Misha
It's been three years since I met him, since he became my everything. Sure, we play with others--but for one night only. Until Geoff, my Sir, my love, fulfilled one of my role-play fantasies. Neither one of us expected that involving Lukas, Geoff's ex-lover and best friend, would give us both something we didn't know we needed. Now we just have to make it work, because instead of one man owning my heart, one man giving me a world filled with passion and desire, there are two.

Geoff
My life changed the moment I saw him. He was the boy I needed, the man I wanted, and it's been the just two of us ever since. Asking my best friend--a man I trust above all others--to help fulfill my boy's fantasy, wasn't a hard decision. But now we're in a place I never thought we'd be. He's sharing our bed and stealing our hearts. But he's on the other side of the country, and we miss him every day.

Lukas
I've been stuck in a rut for far too long. My job and this city no longer hold my interest like they used to. The random boys I play with don't fill that emptiness inside me anymore. I'm a Daddy who longs for a boy to take care of...to love. But when Geoff called me with an intriguing offer, I couldn't refuse. One weekend of fun wasn't supposed to change my whole world, but now, I have some decisions to make. How do I find my place in the hearts of two men who have loved each other for so long? Because one thing is clear: They both own mine completely.

*This is NOT a standalone. This is the continuation of Misha, Geoff, and Lukas's story in Open Encounters (Kink Chronicles Book 2).*

Luna David is a true romantic at heart who was fortunate enough to find and marry her soul mate. Most of the time she considers herself lucky to have been blessed with having g/b twins, but they're giving her a run for her money. She's a stay at home mom and an author, so when she's not begging her little monsters to behave, you'll most likely find her writing.

She loves anything book, coffee or dark chocolate related and can't think of a better way to pass the time than to combine all three. She reads romance novels voraciously and while she prefers contemporary romance with strong Alpha males finding their soul mates, she's a sucker for any well written, romantic story regardless of genre.

She created the Custos Securities Series because she loves to write what she loves to read. Her books feature strong dominant males and the men they would die protecting. Toss in some BDSM and kink and you've got her Catharsis Novel Series, The Boys Club Series, and Kink Chronicles Series. She loves nothing more than making her readers feel a wide range of emotions with her words. And she hopes you enjoy reading her books as much as she loved writing them. Happy Reading!

Phew, there was a lot of push and pull in this. And weirdly enough it was the thing I actually liked most about this story was also the thing that annoyed me.

I loved that this book addressed the shadow-sides of a poly partnership. The struggles that can possibly come with being in a relationship and in love with more than one person.

So here they are. Three people who desperately want to make it work together but are not quite able to pull it off.

They all start off pretty excited about their new dynamic, develop feelings and commit to a relationship of three. But then it’s Lukas (Dom/Daddy) first, the third who enters the already established relationship between Misha (sub/boy) and Geoff (Dom/Sir), who messed up.

When they try again they struggle to come back to the easiness of their beginning, like all of them.

Geoff paused, locking eyes with Lukas. [his best friend] “I say this not to hurt you but to explain how I feel. You are important to me, so fucking important. What I feel for you is bigger and stronger than ever. That being said, a small portion of me is still recovering from the hurt you caused, but…but a bigger part is learning to share Misha, or rather learning to share his heart.” […] “For so long, I was the only one in his heart, and I can admit sharing that special place has been hard on me.”

And while I liked watching them working through their obstacles it annoyed me that as soon as they solved one issue the next one was lurking right around the corner.

I was also disappointed that this was pretty low on the steam, compared to the previous books at least. Even more so because we saw their kinky play/ roleplay but not the sex itself most of the time —and were TOLD they had after that.

But their last, public, scene to fulfill another one of Misha’s fantasies was seriously hot.

