Tarah Benner is the author of more than 25 books, including Witches of Mountain Shadow, Mountain Shadow Mysteries, The Fringe, the Elderon Chronicles, the Lawless Saga, and more. She lives and writes in sunny Colorado with her two dogs, a cat, a toddler, and her beloved partner in crime. When she’s not writing, she enjoys breakfast, hiking, yoga, and martial arts.
Is it mean to say that I do not care for Tripp’s point of view ? Maybe, since he’s a cute, caring playboy who always gets what he wants. I knew Maggie cared about him but wasn’t that into him like Jonah. Which made it so depressing seeing him go off to bat for her when she wasn’t even considering him. Jonah and Maggie finally get to have one day to talk about themselves and each other because damn. Three whole years and just now we have a decent conversation but I loved the yearning and pining so I can’t complain that much. Everything was resolved, I thought it was very cool to see the Benjamin robot in action. Even having all their friends coming together with the family dinner. Spending so much time together, running for their lives creating a bond that wasn’t just going to go away after everything.
This is an exceptionally informative futuristic fictional series based on good research. It is a profound and real example of what could be expected fifty years from now.
The storyline based on robots and the space station Elderon continues as exciting and suspenseful with Maggie, Jonah, Tripp and Mordecai the central characters, all of which are well described and developed.
The author creates a futuristic society that is fraught with complications of advanced technologies and the deviations of a madman. I have great admiration for her skill in the creation of an advanced society and the dangers exposed.
I wholeheartedly recommend to readers of the dystopian genre. An eye opening and thought provoking series, this being the final installment. Makes you think!
Although I am very sad that this is the end, it has been an incredible journey! Never a dull moment throughout the whole series and this one does not stop either! I had mixed feelings regarding Jonah and how everything was going to work out there and I am very satisfied with the results. Maggie is as strong and courageous as ever, with some bittersweet reunions. This book pulled everything together that has been building in an exciting, heart pumping way (with some unexpected twists as well). A great journey that I am sure I will enjoy again at some point as it is worth a re-read of the entire series!
It seems like I have flown through these books! What a Tripp! (See what I did there...? *shrugs)
Everything is breaking apart and the team is doing everything possible to hold it together. I love the action in this book and how the characters face the consequences of their actions from over the years. Everything comes together perfectly and it is just precious when a nice little twist is threaded into the story.
Colony`s End. A most exciting finale to the Colony series.
This series is.phenomenal. The possible outcomes of the world in 2075 are well researched. Well done Ms. Jenner. My favorite parts (and most frightening parts) are the afterwards. You have altered my awareness of the world we live in. Keep up the good work. The world needs authors like you.
This series is a rollicking up and down of action and suspense. I found myself caught-up in the whole thing. I blew through all 5 books. I'll try more of Tarah's books.
The series wouldn't have been worthwhile without a final bot fight against overwhelming odds. yThe final climax is a little anticlimactic, but I won't spoil it by being more specific. Maybe more of a young adult series than one for more seasoned readers.
Definitely worth the wait and had a great ending! Only a little bit of the authors commentary I disagreed with but other than that loved this series and the characters and the entire storyline!
I liked this series. It kept me coming back until the end. There are a few things that don't make sense in the big picture, but over all its a fun story and decent sci-fi.
