I loved the first half of this. I would have liked a little more depth in the second half. Mainly because I have come across the advice in lots of other books. The first half linked the advice to western philosophies and ideas which gave it a different tone. Still an incredibly valuable book, I just wanted more.
This was a wonderfully concise book that explains how you can achieve success in 10 areas. I really enjoyed the layout of this text, as well as the fact that the author provided reflection questions and activities for us to ponder while we did the work. I had multiple realizations while reading this short book, and will definitely be going back to certain sections that I’ve highlighted and tagged.
This book was incredibly comforting to read. I’ve been looking for tips on how to balance both my worldly goals and religious goals in order to contribute to my overall success and this book provided just that.
I share the authors vision that worldly success without religious success is no success at all.
The Muslim Woman's Manifesto is a captivating, compelling and thought provoking book. It's a book suitable for all women, as it talks about the essence of being a good woman.

Topics such as: how to overcome your fears, embrace your uniqueness, cultivate gratitude, balance your roles, and much more. This book is not just a self-help book, but a manifesto for living a fulfilling and meaningful life. It will empower you to become the best version of yourself, and to contribute positively to the world around you. It will inspire you, and motivate you to achieve your dreams!
I absolutely loved this book. It taught me more about my faith and inspired me in a number of ways. I highlighted so many excerpts in here that spoke to me. This is a book that I would visit again and would gift to others. I love how straightforward and "simple" this book was written; it didn't come across as judgemental or scholarly. The reflective activities were great. I bought the Kindle version and wish I would have bought the paperback version so that I could write, but I intend to go back through the book or buy the accompanying journal for this book to get the most of this great read. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author, as I've already bought her Ramadan journal.
These women knew that women rule. And that man is only a product of a woman's strength. It took him nine months to gain vigor from her and even then he came into the world crying.
--------- I learn beauty tips from an Egyptian Queen who died being tortured in African heat. Who was stoned, and whose skin was charred and singed by a searing sun that had no option but to rise that day. See her soul longed for something greater than a mortal Pharaoh.
She was a Queen. Subservient only to the King of Kings, and her last words shall forever sit on the throne of my mind, so that I am reminded for what she died for when she said, in the he midst of her martyrdom:
"My Lord, build for me, with You, a home in Paradise."
And soon after, she began to smile, whilst being tortured, because her home was being shown to her.
Not my favorite book. It was hard to read because it felt more like an article than a book. It focuses on self-help and guidance toward finding success in this world and the hereafter. Honestly, I feel this could’ve just been a blog post. There’s nothing thought-provoking, captivating, or compelling. Most of the pages are filled with Islamic-centered guidance that many of us have already heard from our parents.
Glad that this is my first read of year 2023. Everything seems to be so haphazard & in situations like where you are uncertain, the author's sense of organization of thought and well-being poured into 10 chapters does a decent job.
4.5 ⭐️ I liked that it was short, simple, & to the point. She focused on the facts without taking away from the lessons with long, drawn out "real life examples" as most self-help books do (and do so poorly).
It is a great book, Chapter 6 (Make yourself a priority) is wonderful. Its main idea is to not overwhelm yourself but hope that this doesn't lead to selfish behavior.
This book has some amazing advice that will be helpful for many women however: some chapters were written rather clunkily and I was a bit frustrated with the way hadiths were annotated