*CW: no cheating but sharing, playing with others and voyeurism

This book started right after Open Encounters ended, and I was excited to see how Lukas would fit in with Misha and Geoff. Having a relationship is hard work, but adding a third to the mix is even more difficult, especially if it’s an established couple. But these authors pulled it off.
This book is quite sex heavy, especially in the beginning, but luckily, after that, the men got the chance to dig deep into their feelings and acknowledge what they really want. A throuple doesn’t necessarily mean the feelings develop at an equal pace. Each has their own doubts and questions to get over and accept, and this story reflects these struggles.
I liked the characters, although I have to say I had some trouble connecting with Geoff. He has to most difficulties to give in to his feelings and fully embrace Lukas. You can’t but love Misha. He’s such a sweetheart. Sassy, but never over the top. And I loved how, even though he’s the youngest and a sub, he’s the one to tell the other two men to get their act together and accept that they can’t live without each other. These men just fit, each giving the others what they need.
I enjoyed this story very much, and I’m looking forward to reading what these authors have in store for us next.

ALL the 5 stars!
Misha, Lukas, and Geoff

I buried myself in bed with my fluffy bathrobe on. Storm outside, but it didn’t matter because I was reading and reading, I was totally into this story. I’d already meet these guys in part #2 and I loved that story greatly. I was so happy their story had a continuation! And oh boy what a story! I was captured by them.

This threesome is delicious, all full-on into this relationship. A Dom, A Daddy, and their sub/boy. It worked so well.
When needed Lukas is a hundred percent Daddy and immediately takes care of his boy.
Geoff his Sir and Dom always taking care of him, Misha feels blessed, loved and taken care of.
Their scenes are intense, fun and hot af.

Living in a triad is hard work and if one of them lacks to do than everything will shatter.
And here am I, looking at the shattered pieces of a heart who belonged to a beautiful man.
My own heart wasn’t in better condition. The beauty of their relationship, gone.

A huge pile of unsettled feelings and fear is in the way to recovery.
The hurt was palpable in every line. The struggle to find a way back was as well hurtful as beautifully moving to watch.
In the very center was Misha just how he supposed to be!

This was a very intense story and all thanks to the way of storytelling.
Love is the main word, as is hurt and sweet, caring and sexy and playful.
The scenes were awesomely well described, my eyes and mind had overtime to digest it all. All three men were beautifully flawed. They worked so hard to find the right balance and the award was immensely huge... a triad full of love and devotion.
I sooo enjoyed this emotional story!!

this is by far the best and most complex book of the series. I still hold that this book and the previous one should've just been one and didn't need to be two separate books. That being said, I loved that we got more actual relationship content and not just sex scenes. The dynamic between Geoff, Misha, and Lukas was incredibly intriguing and I appreciate that we saw both ups and downs and that polyamory wasn't romanticized. It felt like an honest portrayal of how difficult it can be to maintain a relationship between three people while also showcasing the beauty of it too.

This series won't be for everyone, and that okay. It's really kinky and sex-based and I know that's not everyone's jam. I've talked about it before, but I am drawn to kinky books as an asexual and I love seeing a lot of different types of relationships portrayed.

rep: 3 gay MCs, polyamory, 24/7 dom/sub, daddy/boy,

CW: taking a minute to mention the role play of student/teacher in this one that could be triggering to some. Again, we're not judging what turns people on as long as its consensual, which this was.

I liked Misha, Geoff and Lukas’s relationship more than Jamie and Ronan’s.

To me this relationship felt real going through the speed bumps to figure out how everyone fit.

Both Lukas and Geoff were very stubborn at a time that they both needed a nice little shake to make them open their eyes.

But Misha, sassy little Misha was great. I wish we had more time with all the boys that Misha is friends with because I loved seeing those scenes especially when Sam was there. I hope we get his book next!

I really liked this book more than I thought I would and I know that this isn’t for everyone but the writing and relationship in this book was amazing.

