Very good and enjoyable conclusion to the True Blue K-9 Unit series. It was nice to see Katie Jameson find love again (since her husband K-9 Unit Chief Jordan’s murder) with K-9 Officer Tony Knight. At first I thought it was a bit soon for Katie with a new romance, but by the book’s end I was convinced that Katie and Tony were meant to be. The story had a good mix of suspense and romance. I enjoyed the New York City settings. I loved Tony’s adorable K-9 partner Rusty. I thought the epilogue of the story was so wonderfully done and wrapped up the series perfectly.

Bella storia che ha degnamente concluso un'ottima serie: ho patito insieme alla protagonista e sono stata assai felice per il lieto fine.
Il voto può essere considerato come dato a tutta la serie nel suo insieme.

I have really enjoyed this series, and have been looking forward to the crime being solved and the bad guy being caught. The previous book revealed the killer's identity and motive, and this book focused more on him and catching him, while protecting the widow and baby of the murdered police chief.

McCoy is one of the best authors Love Inspired Suspense has, and I was happy to see she got the job of writing the final book. It was worth the wait. This was an awesome read, with plenty of suspense and drama. Great ending to the book also. Though I was eagerly anticipating this last book, I was also sad to see the series end. It went too fast

'God never sleeps, but sometimes He has a reason to say no. Maybe this is one of those times.'

The True Blue K-9 Unit series is brought to a wonderful conclusion with book 8 by Shirlee McCoy. McCoy is a wonderful inspirational suspense writer, in my opinion. She just knows how to capture and keep a reader's attention with her well crafted characters and great plots. Bravo!

I took this off kindle and didn't realize it was the last of the series, stupid me. But anyway, it's fine. I liked this one. Katie lost her husband and being pregnant doesn't make it any easier. She was trying to protect herself and her baby for her psycho stalker. Tony was just always there for her, in any capacity she wanted. Their relationship and feelings only started after her husband died, and neither of them wanted to bring those feelings to light, which is understandable. The ending I think it was a really too soon, like they could six months later or more instead of just two, but maybe that's just me. But yeah, overall, I really liked this and I can't to start from the beggining, even though I know all that will happen and will be rooting for this couple despite the fact they will only happen in this book :)

Super exciting conclusion to this series / continuity

Katie has been through so much, losing her husband just after finding out she is pregnant and being stalked by an insane man who says that she is his. Now Tony, her husband's best friend is watching over her and is in the madman's sights. Can she ever find the peace and love she has always dreamed of?

The pace is breakneck and the tone is uncertain yet hopeful with a character and action oriented storyline that has some kisses but no steam! The characters are vivid and endearing. The twists and turns keep you guessing until the very end. Knowing the bad guy doesn't change that! This is an impressive series with tons of action, surprises and inspiration. I am so glad that I read this. If this sounds good to you, then read these all in order and know that there is a follow-up Christmas 2-in-1 book to still go! Enjoy!

"Sworn to Protect" is a Christian romantic suspense. Katie misses her murdered husband and is sad about how the hopeful, happy future she'd envisioned when they married hadn't turned out the way she'd expected. Even before Noah was murdered, he'd made his work more important than her. Now she's struggling to trust that God's plan for her future is a good one when her husband's murderer is now after her and threatening her soon-to-be-born baby. I loved Katie. Tony was a great match for her: supportive, caring, and he understood her well. They were great friends and now allowed that caring to grow into love.

The main characters were engaging, complex, and reacted realistically to events. The suspense came from the danger to Katie and the baby as an erratic, insane man stalked her. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd highly recommend this enjoyable, exciting novel.

Oh My Goodness

What a series. I was on the edge of my seat through the entire book. Martin was crazy, delusional. I could feel Katie pain the entire time. Katie had lost her husband Jordan by the hands of Martin. Jordan's K9 partner Snapper had also gone missing the day Jordan was killed. The entire K9 unit had been searching for answers. Amazing series. Katie thought that she would never fine love again after Jordan but love was right there waiting it was almost like Jordan had picked the man to take care of Katie if something happened to him. This story has arson, attempted murder, attempted kidnapping, kidnapping, a psychopath, and a HEA. God was with Katie and the Jameson family the entire time.

I liked the conclusion to the story arc, but it wasn't my favorite of the books. There is a lot of angst on the heroine's part about issues with her marriage to her deceased husband. It seemed like it was trashing the guy who was the dead hero in all the other books. It also seemed pretty quick for a woman who lost her husband in the line of duty less than 9 months ago (she was pregnant enough for them to know before he died) to fall in love with another cop. Especially since he was her husband's best friend. I like the author's style and have read several of her other books, so I won't write her (or the spin off series to this one) off.

Police Widow Fights Crazy Man
This novel is an excellent addition to the series. These books can really be read in any order, but you will enjoy them more by reading them in the order they were written. All of these books share characters and locations. This is a very good police mystery with lots of great K-9 work. A crazy man has killed a K-9 officer and now is hunting his very pregnant widow to claim as his own. This is a very tense story but contains no blood, gore, or sex. There is a light romance building in the background. There is also a large element of faith.

3.5 rating. Tony Knight was Chief Jordan Jameson’s best friend and he made a promise to be there for his family if anything should happen to Jordan. When Jordan is murdered Tony steps up to keep that promise.
Katie Jameson is Jordan’s pregnant widow. She is being stalked by the man who murdered her husband. She and her unborn daughter are in a lot of danger.
Tony and the rest of the K-9 unit join forces to protect the Jameson clan.
Katie and Tony find love and contentment out of the tragedy.

I enjoyed this True Blue K-9 Unit series of books, written by some of my favorite romance writers. In the book before this one, readers found out who was responsible for the death of Chief Jordan Jameson and the reason for his killing, In this book, the K-9 handlers try to find the perpetrator, who is unstable but crafty and secretive. Shirlee McCoy has written a good conclusion to the series; her book was worth the wait.

FANTASTIC!!!!!

This is a beautiful wrap-up to a FANTASTIC series!!!!! I am so glad for the ending!!! Tony, Katie and the baby make a beautiful family. I am so glad that Snapper made it home and will be paired with another police officer and allowed to work along with the other K-9 officers until retirement.

This book had me on the edge of my seat. Not only is Katie having to deal with the final stages of pregnancy without her husband, his killer has escaped and is stalking her. I loved how she continually reminded herself that God is in control. Tony had promised to take care of Katie if anything happened to her husband, and he wasn’t going to break that promise. I thought this was a great book.

Loved it!!

Definitely one of my favorites. At first, I was just so doubtful that the author could make this storyline work, but... oh man, it worked fabulously. It was endearing and heartbreaking all together.

The faith content was present with constant prayers, but the romance and the action was superb!!

Can't wait to read more Love Inspired Suspense.

Although I haven’t read the previous books (not on KU), this book was well written. I loved the descriptions of the dogs behaviours and actions as well as the story. Katie definitely needed a happy ending and Jordan’s family is so supportive of her relationship with Tony.
