Letters change people. They turn forty-year-old men into helpless fathers. Scared mothers into fierce fighters. Long lost pets into possessive exes. And old lovers into best friends. They'll make you spell help. Give someone a second first chance. Make you leave behind a home. And find another in someone. Sometimes, they're warnings. Sometimes, confessions. And sometimes, a story left untold. Letters change people, they say. Let's hope these change you too. With love, Us. After two bestsellers-- terribly tiny tales and ninety-seven poems --Terribly Tiny Tales and Penguin come together for the third time on the same page.

A book with collection of letters. Few which are immensely relatable and few that teared me down and few that introduced to one such side of the world. All in all a must try. Might find yourself in one of those letters. Or maybe end-up writing one to someone you desire to.
Have you ever written a letter? A gut-wrenching letter that has driven you insane while you metaphorically stab yourself to death, that kinda thing?
I’ve always loved letters. I’ve loved writing them, receiving them, talking about them, sharing them; just the absolute brilliant concept of putting emotions out on paper in the purest way possible? Um yes??
With Love is a book that will probably have you crying on the floor by the time you’re done reading it. It’s a collection of letters that have all the feelings in the world bleeding through the pages. Whether it’s a letter to a future lover, the person who was an ‘almost’, or to the someone who will love them next, this book has it all. Some are apologies that are a little too late written by fathers who were a little too strict, while some are written by overprotective younger sisters who’ll go to any lengths to protect their sibling from heartbreak.
Sometimes they’re warnings. Sometimes, confessions. And sometimes, a story left untold. Letters change people, they say. These changed me. Let’s hope they change you too.
Reviewing anthology books is a first for me and personally, I believe it is difficult to wholly love or hate books like these. In my experience, there will be some stories, poems or in this case, letters, that speak to your very soul while some won’t even be able to pierce your skin, let alone your heart.
In similar vein, there were some letters in this book that I almost felt I had written myself to real people but some I couldn’t connect with at all. Still, it was quite an easy one-sitting but deeply moving read for me. Definitely pick this up if like me, you’re from the old world at heart, and have always loved letters more than emails or texts.
Even before I get on to the review of the content, I have to thank the person who designed the front cover. Specially the material. Fabulous. A big thanks for that.
Now going into review of contents.
In the world of email and instant messaging, letters looks extinct. But then the TTT team not only found but also aggregated them and presented it to us which is delightful. You'll find a lots of letters in it. Some will make you laugh, some makes you cry, some makes you feel like it's written for you and some makes you feel like it's written by you.
On the whole, a beautiful set of collection of LETTERS.
"You never came to stay; you never left to return. I never loved to un-love you, and that is the tragedy of my ordinary life."
'With Love' is a collection of letters, each very deep and special in its own way. There's a longing for lost love and friendship. There are letters that talk of estranged relationships, and others which speak of people who you felt the closest to not having enough time for you. And then, there are letters which are ambiguous and reading through them you can't figure out who's written them to whom unless you reach the very end. These letters make you raise some very important questions, questions which you try answering but can't.
There were letters which made me smile, others which made me cry, a few which reminded me of people who have been a part of my life in the past and others that I have loved. There were a few that made me keep the book down and made me sympathise with people who have lived through tragedies. There are letters that talk about ends and others about beginnings. Some about heartbreaks, others about hope. Some about love and others about fear.
A letter made me raise a very important question which was- How do you decide it's time to leave a friendship, a relationship, even a marriage? There was one letter in particular which made me realise how we often contemplate things and don't do them and regret it later. And one made me think how we feel stupid for our actions when in reality all they are is cute.
All in all this anthology of letters was full of realisations for me. It evoked feelings that I didn't know existed within me. It brought about a flurry of emotions and I was forced to sit back and reflect and give myself closure on things that lie there hanging. It was a book which proved helpful to me in a way no one ever has.
Read it to feel things. Read it to reminisce a beautiful past and be assured that a great future lies ahead.
Very average. Some were good but most of them were average. Bought it just because I liked the plain simplistic cover and I thought I would be reading a good collection.
Ah, Love! As much as the word itself is beautiful, it evokes one of the most beautiful feelings, a sense of completeness within us. Hides millions of gestures and thousands of untold stories within its sleeves we just try to express just a minuscule part of it. I can keep on writing about this yet still left with many left behind... "With Love" is a bouquet of letters, filled with truest and raw emotions, so fierce to burn towers down, so tender to heal all the wounds... Different authors penned down their deepest feelings, it rekindles old memories in the mind of the reader. Each letter is like a window to another hidden tale. In the world where all of us are locked down, everything has slowed down, this book gives food for thought.
The pervious books were better and I guess with the third book I expected a little more maybe it didn't really stood up the way I expected it to be so i could be wrong but for me the book is okay
There's something about letters and the traditional way of conveying your feelings and thoughts. This book is a collection of all those feelings and it's a rollercoaster ride. Loved it!