Open Play was everything I imagined and so much more. Both Luna David and Morningstar Ashley did an amazing job when they wrote this story. I'm a picky reader when it comes to MMM because *I* feel some authors get it right and some don't. But that's just how I feel.
And with these guys, there is already an established couple bringing in a third.
Open Play picks up where Open Encounters left off. Geoff, Misha and Lukas trying to figure out how they were going to make their new realionship as a triad work, with Lukas living on the other side of the country.
And here's the thing. The authors didn't gloss over anything. There were issues that cropped up and the authors faced them head on. It wasn't always all sunshine and roses with these three men. They fought hard for what they wanted, all three of them. Mistakes were made, and at one point I felt that I could scream at one character because you just know they were going to do some dumbass thing, and I'm over here, "no, you idiot! Don't do that!" But did they listen? Noooo.
But besides that, this is one of the few MMM books that get the dynamics right for a triad, in my opinion. The love these three men have for each other made my heart stutter and I had all these feeling for them. Misha is one of my favorite characters in this series and he shone. He really is the sweetest and yet has a bratty side as well. Their scenes (especially the role playing one) together was also smoking 🔥 🔥🔥
We get to see some familiar faces that made an appearance, as well as some newcomers that intrigued me. This book was worth the wait and I enjoyed it so much.
Now, if I can just convince these ladies to give me Andy's story next, lol.
Brava, ladies.

This is my favorite kind of Daddy Kink - no age play/no littles - and the short story where these characters were introduced was really great so I’m was so excited about this release...
Unfortunately it was disappointing. The relationship issues were overly played out - “get the fuck over it already” came to mind a lot. The chemistry that was so hot in the short story was lost as parts of it came across to me as 2 Dads raising a child together. Deflated the heat factor for me.
I found myself skimming by the end of the book.
I love these authors & Luna’s book Let Me In is an all time best read so I’m bummed. However loving the previous books in the series I’ll read what comes next

I love the story of Misha, Geoff, and Lukas. I am a big fan of mmm when it's done properly. Being in a throuple is a tremendous amount of work and I think the story reflected that.

The book was very sex heavy, which yay! However, for me, it took away from the story. I really wanted deeper character development. I wanted to know the motivation behind everything they did. Not that there wasn't some of that, but not nearly enough. I want to feel like I truly know the characters, but I was left feeling like they were acquaintances. For a book that length, I think I should know them backward and forward. The book seemed disjointed with abrupt changes in timelines which made it hard for me to really sink into the story.

All of that being said, I still loved the story. Who wouldn't love Misha? I just really wanted to know more about him, as well as more of Geoff's background. There were some beautiful and heartbreaking moments. The scene in the club was outstanding and one of the best things in the entire book. I could read that over and over again. Seriously beautiful.

I look forward to coming books in the series. There were several side characters that definitely need their own stories.

*sigh*

I tried, I really tried to love this book, but I still have mixed feelings about this triad. I thought this book will be the turning point for me and after I read I can honestly say that I was wrong before and this triad is everything and love them...but... sadly I wasnt wrong before. The feelings, the emotions, the characters - they just didn't get to me. I still think that Misha and Geoff is perfect together and they didn't need Lukas... But if I see it from Lukas POV, then yeah, he needs Geoff and Lukas in his life.

It was sad to see Lukas's struggle between his love life and workaholic days. I hurt for Misha, he is such a cutie and didn't deserved this 'left behind' feeling. And then I hurt for Geoff too, because he loved his best friend.

My biggest dislike was the few kink scenes. And I didn't felt the Daddy kink either. And please someone tell me where I was wrong and missed some good scene, becuase I don't remember any gangbang from this story.

So on some level I enjoyed this book. There were some really good scene - especially the role play and the edging. But those chapters when nothing happend only that Geoff and Misha was missing Lukas really bad, and Lukas always just worked... those were boring as hell. I know it needed for the storyline and for the feels of everything they needed, but I was bored out of my mind sometimes and I needed some erotica between those dry pages.

I'm sad that my feelings are the same as before, although I recommend this book.

Coming Together!

More role-play, more sexy times and bits of a tumultuous romance between Couple Geoff & Misha and their plus one Lukas. This read was a bit disappointing, lacking the deep connection between the MCs and the story was a bit too long. Also, I thought the angst was superficial and the storyline was based mostly on the elaborate lusty role-playing. It’s just an okay read. However, I hope Andy and Sam get their own HEA story. I wish I liked this more than I did! I had very high hopes, but there were a couple issues I had that kept me from completely enjoying this story.

