It revolves around Rohit, but the author also beautifully woven each character's story. It wasn't something very heavy but it's a light read filled with interesting characters and drama, filled with human bonds and emotions. ‘Half-Life’ is the book for those who are looking to break away from the conventional format of introduction, suspense, climax, etc. Arpit Dugar in this book has managed to explore the unusual through a very usual setting. It talks about six thick friends who are on the brink of starting the next phase of lives- their life after graduation. The snappy dialogues, the character portrayal and the little ‘things’ that happen as the story unfolds seem very easy to relate to. Yet, it is unusual. Half-Life keeps you connected to your world as it tells a story of its own.
Pros: 1. Easily connects with people 2. Nostalgic (That’s a personal opinion though) 3. Accurate description of tourist spots. If you are looking to visit any tourist hotspot, then make sure you read this book before planning your itinerary. 4. Snappy dialogues that send readers into fits of laughter 5. Relaxed story pacing.
Cons: 1. Grammatical errors and some typos. (as you continue reading there are lesser mistakes- either you are overpowered by the flow of the story or there aren’t any) 2. The story-line seems to drag at some places- especially when the friends plan something together. 3. Non-Indian readers may find it difficult to connect with in some places. (In case the target is readers worldwide). 4. The ending seems rather hurried. There could have been a slight creative twist to it.
In a nutshell, it is ‘The Book’ if you are looking forward to: 1. Enjoy a relaxed fiction sparing the stress of suspense and climax 2. That spells YOU as the story is- as said before- usual, yet, unusual.

Half life is an intresting story about Rohit and his friends. Story is about Love, trust and friendship because the way author narrates the story which depicted the value of friends and the way friends helped and support each other in thick and thin. Rohit is a protagonist of story, suddenly he started imagining things or peoples from real and present figures in day time . The doctors believed he was suffering from chronic fatigue and ordered him to take a complete bed rest and break from all forms of work and stress. But things are getting messier when he told one of his friends about things that going to happen or already happened for Rohit? Story is engaging and flow of story is very good which makes this book a worth read. Language is also easy and lucid, characters are well elaborated and all have their own role like his friend Ayaz, Lisah or his mother Sanjana's role. Some scenes were like repetitive it could be avoided otherwise a good and engaging read.
The story begins with a reunion where a group of friends party hard with drinks. The plot unfolds as Rohit opts to explode over a little thing to his friend Ria. Ria begins to weep and Ashita comforts her meanwhile Rohit leaves the place in hesitation. It was an unusual behavior of Rohit, it was proved that Rohit had some mental disorder as he begins to experience unfamiliar people and unrecognized shapes by getting nightmares and he begins to spend sleepless nights. Ashi was trying to figure out the reason behind his behavior while they both try to visit a family friend who is a psychologist. The right spice of suspense, love, and all the emotions were integrated making the story more beautiful. There were a few editing errors however those didn't really matter as the plot was moving smoothly. The character development is done well that the readers could perfectly picturise the features. The title is apt for the story and it is a must-read.
This book revolves around Rohit and his best buddies. In this story the protagonist Rohit's dreams turns to reality which starts bothering him.
The story starts with a reunion with lots of partying. Things gets tense as Rohit yells at Ria for some reason and while Ashita was consoling her while Rohit left the place abruptly. Everyone was worried because Rohit was not someone who used to shout at people and was a friendlier person. Later Ashita helped Rohit and took him to a psychiatrist.
Is he experiencing deja vu? Or it is some sort of paranormal activity going on with Rohit!?
I loved the plot of the story. It is a interesting and definitely a light read containing of some humour, suspense , friendship and love.
The flow was smooth along with the dialogues which felt quite real. At some point I actually felt nostalgic thinking about my college group. The language was simple and the characters were bought out perfectly.
