Although quite a bit of time has passed since Looking Deep was published, it provides an interesting retrospective on a long-time idol for a fan of professional football and the phenomenal Pittsburgh Steelers of the 1970s. Much maligned, Terry Bradshaw still quarterbacked the Steelers to an unprecedented four Super Bowls in six years and won two Super Bowl Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards in the process. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about his professional football career and the typical problems that beset professional athletes when they retire from their sport.

I really enjoyed this book because I have been a fan of the Steelers since I was a kid. His career was outstanding in football and getting the behind the scenes info was very insightful. The 12th chapter was laugh out loud funny for me. He describes his adventure in cattle farming and this was hilarious!
