I wouldn't recommend this for beginners, it's a collection of word lists plus some grammar explanations with just a few example sentences. If you are into grammar then the explanations on prefixes and suffixes are pretty comprehensive.

This is a very good little book. I am working through the Student's Grammar by Dwi Noverini Djenar but wanted something smaller to just carry around and dip into, which this book is. (I am allergic to any language learning product which includes 'easy' or 'fast' or 'in X minutes per day' but this book is useful so I forgive it.)

I've read through it and will now go back and do the pronunciation lessons on the CD.