1. Why the FUCK didn’t Lukas just quit his goddamn job from the very beginning? It made him miserable and it compromised the beginning of a very promising relationship.

2. Again, why the FUCK was Lukas such a dumbass about not talking about his feelings? Like, when he was feeling left out...fucking talk about it, don’t just be like “THIS ISN’T WORKING!!!”

I did really like the dynamic of the relationship though. I think Lukas, Misha, and Geoff as a throuple actually worked really well and they were just amazing together. They all loved each other equally and sweetly and sexily.

Geoff was an asshole after the first half of the book. Granted, Lukas made a mistake, but Geoff, being a dick and punishing him emotionally and mentally for it, didn't make the situation any better. He just hurt someone who loved him for no real reason. Sure, all three had things to work out, but Geoff

This was painful to read. I almost DNF a couple of times. The lack of communication and sharing of feelings made it hard to enjoy and hope that they worked it out. It got to a point I didn't care either way, I just wanted it to end. It took forever for Lukas to grow a pair and say how unhappy he was...uh I could go on forever. I will continue on in the series with hopes that Brad and Andy's book is better.

Sweet, kinky heat

Absolutely love this series.
Misha is a sweet, sassy sub who loves his Sir.
Geoff is Misha's equally strict and caring Dom.
Lukas and Geoff have been lovers in the past and are now best friends who still play together.
When Geoff invites Lukas for a few days of sharing Misha, the passion and chemistry between the three of them is incendiary.
Lukas also finds himself longing for the type of relationship that Geoff and Misha have.
When it's time for Lukas to go home, all three are loathe to separate.
Misha because he's realized that he wants Lukas to be his Daddy and Geoff because he sees how perfect they all seem for one another.
The road to happiness for them is not an easy one.
They're separated by distance and while Lukas initially makes the effort to travel to be with them, eventually he allows his work to take precedence over their budding relationship and it almost has disastrous consequences.
When Geoff puts his foot down because Misha is being continuously hurt, Lukas realizes he has to make amends and moves heaven and earth to rectify the situation.
It's not easy though, especially since Geoff is now leery of Lukas because his faith and trust in him has been shaken.
At the same time, Lukas finds himself feeling as though he's on the outside looking in on Geoff's and Misha's relationship, not at all a part of them.
It takes hard work, determination, all of them pushing their boundaries to be vulnerable with one another and of course Misha ends up saving them when he gets the ball rolling to push them past their awkwardness with one another.
A beautifully messy and realistic portrayal of love.

Open Play picks up right where Open Encounters left off - with a new triad trying to figure out how to make a relationship work. It's kind of difficult because it's all very new, and Lukas lives across the country.

This is a great MMM story. Misha the sweet boy to Sir Geoff and Daddy Lukas. Geoff and Lukas the best friends. And all three of them in a new relationship that includes two different already established relationships. Their dynamic is interesting and written well, and did I mention super steamy? Whew! But I always, always say that for a menage to be successful, the physical has to be well-balanced with the emotional, and I am glad to say this is a pretty well-balanced relationship. I liked reading of their struggles to make everything work, and I liked that there are an equal amount of fun times, too. All in all, a really interesting, delicious journey for these three men.

This book picks up shortly after Open Encounters, and they are best read as a pair for the full context and story arc. Despite the premise of the series and the previous book’s events, this story is lighter on the BDSM and more about the negotiations of opening a relationship. Misha and Geoff have a loving, kink-based relationship, and while they have played with others before, this is the first time emotion has come into the picture. Geoff and Lukas have a previous friendship, and it seems like it should be no issue for them to all live happily ever after.

