Blood and Fae #1

He moves closer, too close. Predatory green eyes close slightly as he inhales her scent deliciously. “What are you?”

Good question. As a child, Nevaeh thought she was a normal, Florida girl with two loving parents and a jealous sister. Ignoring the fact that mom was a Russian pagan and Nevaeh’s still a virgin at twenty-three.

The death of her sick father drove Nevaeh into the arms of the sexy computer geek at her new job. Sensual and mysterious, Luke just might be the one. Until her sister discovers a family secret that shatters Nevaeh’s world.

Her life has been a lie. Her dreams of love, dissolved. Luke’s lost to another. She’s thrust into a world of violence and blood. Betrayed by those she trusted, reduced to servitude and lost in a society of monstrosities that shouldn’t exist.

Her humanity shatters when she’s stolen from her new master by the worst monster of them all. The god of the undead, the King of Vampires. He’s aloof, commanding and dead sexy but she’s merely a puppet in his opulent world. A puppet with powerful bloodlines and a species saving secret, that is.

Is King Alexei about to find his equal with the monster lurking inside innocent Nevaeh? Will Nevaeh survive the beast threatening to consume her? What about sweet, delicious Luke? Nevaeh must tread carefully if he’s going to survive her bloodlove. The fae just taste… too good to waste.

Blood and Fae takes us from sunny Florida into the opulence of powerful Russian and Greek vampires and finally a secret agency run by the high fae in Colorado. A.M. Proctor ties the realms she created in her Spark Bond and Ride series beautifully into this new novel. Filled with deliciously dark, sexually charged moments, weaved with ancient Greek gods, mythological creatures, high fae and lusty dominant vampires, this novel is for adventurous adults only.

I write dirty fae, vampire and monster romance. My males are dark and dominant. My females are flawed, sometimes hard to handle, and definitely grow throughout the series.

My fae world overlaps, as do some of my characters. Chaistolf was my first character and with him blossomed the Spark Bonded Series. It's a vast series of six big arse books. Starts all lovey dovey, but gets darker as the series goes on.

The more I wrote in the Spark Bonded Series, the more I explored the darkness of romance. Now, I live there.

MM? Usually.
MFM? Often.
MMF? More often than not.
Noncon? Happens.
Monster Porn? Got it.
I'm not afraid to take you down a path others might fear.

Amazing!!!!

Do not read this if you do not like Dark, bloody and addicting sexual content!! This is not rated R, this is NC-17 hot as sh@t!! I love a good dark paranormal book and this is one of them. I got so sucked in right from the start that it was hard to put the book down for a minute, let alone 20 minutes or longer. The world the writer is creating is new and exciting, it has a refreshing new view on vampires, fae, and gods!! I was recommended this book from someone in a authors fb group (she also writes dark and sexy) and i am so happy I saw this post in there. I've been looking for a new author to read that does dark and hot but has a great storyline and A.M Proctor does all those and more!! The sex is incredibly hot and so very kinky, there is a good amount of M/M that is done just right! I loved all the main characters and side ones to. This is just amazing!!! Can't wait to read the next one. I would also recommend reading this with no kids around, one of mine walked in the room and I had to close my kindle fast!

Steamy erotic and exciting

Loved following Neveah's story. She's feisty, brave and curious. The story has just the right mix of adventure, sex and romance with an ending that makes me root for the heroine. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

DNF: This was recommended to me; I believe that person hates me...firstly, the spelling caused nervous ticks to start (when an author gets ‘your’ and ‘you’re’ wrong, on a single page twice, you know it is time to abandon ship).
Secondly, missing words, pigeon English...it felt as if it had been translated by Google and to hell with the need for it to be proof read.
Lastly for this quick review; the description is ‘dark and sensual’ - interesting choice of words - not sure what was dark about it, but I understand these are subjective words and perhaps my dark is not your dark....and perhaps the word ‘sensual’ should be revisited via a dictionary before being added so boldly to a book title.

Naughty

I gave this four stars for the storyline and likeable characters. It might have been five but there were repeated typos and grammar errors that were very hard to ignore. Based on her socials I get the impression A.M. is not a full time author and has not taken the time to go back to earlier works like this one to fix things.
As warned this book has some dark themes. There is also quite a bit of “grown up time” content that some might find excessive. Personally I didn’t mind, and it just felt like it’s part of the nature of the creatures featured in this built world. I’m diving straight into part two of the duet and will likely read the other stories that feature familiar characters at some point in the future.

When you look for an adult fantasy book

When you look at the cover of this book you think it’s not special at all but that is why there is a saying don’t judge a book by its cover.

I have looked for days a book like this with a strong female character, with blood and sex, with plot twists.
Aaa it’s so good I want to scream.

I just hope the second book is the last one. I do hate cliffhangers.

Thank you A.M. Proctor for the amazing word you have created.
