Blackbox Protocol by Bethany Loy and Frog Jones is about a private investigator hired to recover a precious stolen item. The investigation takes him across planets as the net of intrigue spreads around him and he grapples with the wounds of his past. A exceptional and fun adventure from start to finish. I admired the author's skill in portraying the non-human characters. They were authentic, relatable, and believable. Blackbox Protocol is a fast-paced read full of heart. This is your Friday evening or weekend read.