Except even though romance novels promise that ending, the journey to get there is never simple. The sexy bits between all three main characters are fantastic, but the problems crop up when Lukas is at his home across the country. His workaholic tendencies clash with his desire to be a good partner to his lovers. Even when he’s physically closer to them later in the book, the problems keep piling up until all three men are finally honest with each other.

Though Lukas is the cause of the initial problems, Misha and Geoff are not without blame for the issues that continue to plague their relationship. I rolled my eyes a lot while reading because even I could see the problems they all insisted on creating for each other as the story continued.

These authors are excellent writers, but unfortunately, this particular series did not live up to expectations for me. This does not stop me from looking forward to checking out their other works.

Queer rep: gay (mlm), leather, kink

I didn’t read the Kink Chronicles in order (apparently this is book 3?), but I did listen to this on Libby. It was nice to see some leather and kink in my literature, but overall, this one was just okay.

I’m a sucker for a good, gay, kinky, leather story. I’m all for the Sirs and Daddy’s loving on their boy. I especially appreciated how this book had BOTH dominant types and traits taking care of their boy! But the boy was so…. Stereotypical twink. So boring and whiny. There were parts that I adored, but also some that were hard to truly relate to or enjoy.

My favorite scene had to be the end, at the slave auction. That was very well written and easy to visualize! But some of the other parts of the book felt… meh. I also feel like this author did really well at POV and expressing thoughts and emotions more than they did depicting spicy sex scenes. I’ve read AO3 Famfics with more exciting explicit scenes than this book - and they didn’t have the leather or kink component to it!

Overall, I’d say the book is average. It’s not life changing, but I definitely wouldn’t knock it. I enjoyed it and am especially grateful that it had an audiobook so I could partake in it!

Misha was definitely my favourite side character that was introduced in the first book in this series, and pretty much the only reason I decided to read the novella and this book.

Open Play continues where Open Encounters left off, so they need to be read together/in order. While OE was fast paced and spicy, OP went at a slower pace, focusing more on character development and the three men starting to work on a relationship together. They still do scenes, some open door and some closed, some told to us after the fact, making the story focus less on the role play and more on the characters. There are ups and downs, as with any relationship, but I liked the ending a lot, and their found family is a fascinating collection of characters.

This story was a bit slower than I expected, with some unexpected sad turns. I did enjoy seeing them all come together though, and if the authors plan to extend the series, there are several characters I wouldn’t mind reading about. Zach from the first book was another intriguing one, as was Andy, and then this book brought back Sam as well, who only played a tiny part in the first book, and I definitely would like to read more about him and his story, and to see him find someone who will treat him right!

I've always loved Misha and Geoff, and really liked how Lukas was brought into their lives. Initially it was supposed to be temporary, but quickly became something more serious. Unfortunately real life troubles like long distance, an oblivious workaholic, and major lack in communication got in the way of an easy happily ever after.
The character development could have been a bit better. I didn't feel as emotionally connected to them as I would have hoped. I was hoping to learn more about the three main characters. There was brief mention of Lukas coming from a wealthy family, with parents he was very close to. It made me curious about them, as well as, Geoff and Misha's history. What was Misha going to school for, and what did he plan to do when he was done? I imagine him being bored while his Sir and Daddy were off working and he's got nothing but housework and meals to prepare.
I would love to know a smidge more about the new characters mentioned. Maybe because it had been awhile since I read the other stories I couldn't remember some of the people mentioned.. maybe a few added details around the mention of new names in this book could have helped. How they knew this or that person..
Over all the story was the good and filled with some lovely steamy sexy times. I can never get enough of those! I'm glad the triad is finally communicating and getting back to all the happy fun together.

We got a small teaser of Misha, Lukas, and Geoff in book 2, but this book delves deep into their relationship. I felt like I was right there next to them as they fell in love, went through tough times, and came back together, stronger than before. We get to see the reality of a couple opening themselves up to a third, how it can be challenging to mesh three separate lives together and communicate effectively. I love that this book didn't take the easy way out but instead showed how rough patches in relationships take time to heal and that it's important to address what's going on instead of keeping it hidden. Equally important to the story was Misha, Geoff, and Lukas's incredibly kinky, imaginative sex. The role-playing and D/s dynamic were inventive and exciting to read about. I loved seeing all the different ways these three played.

