‘Success is possible for everyone and can be acquired’

Israeli author Amir Levy adds to his successful array of books on change management in business – ORGANIZATIONAL TRANSFORMATION, MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP CHANGE AND INNOVATION, and MASTERING ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE – with this personal guide to successful achievement YES YOU CAN! Amir earned his PhD from the university of California and is an educator and an Organizational Development Consultant, guiding managers for over 30 years, integrating academic instruction and practical consulting.

Amir states his book’s mission in his Introductory comments: ‘There Are Three Types of People: Those Who Make Things Happen, Those Who Watch Things Happen, and Those Who Wonder What Happened…This book aims to answer the following important questions: What makes people successful? What abilities do these people have in common? What are these abilities? Can they be acquired and learned?‘ He then proceeds to guide the reader through his experiences and the experience of others that further elucidates his strongly felt premise that personal improvement and the latent ability to achieve dreams is a skill inherent in each person – and with the right guidance, success in achieving those dreams is possible.

Using his honored advice he has shared with corporate leaders and businesses, Amir offers in this valuable book – ‘Self-leadership means taking responsibility of our lives and for the activities related to our personal world, in order to improve our effectiveness and to realize our values, abilities, and dreams for the benefit of both ourselves as well as for others. Self-development means our proposed change and planned management, whose purpose it is to expand and deepen our knowledge, abilities, and insights in order for us to realize our potential consequently enriches our lives and makes us the people who make our surroundings and ourselves better.’

Divided into coherent accessible chapters, the values addressed are Start with a clear vision, Gain courage, Be proactive an task oriented, Believe in yourself and gain self-confidence, Develop resilience openness and change abilities, Optimism Joyful Relationships and Thankfulness, Never blame others but take responsibility for your life, Work hard be committed and postpone gratification, Never give up – failure is a chance to learn, and Understand politics and networking, consulting cooperation giving and forgiving. The manner in which Amir encourages us through each of these topics is warmly reassuring and supportive. This is a book that will benefit everyone who takes the time to absorb its contents. Highly recommended.
