excellent book for someone just beginning their decluttering journey or need a refresher. I have "started" decluttering several times but am hoping this time will stick so I am grateful for any new tips.
This was a quick read, but very important thoughts to consider. I've heard these suggestions before, but maybe I need to hear it a few times before I truly want to comply.