Misha, Geoff, and Lukas share an epic love, one that had my heart aching during their rough patches and swelling up with happiness as they found their way back together. I loved every second of their journey and can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Really great triad story!

This was really good. I was expecting a sexy, kinky story more in line with the previous book, but we got so much more than that! This was a fabulous story about two becoming three. Geoff and Misha are in an established, committed relationship and along comes Lukas. Their journey to becoming a triad was so well done. It was not all sunshine and roses... they struggled, they had challenges to overcome and they had to really work at making their relationship stick. It was very realistic and really satisfying to see the love between the three of them and how they struggled to find their HEA. I adored the dialogue and real conversations between them all. I loved that Misha was submissive to the core but had a mind of his own and spoke up as an equal part of their triad. And of course we did get some very hot role playing scenes as well and they felt so right and were so well done within the story. I hope there is more to come from this series!

It's review time 🎧
Open play
Warning ⚠️: M/M/M romance, very very kinky! BDSM! open relationship.

Narrator score🎧 ; Kale was incredible as always! I love his voice so much. He did an incredible job.

Level of steam🔥: holy smokes!!!! The whole book is about sex! It is full of sex. So.....

Level of anxiety and sadness0😱😢: usually those authors don't write a lot of angst but! In here they did. But it wasn't too much. And I loved it.

The book itself📖: something I can say about this author is that she knows how to write kink she does it very very well and I know this book is a combo of two writers but I did read more books from Luna Davis and she writes Kings very well the book is about 3 men and it was written in a very mature very well-versed manner that I loved the sex was written very vividly I'm it is important when the book speaks about sex I don't think the book is for everyone but I do think the book is good very good actually I did enjoy it but I do enjoy every single genre out there and those authors did an incredible job

Lukas, Geoff, and Misha return from book two as they've decided to try to make it as a threesome. But Lukas's work keeps interfering, his commitment to the job apparently too big and too important to him and he cancels planned trips to see the men and their trips to see him as he's in NYC and they are on the West Coast.

When he realizes what he's doing and how important they are to him, he quits the job, packs up and moves west without even telling them. The story is mostly about mistakes made, commitments in more than words, and the work it takes to put action to commitment. Lots of angst, lots of misunderstandings, but moments of sweetness and love, and of course, plenty of sex.

I liked it but not as much as the previous stories. My true measure for this being only 3 stars for me is that I put it down a number of times and read something else instead so it sure wasn't riveting for me. All in all, though, a nice cap to the series.

I haven’t really read many books with triads/trios, so I’m always interested in expanding my horizons and trying out more of them. While I did like this overall, I felt like the relationship between these 3 wasn’t as strong as it could have been. I really liked Misha, Lukas grew on me but made me mad a few times, and I wasn’t a huge fan of Geoff. The dynamic between each of their individual relationships felt a bit off, so then their group relationship wasn’t as strong.

This wasn’t bad, but I just don’t think these characters really resonated with me. I heard somewhere that there are supposed to be more books coming out eventually. I think Andy’s supposed to get a book. He has intrigued me since he was introduced in the first book from the series. The audiobook and narrator kept me entertained enough that I’ll give this 3 out of 5 stars I think.

Three is not a crowd

Just finished Open Play and I have to say I love this series. Geoff, Lukas and Misha had a lot of obstacles to overcome to get their HEA but it was worth it. Having 3 POV'S really helped carry the story and let me really dive into the minds of the guys to see how intricate and hard it can be to be a throuple. So many feelings and thoughts were conveyed by the authors' writing. I really enjoyed this mmm book better than others I have read because of these wonderful ladies. I loved Misha's cheeky spirit and he was the glue that kept everything together. He delved into his role playing and made me laugh so hard with his little quips. I would love to meet him in person. Highly recommend this series and want more boys getting their Daddy's or Sirs.
